Tasting Room in Carmel Valley Village for the first time this weekend, and it ended up being one of those experiences that reminds you why Carmel Valley is so special. From the moment we walked in, Marissa took wonderful care of us. She was incredibly knowledgeable about the wines but also warm and unpretentious. You never felt rushed, and she made the whole tasting feel relaxed and personal. But the real highlight came when Adrian, the winemaker, joined us. Instead of a quick hello, he sat with us and spent real time sharing his story, how he came to winemaking, the "why" behind the wines, and even stories about his growing family. It turned what could have been a simple tasting into something much more memorable. This is exactly what we love about Carmel Valley compared to Napa or Sonoma. Here, the winemakers still pay attention. They sit down with you. They give you time. You leave feeling like you've not only tasted great wine, but actually connected with the people behind it. This was our second winery we visited on our wine trip. When we entered the winery we were greeted by staff. Staff was very polite and very friendly. We were seated and served our wines. During our wine tasting we had four wines to taste. All the wines were tasty and very enjoyable. I was able to meet one of the owners of the winery. He was very pleasant and polite. We bought a bottle of Pinot noir which was one of our favorite. The ambiance is customer service friendly and the vibe is very chill. The layout is spacious and the vibe is relaxing. This is another great winery to go to if you are in Carmel Valley. read more

We love Corral winery! We stop by their tasting room every time we are in town. The wine is delicious. Our favorites are the Sauv Blanc, Pinot and petit Sarah, and we always enjoy the flights. Their new location is gorgeous, with so much outdoor space in the back. The entire crew is so friendly and always make us feel welcome. They are family and dog friendly as well. Visited Corral Wine earlier this year and enjoyed every last minute. Everything from the drive up here to the versatile wine to the customer service exceeded my expectations. Situated in the beautiful and charming Carmel Valley, the drive boasts sweeping views of fields, meadows and vineyards. The tasting room is small but inviting and relaxing with lounge chairs and bar seating throughout. I was able to taste just about every wine and my favorite was absolutely the Chardonnay. I am not usually a Chardonnay fan but the fruity and almost tropical aromatics of this wine really hit the mark for me. Jess, the tasting room manager, largely contributed to my wonderful experience. She really knows these wines and goes above and beyond to help you find the perfect wine for any occasion. If I lived closer I would absolutely be a wine club member. If you're looking for a new go to spot in carmel Valley, this is it. Happened to stop in on a Monday and the winemaker Adrian was manning the tasting room. Wines were spectacular, but the experience was even better. Adrian is knowledgeable, and knows his stuff. He explained his wine making philosophy without being pretentious. The SLH chardonnay was one of the best I've had in awhile, and I work at a winery! Also loved the estate bellnranch pinot and kw ranch pinot. Stop in to support this new winert!! read more

This was a fantastic stop during our time in Carmel Valley. We found this place based on a recommendation from another area winery and we're so glad we did. The wines were all fantastic, the Sauvignon Blanc was one of the most interesting and wonderful ones we've tried, tropical and complex. The Rose was also one of our favorites in recent memory.We split a tasting and were pleasantly surprised at the variety and number of wines we were able to try. Stopped in for an afternoon tasting. I got the 4-wine taster and my friend got the 6-wine taster (I tried the ones she got as well, but someone had to drive). The staff behind the bar did a great job prefacing each wine before we tasted it and left us discussing what flavors and situations we would drink the wines in. Knowledgeable and engaging staff made the afternoon enjoyable for our visit to Carmel Valley. I will be back to enjoy more of their full bodied wines! Ask for Sam if you stop in. read more

The Carmel Valley is a great way to spend an afternoon if you're vacationing in Carmel or Monterey. If you're looking at reviews to determine if you should go, do it. We were at one of the more popular tasting rooms and asked where we should go next and without hesitation they told us about a new tasting room just a few doors down called Corral so we decided to give it a shot. I'm glad we did! This is a nice, cleanly designed tasting room (dog friendly) with very friendly staff. There are a few spaces outside as well. Most importantly, the wine is excellent. The Pinot, Zin, and Sirah were each great with my preference being towards the bolder Petite Sirah. Corral is a winner. If I lived nearby I'd definitely be a member. read more

Went t I the Corral Tasting Room and found it to be a wonderfully relaxing place. The service from Jess and Larry was amazing. The wine that I tasted was amazing, each one was better than the previous. Jess was wonderful and knowledgeable and educated me on their wines and what makes Corral so great Watching her with my group and the others that were there, it seemed like we were all family. After about 10 minutes,we were all laughing and talking with each other and comparing wines. One couple had their dog with them and Jess made sure it had water and some treats. Larry has made some great wines and Jess is a wonderful hostess in the Tasting Room. Cannot wait to return Signed up for the wine club and received my 3 wines sonner than I thought they would get there. Now I am sharing Corral Wines with my Texas friends and family. Drive down from San Francisco to Corral Wines Tasting Room and after the amazing drive, the experience was even better. Met the owner, Larry and his tasting room manager, Jessica. We felt like we walked into an old friend's house, the vibe was so cool and relaxing. Jessica made us feel like family immediately. She made sure we knew what we were tasting, from the different flavors to the different aromas and complexities of the wine, yet she made it seem so simple. She made sure we were comfortable and ready for the next tasting before she served us. She introduced us to the other people in the room, strangers to us at first, but soon we were all family. Jessica made sure to compare our tastings and honestly, I think she went out of her way to give us some bonus tastings, but don't tell... Joined the wine club and received my first 3 bottles of wine shortly after our trip back home. She gave us a heads up on all the delivery info and it matched perfect to what she said. Can't wait for the next delivery and their new wines. Larry has created something great and Jessica made sure we experienced it completely. I have had the pleasure of visiting Corral Wine's tasting room. There was a lovely gal there that was both energetic and insightful about what she was pouring for my wife and me. Unfortunately I can't remember her name but she did a wonderful job explaining tasting notes, grapes, and the variety of vintages they had. I especially loved their devotion to reducing waste and coming up with a solution for grapes that would have otherwise been wasted after the devastating fires. We decided to join their wine club and that is where this review really stems from. I saw the 1 star review posted just today by and impatient person that doesn't seem to understand the workings of a small business. We had a similar experience in the tasting room. Very relaxed with minimal other guests. However, as a small business there also comes a small number of employees. I was given a similar response that "we're a small winery and very busy." Which is a completely understandable situation. With the growth in sales it isn't always easy to meet demand as a small business. All of this to say, we had a beautiful experience at the tasting room by an extremely professional and personable woman. I am more than happy to be a patient adult and join the list of people waiting. Rather that defaming a company and complaining over a minor delay. After all wine really embodies that old adage by John Wooden "good things take time." Maybe switch to coors light if you're in a hurry. I have never enjoyed white wine until Jess, the incredible tasting room manager, suggested I try their Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc, and let me tell you - it is hands down the best white wine I have ever tasted! I bought 4 bottles! And don't get me started on the red wine - it is fabulous!!! The Corral Wine team will greet you with warmth and you will absolutely enjoy your time there. Tasting experience ended with a bitter taste in my mouth. Rep at winery was unable to calculate shipping for the wine paid for on site. Provided all info and was assured they would reach out with any issue. Week goes by, no wine arrives. Go to website, only way to contact is by filling out a form. Complete form, get response saying they "have been busy and/or closed" didn't have time to get back to me, and cc info was needed to add shipping fees. "We're a small winery and we were very busy" ??? We were literally the only people there on a Saturday. I guess my little 2 bottle order wasn't enough for them to be bothered over and any element of fun or enjoyment was lost. Don't expect anything other than what you get on site, good Customer Service is a thing of the past in Carmel. read more

We hosted an event with Corral Wines and every detail of the evening was perfect from the Sauvignon Blanc we were handed upon arrival to a description of why Larry pursued his passion to start Corral Wines and then culminating in an ATV ride up to the top of their property to taste our last wine during sunset over Carmel Valley.
