Amazing tasting room in a beautiful Carmel shopping center. We love the Pinot Noir and the Roses. A very welcoming and friendly establishment---try it and you won't be disappointed

Phenomenal Pinots (best in the valley) and amazing customer service. We always love our time and experience at wrath.

Wrath offers some of the best Pinot Noir in the Santa Lucia Highlands - elegant, balanced, and true to the region which is the best part for me. The tasting room experience is welcoming and unpretentious, making it a great stop for anyone wanting to explore quality SLH wines in a relaxed setting. With a knowledgeable team of Wrath hosts you're in for a great glass or tasting flight.

Fantastic time at Wrath, both in the Carmel Plaza, and out in the valley. Incredible Pinot, supreme light fruit profile, excellent age, and thoughtful winemaking makes for an excellent wine. With knowledgeable service, Kathy and her team are outstanding. Strongly recommend for those who love a coastal Pinot

Stopped in for one of the three wine tasting offers (see menu). I ended up getting the winemaker's tasting which started from lightest to boldest beginning with a Chardonnay and ended with a Grenache-Syrah. The wines were all good quality and my favorite ended up being the 115/667 Pinot. Note that the numbers reference the clones of grapes used in the wine. We ended up walking away with two bottles. Service was friendly and attentive. There was less of a show compared to other tastings but enough for me. I also received a couple of complementary pours based on my feedback / preferences of wine profile. The store was a decent size and could house around 15 people comfortable for sitting space. Dog friendly and conveniently located in Carmel Plaza. Yummy Certified!

Our hostess was so sweet and kind. She was running the place alone for the most part but gave us good pours and was generally on time. A+ to the establishment for recommending we bring in cheeses from The Cheese Shop next door-- the selection was amazing! We did a $25 tasting of 4 EX wines and got one waived with the purchase of 2 bottles (I think $30 minimum).

Have to love the atmosphere here at Wrath. The tasting room is nice and cozy with a good amount of spots to sit and enjoy your wine. The pourers are very knowledgeable and helpful in helping you decide the best course of action. The seating is nice as they do also have an outdoor space that is great to be able to have a glass of wine and enjoy the crisp Carmel air.

Great spot with seriously good Pinot Noir--smooth, balanced, and full of flavor. The staff was super friendly and knew their stuff, which made the tasting fun and easygoing. Definitely worth a stop if you're into good wine and good vibes.

Second time at Wrath! We did the ex tasting but we should have probably done at least one tier up to try more of their Pinot noirs. The white wines they have are good but they're more known for their Pinot noir. It's also dog friendly and they have our dogs a treat at the end!

This bar has a great location and seemed to be very busy compared to many of the other tasting rooms in the area. Wine itself is pretty good - taste profile is in line with wines that are $25-$45. The person who helped me was pleasant & helpful. Nice place to stop after a day of walking around.

5 Stars - A Truly Wonderful Tasting Room and Incredible Community Partners!…read moreWe had the pleasure of visiting Caraccioli Cellars in charming Carmel-by-the-Sea, and it quickly became one of our favorite stops. The tasting room is absolutely wonderful--intimate, cozy, and beautifully designed with a sleek, modern cellar vibe. The striking Perota wood bar, warm ambient lighting, and inviting seating options make you feel right at home while sipping on their elegant sparkling wines and exceptional Pinot Noirs. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate, turning every tasting into a memorable experience. Whether you're a bubbly lover or exploring their still wines, the quality shines through with every pour. It's the perfect sophisticated yet relaxed spot right in the heart of downtown Carmel. What truly stood out to us was how generously Caraccioli Cellars supported our Signature Day Spa during our recent ribbon-cutting celebration for the stunning new location in Carmel Plaza. They went above and beyond to help make the event so special and successful--what an amazing community partner! The turnout was incredible, and their involvement added that extra touch of elegance and warmth. Thank you so much, Caraccioli Cellars team! We can't recommend your tasting room highly enough, and we're so grateful for your kindness and support. We'll be back soon for more of those delicious wines--and maybe a spa day paired with a bottle to take home. Cheers! -- Tonya & the Signature Day Spa Team

We went in with pretty high hopes but ended up feeling underwhelmed by the offerings. A lot of the wines tasted watered down, mild, and somewhat similar to one another. This was true for both the reds and the whites. The charcuterie and cheese pairing was also disappointing, especially when compared to Napa, where tastings often feature thoughtfully curated cheeses and meats paired with each wine. That said, the staff were very kind and informative. They explained each wine carefully and in an engaging way, which definitely helped make the experience enjoyable overall. Ultimately, though, the wines themselves were underwhelming and none of them really WOW'd us. They also felt a bit overpriced per bottle (~75$) especially considering you can easily find excellent wines at Napa vineyards for a better value.

That said, I was shocked and disappointed to learn that the tasting room will be closing in March and apparently the Talbot wine production facility on River Road has already been shuttered. All of this is due to the acquisition of the brand by Gallo wines, coupled with a down turn in the wine industry. As a consumer, this really pisses me off. Yet another example of a larger business buying and closing down the competition, thereby taking away another option for the consumer as well as eliminating the experience and enjoyment of a quality wine. I HATE GALLO FOR THIS!!

After coming to Windy Oaks first, we were met with sensational wines and an enologist and humble sommelier named Pat! He explained each wine so well and took his time to talk to each group in a relatively crowded tasting room. Anyone who walks into this tasting room with Pat can tell that he cares about the owners, the business, and his craft. We felt cared for by him and we signed up for the wine club as well. He talked about how the owners are awesome and very happy to accommodate customers (within reason). Also, how it is a small family business and my wife and I loved that! We went to a couple other wineries, but ended up back at Windy Oaks and talking with Pat. Both times, we met very kind customers and had great conversations with each. Many walked in and Pat knew them and their orders. The ambiance and environment were top tier! If you're looking for a winery to meet great people and drink great wine, I'd recommend Windy Oaks. It's truly not even close. My wife loved the SLH Chardonnay. I loved many wines including the Clone 943, Reserve Pinot (MUST TRY), Mouvedre (MUST TRY), and Diane's Block! There's wines for many different palates here! They also take very great care of their members! We got some cheese from the cheese shop and enjoyed it with the wine as well. Obviously, Pat was a large reason why the wine tasting experience was so enjoyable! We will be back for great wines and hoping to see him again!
