They are very excited and appreciative of the time and patience Kendra took with them. Will you pay a bit more than online? Yes you will. But you won't get the superior customer service and that is worth a few bucks to me. Support small business I say! I'm sure you will have a longtime customer with those two. My husband and I were looking to go on a dive trip for our honeymoon. My heart was set on Indonesia as I didn't want to go some where "touristy" like the Caribbean, but at the time we were looking to go, there was a bomb scare in the area, which made us look for another destination. Ken suggested Matangi in Figi and I am so glad that he did. It was absolutely perfect. We were able to get the cultural non-touristy experience we were looking for as the Fijian people are so welcoming and offer a variety of activities where you can visit and spend time with them in their local villages. We also had amazing diving with a really great guide from the resort and wonderful relaxation and pampering that comes with being on your honeymoon. Ken was so easy to deal with when setting up the trip. He gave us lot of options for when we wanted to go and suggestions on the best ways to travel - he even booked us a day room when we had a long lay over between flights, which again ended up being a great suggestion. She has a very petite face and has struggled for years to find one that actually works. Walt was so patient and walked her through everything step by step. He also helped her find basic swim gear, including a shorty wetsuit that fit correctly without leaking. While he was working with her, I explored the massive store and picked up fins, booties, and a full-length wetsuit. I love that they have so much inventory. You can really take your time trying different options and finding what fits best. I was able to compare fins with different bootie lengths and try on wetsuits that were actually sized correctly. Huge shoutout as well to the general manager Rachael and assistant manager Loren for their patience during checkout. My mom was able to drive her gear home, but I was flying back to Virginia the next day and stressing about packing everything. They reminded me about the free shipping over a certain amount, which was an epic stress reliever. Overall, I absolutely love this store. I wish we had something like it where I live. I was only looking for some snorkeling fins, and it was very easy to navigate the store and find…read morethe area where they had a variety of fins in different colors and price ranges from $40-110 adult fins and slightly less for kids fins. Ladies, the fins are sized for men unfortunately, so pick the size that is about 1.5 sizes lower than what you usually wear, based on advice I got from a staff member. Sure enough, as someone who normally wears a women's 11, the size 9-10 fins fit perfectly, and I didn't even bother trying any other sizes. There were plenty of fins for a variety of sizes available, and prices were competitive, reasonable, and accurate compared to their website. The staff member at the register was able to apply the 10% off welcome offer to my order, so I walked away with brand new fins for less than $40! Overall a very smooth process!

They sell the new emotion kayaks for about $450. They also run a full dive shop. They sell a lot of spear fishing gear. It seems like the most common dive in the area is spear fishing. I did not dive with them, but they told me it's $45 to rent the gear and $65 for the day on the boat (or maybe the other way around). Only this is they DO NOT RENT MASKS OR FINS, so you will have to organize them from somewhere else, or buy them at the shop. The place is run by acouple off the beaten track type dudes. They seemed very nice and everything seemed a little negotiable. I would definitely go back and rent from them again. I left with a good vibe.

I had some concerns because although my daughter is a strong swimmer she can be flighty. Mark her instructor was very personable. He has a calm demeanor about him and jolly at the same time. It is clear he loves to dive and teach. My daughter said he has a special way to explain things that make it extra fun. I think Mark was very patient and he let her wander around and take some time to look at everything in amazement, rather than constantly tapping her on the shoulder to get her back on task. This made her experience much more enjoyable and she is totally in love with the underwater world.
