We love Corral winery! We stop by their tasting room every time we are in town. The wine is delicious. Our favorites are the Sauv Blanc, Pinot and petit Sarah, and we always enjoy the flights. Their new location is gorgeous, with so much outdoor space in the back. The entire crew is so friendly and always make us feel welcome. They are family and dog friendly as well. You should definitely stop by!

Visited Corral Wine earlier this year and enjoyed every last minute. Everything from the drive up here to the versatile wine to the customer service exceeded my expectations. Situated in the beautiful and charming Carmel Valley, the drive boasts sweeping views of fields, meadows and vineyards. The tasting room is small but inviting and relaxing with lounge chairs and bar seating throughout. I was able to taste just about every wine and my favorite was absolutely the Chardonnay. I am not usually a Chardonnay fan but the fruity and almost tropical aromatics of this wine really hit the mark for me. Jess, the tasting room manager, largely contributed to my wonderful experience. She really knows these wines and goes above and beyond to help you find the perfect wine for any occasion. If I lived closer I would absolutely be a wine club member. I can't wait to return and see what amazing wines they produce next!

The Carmel Valley is a great way to spend an afternoon if you're vacationing in Carmel or Monterey. If you're looking at reviews to determine if you should go, do it. We were at one of the more popular tasting rooms and asked where we should go next and without hesitation they told us about a new tasting room just a few doors down called Corral so we decided to give it a shot. I'm glad we did! This is a nice, cleanly designed tasting room (dog friendly) with very friendly staff. There are a few spaces outside as well. Most importantly, the wine is excellent. The Pinot, Zin, and Sirah were each great with my preference being towards the bolder Petite Sirah. Corral is a winner. If I lived nearby I'd definitely be a member.

I'm so glad we happened to stop in here! Great service during our wine tasting and I loved the Petite Sirah.

    Our awesome hostess, Jess!

The hostess greeted us immediately with a complimentary splash of rosé and walked us to our table right away (no waiting, no confusion, just genuine hospitality!). Within minutes, our server came over and kindly offered us a few wines to try before ordering, which felt like a lovely mini tasting experience. We ended up ordering the Big Basket snacks, a bottle of Chardonnay for the table, drinks for the kids, and of course took a sparkling wine home with us as well. A small detail I especially appreciated: the wine box is simple cardboard without oversized branding or wasteful packaging - practical, elegant, and actually reusable. The atmosphere here is absolutely wonderful: a beautiful courtyard, soft music, charming decorations hanging in the trees, a cute swing, and some of the most gorgeous blooming bushes and landscaping we've seen at a winery. The entire place feels so thoughtfully maintained, peaceful, and inviting. We spent a couple of hours there without even wanting to go anywhere else afterward. We took so many photos and already know we'll definitely be back. Thank you, Holden, and the whole team for turning our day around.

Nestled along the rolling hills, the estate has an immediate sense of calm, quiet, elegant, and intentionally intimate. It's the kind of winery where the experience feels carefully curated, yet completely unpretentious. The wines themselves are exceptional. Pelio leans into cool-climate sophistication, producing whites and reds that are wonderfully balanced, expressive, and full of character. Their Pinot Noir is especially noteworthy, bright, layered, and gently complex, with a finish that feels almost coastal in its freshness. The Chardonnay is equally impressive: crisp, clean, and beautifully textured without ever being over-oaked. Every pour reflects thoughtful winemaking and the unique Carmel Valley microclimate. The staff is knowledgeable without being pushy, offering insights into the estate's philosophy, vineyard practices, and terroir with a genuine sense of enthusiasm. The setting, surrounded by vineyards, soft breezes, and sweeping valley views, makes it easy to linger. If you're exploring Carmel Valley's wine scene, Pelio Estate is an absolute must-visit.

Josh and Julie are the perfect hosts as are the wonderful staff (Jon Karlos & Aubry) who always make us feel welcomed. I am a huge fan of their Reds, the Zinfandel they did an unfiltered Zinfandel . It's fun to taste both versions side by side. Aside from the sediment present in the unfiltered version, I would have to say that version is my choice, but both are quite nice. Their Cabernet Sauvignon is not your typical heavy cab. It's fruit forward and somewhat light making it easy to drink with or without food, and also is available in unfiltered. The Petite Syrah is their heaviest wine and just begs for some hearty BBQ to enjoy with, this also is available in unfiltered. The unfiltered Reds may or may not be available as their is a limited amount bottled. The wine clubs are affordable and ship only 3 times per year. With membership, you are offered free tastings and a generous discount. The wine club pick up parties are wonderful.....great food, live music and plenty of wine flowing in a lovely location. If you are in the area, give it a try, you won't be sorry.

Turns out to have worked in our favor as we had a very good experience. JK, who is mentioned in other reviews, was an excellent host. We lucked out with not many patrons when we first got there, so we got pretty much all his attention. He did a great job of discussing the wines being poured, and gladly engaged in other conversation. The wines were excellent and the space was comfortable. There is also outdoor seating areas that looked nice. Definitely worth stopping at again in the future. There is a store just a few steps away where you can buy good crackers to have with your tasting.

Their wines are crushed, fermented, and bottled in Mendocino county and the family lives here locally and runs their wine business here in Monterey County (they also have a new tasting room in Monterey). Julia was our hostess and runs the tasting room in the village (and it sounds like she runs their family business as well). My wife and I enjoyed a flight of 5 wines. We liked their reds (Grenache, Syrah, and Zinfandel) more than their whites. All three reds were older 'library' wines, being 10-12 years old, which is unusual and a fun angle to their wine tasting offering. We haven't experienced being served older wines in the neighboring wine rooms, which makes blue fox unique in the village. Blue Fox had an unassuming tasting room, but has spectacular exterior grounds. Lots of room for serving large parties. In fact, they have a beautiful wood burning pizza oven for serving flatbreads on Sunday and have live music on occasion. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience at Blue Fox and learning about Julia and her husband's family business. We will be back with friends and family on Sundays to try their wood fired flatbreads paired with their delicious Syrah.
