I have to admit... I was nervous to purchase a car from Sea View. I live 3-1/2 hours away and I knew nothing about the dealership, but they had the car I had been searching for. I called and asked for the Sales Manager, Kevin. I was told he was off that day, so I ended up sending him an email. I didn't expect to hear anything that day, but later that evening I received a phone call from Chris Mills. He told me Kevin had received my email and asked him to give me a call. We had a great conversation and that was just the start of my Sea View experience. The car was so new to their lot they only had one stock photo of the vehicle. Chris sent me a whole photo shoot of the car, better than any website I have ever seen. His communication was phenomenal and his patience was endless. Chris answered every question I asked... even the ones I knew were stupid... he never made me feel that way. He treated me like I was buying a Rolls Royce even though I was buying a pre-owned car that was already well below asking price. Every call, every email, every text was answered. Chris walked me through the entire process remotely. He worked with my insurance agent, NYS DMV, and every single thing was in place when I was finally able to make it down to the dealership. The entire process was flawless and the easiest car buying experience I ever had. I had terrible experiences trying to purchase a car closer to home. One dealership never returned my call and another dealership lost the car I was hoping to purchase. I felt like I was begging dealers to sell me their vehicles. So I really didn't have a good feeling going into this sale at Sea View... but WOW was I impressed. This was honestly the best car buying experience I ever had. I cannot say enough about Kevin and Chris. I only wish their dealership was closer to me, but it won't stop me from buying another car from them. They will be the first dealer I call. read more

Sales was a joke. gave them my offer on a 2025 unit and then test drove. We came back and they wasted 30 min in a cubicle chit chatting. I was the only customer there. I got them down to a close to what I wanted OTD price, but two days later I had a question on the vehicle's capacity sticker. So, I went to the dealership and stood by the unit on the lot. I then called my salesperson (Travis) on my cellphone and asked my legitimate question about the cargo capacity sticker as it varies by vehicle and how they are equipped. I asked for a picture of it. Travis told me. "It's out on a test drive with another customer and if it doesn't sell, I'll get back to you." I was standing right next to it (while they claimed it was currently out on a test drive). I was ready to buy that day, but glad I didn't. And no, it hadn't just come back. I had been there for a couple of hours inspecting it before calling him. I got the deal I wanted elsewhere. I'm all for the nature of the business and the fact that they need to max profit and the customer max savings. But when there is bold-faced lying, that's when I walk. If you want a deal, do not go into this or any dealership at all. Do it all in writing and force them to give you the best OTD price in writing (itemized). All of the "Can I get you coffee?" while they disappear for 20 minutes at a time, is old-fashioned and stupid. There are now even AI agents that will negotiate for you under a bogus e-mail address, to start the process. Don't fall for the "schedule an appointment" nonsense. It's all a stupid tactic. In writing, get the OTD price, take it with you, then do the test drive, and finalize. read more

Brought my 2017 Chrysler Pacifica in for an intermittent Auto Start/Stop problem (that my mechanics could not solve). They did some testing and did not find anything. The problem happened again within hours and has continued to happen getting worse. I called back asking if they had an Electronics Expert. They have one who apparently floats between shops. So I'm disappointed they gave me the car back without 1. Poring through the Chrysler database to find similar cases. 2. suggesting waiting for the expert. I had to ask. I had an appointment with a sales rep who I have worked with previously for a certain time. I came in with my husband at that certain time and was passed off to his associate. That salesman explained he just got another customer that was brought up from service. If guessing that this customer was a sure bet on closing a deal?? His associate was interesting. We started talking about what I'm looking for and next thing I know, she's just matching me to another car the same size of my current car. Took a while before she showed us another sized vehicle. As I test drove the car, I had some questions. I kept hearing her phone notifications going off and then I kept hearing the clicking from the key presses. Now I don't mind that you have your phone because I do understand you may need it for business but I do get annoyed when you're paying more attention to your phone and not enough attention to a customer that is a buyer. That's just rude. But what I find more incredulous is the fact that I have dealt with this salesman on numerous occasions in the past. More than once, we bought other vehicles and have giving him referrals/leads. I honestly thought that he would have treated us better by not passing us off to his associate when we had an appointment. I'm very disappointed with him and Seaview Jeep. Would I come back? NO...because I don't appreciate the fact that they use the old-fashioned method of negotiating monthly payments and not showing me the purchase price plus add-on's (DMV fees, doc fees, other BS fees...). I can only review Sea View on the sales experience. Sea View has one of the largest stocks of Jeeps you will find. If you are looking for a low mileage lease,(7500) miles per year and a very modestly equipped Jeep, this is the place to go. They advertise low costs leases and I firmly believe I could secure that deal if it is what I wanted. Ultimately the numbers didn't work on the Jeep I wanted, the sales rep Howard was very knowledgeable and knows his business. I made an appointment for a simple oil change that Chris from Jeep Store quoted it would take 1 hour. After dropping my car off I wait 1 hour, 15 minutes before asking if my car is ready. Service desk guy checks with mechanics and says that they hadn't started. He then goes to lunch. So I waited another 20 mins and asked another service guy behind the desk, where is my car, how much longer. He then goes out to the service bay and disappears. It's now 1 hour and 50 minutes and they hadn't even pulled my car into the service bay. I finally give up and leave. Nearly 2 hours to start an simple oil change. That's terrible customer service and there absolutely no excuse for that. I'm taking my business to Pine Belt Jeep. Made an appointment and of course I did not get that deal due to all the fine print (which I expected) but the salesman told me he got me a deal that was close. I agreed on it and we shook hands, he told me that I was approved through their financing dept. after he ran my credit. He even put the truck on my insurance and gave me the key. Then I went to the financing office....as I was signing paper work he said..."I have a better deal for you - $50 more per month at a longer term!" I told him I want the deal we agreed on...I waited another 1/2 hour (after being there for 3 hours) and then the payment magically doubled to $800/month. Called and asked about a car online. Was told it was available. Spoke to pleasant man - advised we were coming from a distance. Continued communicating with him all day until we were 15 minutes out. He advised our information was on one of the other salesperson's desks and he had to leave to get his child. We show up and the car we came to see (and we were 99% sure we were buying) was literally being driven away. Went inside - told our story to the first salesperson we saw - she offered up another car. No thanks. Asked to see manager and explained the situation. He told us we were only talking to his "internet guy" and he has no idea of what is going on on the sales floor. Because that makes a lot of sense. He told us the car just sold five minutes ago. Yeah, sure like when we were talking to the internet guy 15 minutes ago you didn't know that car was going to be driven away in the time it took us to get there? The manager obviously thought he was pretty cool with his fake tough guy Brooklyn accent. They are non-communicative apparently within their own dealership. After visiting several dealerships to purchase a Jeep, I found that even when they advertised one at a good price most of them added outrageous dealer fees, the worst was $3,300. It was a breath of fresh air to visit the Jeep store, where they are friendly, professional and fair. They only had a $390 document fee added to the agreed price, plus the motor vehicle fee and NJ state taxes. They were very professional and had very good COVID protocols. Our salesman Darnell was exceptional, due to the COVID protocols most of the purchase was done outside. Darnell was quick to respond to any questions or requests. The only time we had to go inside was to complete the paperwork with Kevin who was professional and helpful. I've been bringing my car here for years Except when I didn't-and what a mistake that was! Let me start by saying (I guess it's too late to say "Let me start by saying" since I already started but it sounds better than "Let me continue by saying" so I'm sticking with it.) I know less than nothing about cars so I never know whether to trust the service team (and I've been burned in the past as a result when I've gone elsewhere). But the service team here is great: they can understand a non-mechanical description of a mechanical problem, they are knowledgeable and can usually figure out what needs to be done, they are convenient (open six days a week) and friendly/helpful. I just had an amazing experience working with Christopher Mills at the Jeep Store at Seaview Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram. This was my third time getting a Jeep. My first two times were with two different dealers, and while I got great prices on both of them, the experience was beyond frustrating. At both those dealerships, I constantly felt like I was being played and having the wool pulled over my eyes. There was all the unnecessary back and forth where they talked out of both sides of their mouth and failed to perform basic math on how to calculate the taxes on the car. However, the experience with Chris was so much different. He was honest from the start. He listened to my needs and gave me the prices with the proper amount for tax and title payments. I was quoted $5,000 OVER list and a low trade-in for my current truck. When I mentioned my history with Seaview and asked why, the answer that I got was "because they could". They couldn't. There was ample opportunity for confusion but when I arrived a week later everything went smoothly. The sales person Tyquann handled the trade and new purchase with skill. Brought my new 2019 ram in for warranty work. Dropped off my vehicle in the morning after making a appointment and waiting 3 weeks and was told it would be ready at the end of the day. At the end of the day did not receive a call from the service dept after leaving a message and decided to go back and see what the status was. When I arrived I was told sorry we didn't get to it. What's the point of having a appointment if they don't perform the necessary work on the day scheduled. This is a bit unfair because the sales department was very good - Ralph(?) was very helpful and polite. The single star (it would be lower if possible) is for how incredibly bad the service department is. Brand new wrangler had check engine light on periodically since purchase. Brought it in and manager said it was a faulty knock sensor, but "they never go bad, so we'll just reset it and see if it fixes itself". Light came back on and brought it back (light was out by time it came time to drop off - said that they couldn't see the code so I had to bring it back when the light was on. Never mind that I couldn't control when it came on so they told me to stop in when the light came on, even without an appointment. Happened to be driving past the dealership when light came on so i pulled in - they gave me a hard time for coming in without an appointment but they eventually scanned the codes and said they couldn't get a "detailed read" of the code so they couldn't do anything about it. I asked for options and was given none. Went back again and they said its out of warranty so now I have to pay them $120 just to try to read the codes. Then I would have to pay for fixes since warranty expired. Other issues are normal - they lose your appointment reservations regularly and give you a hard time like its your fault. They do make reservations for normal (recall) work and then the work doesn't get done because they don't have the parts in stock - an additional visit. I have spent several hours in the waiting room there listening to them have these same discussions with people on the phone. The only reason this place stays in business is because sales is great but people are locked into going to their service department. One of the worst experiences ever!!! My recommendation is to buy your Jeep from here, skip the dealerships extended warranty (Max Care?) as it is worthless and get your factory service done ANYWHERE else. AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE THE PLAGUE! read more

Dropped my car off for tires and heated seat repair. Car was diagnosed and was told All the elements of the seat need to be repaired. Over 1k later for 2 tires and heated seat. Got into my car with no volume on my Radio. I called an explained and they told mw it would be fixed. I explained that the radio works sometimes if I'm lucky but for the most part no volume.... my radio worked completely before dropping it off here. I was then explained that the same thing that broke my heated seat could have broke my radio.... but I mean shouldn't that have been brought up on the diagnoses before replacing my whole seat for 500..... seems like a rush job to me and I'm not impressed. Bringing to another dealer. Filing small claims. And reporting them to BBB. Bringing car to another dealer that I can actually get a loaner at if I didn't buy the vehicle there. Just save yourself the head ache and go somewhere else. Your welcome.
