I'm giving this a four because I liked the ambience and I don't want to be biased just because of my personal preference. For starters, let me give you a little history. We have been going to Cajun Fuze for years for this authentic Asian fusion Boiling Crab type experience. For a while they were the only ones in the area that had anything like this. The only ones in the North. So I kind of developed a liking or an acquired taste for their special sauces. I appreciate the the different flavors that you can get as well as the different levels of heat for your food. This place I quickly saw that they did not have those options, or as many. They had the garlic butter flavor and then different levels of their Shazam sauce. What kind of annoyed Us in the beginning was the fact that our waiter was changed several different times ( this was done by writing a name on the plastic table covering with a black Sharpie), so this obviously took up some time to actually get our order started and we were all very hungry. When we finally did get our waiter Vu, he messed up simple things like a lemonade with no ice as my son requested, or when I inquired about what type of tea was used for the sweet tea (black) and opted out because black tea is caffeinated, he still brought my husband and I a sweet tea. Not to mention the tea was not sweet. At that point my nerves started getting a little bad and I started looking at the drink menu even though I didn't come in to taste the alcoholic beverages, I kinda needed one at that point. Trying to save the night and not cause any progressive issues I had a little chit chat with Vu to get an understanding. I told him that I wanted to be compensated for something since we had already started off on a bad foot and we haven't even gotten our food yet. He understood and obliged, and we were good to go after that. I did not want a bad experience after my family and I had waited such a long time to eat and only to experience bad service. So we ordered a variety of things: I had the king crab (one pound) with corn and potatoes and the extra Shazam flavor, house gumbo, along with a strawberry pina colada extra shot. My husband ordered crawfish along with corn and potatoes and he tried the green apple lychee sangria (he thought it was really good). My son ordered snow crabs in the garlic and butter flavor. My gumbo came out first, and we all liked it. Very meaty pieces of shrimp, chicken, crawfish and sausage. The Broth was nice too. Next my son's snow crabs out and honestly I thought they were king crabs! The pieces were huge. I double checked with the waiter because I didn't want any mix ups with our orders, but he clarified they were snow crabs. Not sure if I should've been concerned or not. O_o My husband and I laughed at each other because if that's how the snow crabs looked, I can't imagine how the king size looked. Sure enough, the king crab looked like colossal dinosaur crabs.You'll see in my attached pics. All in all good food; the sauce was a bit different than what I'm accustomed to, but that doesn't make it bad. To me, it had high notes of oregano in it. So as I said, it could just be a personal preference. What really saved the day was Vu's attempt to just make sure we were happy despite the mishaps. I'm not sure if he was new or not because he had to ask others questions about certain things. Also, the place is well kept. I came here years ago when it was fist a wing place, and that was good too. I love how the patio is here, and also the restrooms were clean. I like how the wash area is outside of the lavatory, so the restrooms would not have to be tied up to just wash your hands. Other details I like were the complimentary gloves and bibs for your seafood bag. Nice! The music was good, and the waiters were friendly as well. read more

Was looking forward to trying them out. Wasn't too impressed. The boudin balls were pretty small...I've never had them that small. I liken them to hush puppies. I got the chicken and shrimp and fries. None of my food was seasoned. Luckily I got it to go, because I was able to add my own seasoning. I went here with my family last night and we saw a RAT! It was in the corner booth near the kitchen. Gross. The floors are oily and slippery and I saw a server taking something from her mouth with her hand and then immediately grab a sauce bottle with that same hand to give to a customer. Food was good and felt like I got what I paid for. I liked my service from my server even though I don't remember his name. My margarita was really good as well. My only complaints are: Being asked for money by a homeless person who was able to ask at least 3 tables that I witnessed. Management acted fast and removed him from the premises but he had already past the host station and made it to 3 tables. Not huge but weird cause I 1) never had that happen to me before and why aren't your employees by the entrance? I walked in and no one was there to seat us and was behind a different counter. 2) I have never visited an establishment that has the NO refund policy at the bottom of their menu. They also advise you to accurately place your order or else, you're screwed. So I was being extra cautious placing an order cause me on the other hand...yeah. Anyways, when adding flavors to your margarita some establishments will have an up charge for that flavor. Totally understandable. However, blind fees are added even though the establishment did not do their part by ensuring the price addition for flavors were listed on menu. It's until you receive your check where you're charged $2 more per drink for flavors that weren't specified on the menu for an up charge. Even though, train your team to know it'll be more. The dollar isn't the issue, it's the audacity to tell your guests to make sure they order right or else they're screwed but fail to mention that there is an up charge for a flavored margarita and well, you still have to pay for it. Again, it's the principal because I'm in the industry and I'd do better than this. I'd like to make sure my menu accurately reflects my establishment. That gave me "Hidden fees" and I'm not a fan of that.....So for that, I'll never visit again. First and last. I told him I had never seen anything like this before and I come from NY where we set the standards for the industry and his response was well this is Texas. I came here because I was craving fresh seafood. Unfortunately the only live item was the blue crab. I ended up getting 3 lb with my mom with the mild garlic butter. I got the baked oysters thinking that the oysters were fresh too, I don't think so. The blue crab was cooked okay. It wasn't as delicious as I thought it would be. It wasn't very juicy because it looked a little over cooked and the flavor was just alright. I needed to make my own sauce which was lime salt and pepper on the side. 3/5 I was very sad because I got the recommended one from my server which was the garlic parmesan. Not my cup of tea. The oysters were overcooked and Tiny and the parmesan tasted old. The oysters didn't seem very fresh either. 2/5 My server seemed a little a knowledgeable about the menu. Ask questions like how big the squid was and if the head was intact and she wasn't able to answer them immediately. we asked if we were to get the squid would we be able to grill them instead of putting it in that sauce, she was unsure and answered unknowingly. She definitely did not sell me on anything else. the menu is pretty pricey and for the quality I don't think it's really worth it. The Crawfish at the restaurant is not good at all. It is gritty as if the Crawfish were not purged before boiling them. On another not the wings were good along with the shrimp fried rice. Our waiter NAM made up for where the Crawfish disappointed. NAM provided the best service I have had in a restaurant in a very long time. We enjoyed his attentiveness to our table. Been wanting to try this place since they contacted me on Twitter....lol....we came in here for lunch today and the atmosphere was nice and had a outdoor feeling to it. Lots of tv's to watch football games or whatever. Our waitress Natalia was super cool and nice. My gf ordered the seafood sack which was like $32 but you got a lot of seafood with it!!....Definitely worth it!!...plus you can get it hot as you want it. Normally I don't eat meat or seafood but I had to try their Mix and Match basket, I got the fish and oysters. The only thing about the ordering process I didn't like was that you can't substitute items. That's the only thing that bothered me. Other than that we had margaritas and seafood that was good and tasty. I'm from New Orleans so I was taste testing everything....lol... good spot to eat and drink though. I've been a faithful customer of The Crab Station for about 3 years now. During the pandemic this place brought me so much joy! I'm partial to their lobster tails and their crab leg clusters. Although I've tried the King Crab Legs here, I'd recommend going with the regular crab leg clusters, it's less of a hassle. This establishment services the biggest crab leg cluster portions I've seen in the city of Houston. Most places charge an arm and a leg for anorexic crab clusters with little to no crab meat in them. Not here. On my most recent visit I ordered one of order of lobster tails (2 comes in the bag) and two orders of the crab leg clusters. Both covered in their flame thrower sauce. If you can stand the heat, I'd definitely recommend you to get that flavor. The price is the price, seafood has never been cheap. You pay for what you want! The service is always very professional and expedient. If you're looking for great seafood, this is the location to try. read more

I was hungry, but I didnt fall in love. The staff was friendly and attentive. Location was clean. If I had any suggestion it would be to expand the hallway to the restroom 3 person traffic in opposite direction was a bit tight. Food it was good, but the second hottest hot flame thrower wasn't spicy. The last hottest hot kto was hot after halfway finished. I'm definitely a chili head so this place didn't do justice. Dad didn't enjoy the spicy Poboy. Definitely more of an Asian butter spice twist than I was expecting. Unsure if I'll visit again. read more

I have been coming here for years and really disappointed by my visit today. Warm oysters, left over old, barely warm crawfish, tasteless shrimp. Literally every dish that we got tasted spoiled or old. I saw another review from less than 24hours ago who indicated they had a similar experience. First time visiting and I was impressed. I love the seasoning on the boiled seafood, very delicious and had a kick to it. The crab legs and shrimp were huge, I ordered the snack 2 which comes with 1/2 lb of shrimp, 1lb of crab legs, 1 corn and 1 potato for about $20 the price to me was very pleasing and this snack pack feeds 1 person. The alcoholic beverages on the other hand tasted like fruit smoothies you couldn't even taste the alcohol wouldn't recommend drinks to anyone and wouldn't order them again. We also tried the boudin balls which were ok nothing I would order again. I will stick with the crab legs; always a great choice. Will be returning soon. we had the Shrimp scampi it was delicious, also the crawfish po boy with their spicy garlic sauce we really enjoyed that! We also got the chicken fried rice it was good too. Stopped here on a whim. We got Sack #2 with extra potato, corn and 2 crab clusters and 1/2 doz raw oysters. Side note, it would have been a little more expensive to buy two sack #2s but a better deal. The shrimp was cooked perfectly and 3 of the 4 crab clusters were also perfect. We chose the original sauce which was enough heat for my husband and not too much for me. The $5 margaritas were also very good; no scrimping in the alcohol. The bathrooms were acceptable but could stand a little more. Our server was Vinh and he was professional, courteous and attentive but not annoying. They did not get 5 stars because of the meager portion of horseradish and cocktail sauce with the oysters although they readily provided more and of course the 1 sup par crab cluster. Hey so I live 35 minutes away and this place is worth the drive. As far as seasoning for their seafood boils it's so right. It's not just some oil n salt in the bag. I usually order shrimp scampi which is the best I've ever had and the catfish grilled over noodles with extra Shazam sauce added for spice. I've had many seafood boils but not as good as this place which is why I don't mind the drive. The drinks are very strong and I recommend going early for that cheaper menu. I went to this place today because of a food review and I was not happy The calamari was rubbery, the seafood boil and the fish sauce chicken wings were bland, and the lobster in my lobster roll, which by the way had way too much mayo , and garlic noodles were bland as well as chewy. We love the Crab Station and they love us, they always take great care of us, quick and attentive service. Big crawfish, and frankly the only place we've been going to for crawfish. The fish sauce wings are pretty good, we did get a irrelevant comment from one of the nearby restaurant goers about the smell, I grew up on fish sauce so it's like my ketchup, I just shrugged it off and proceeded to demolished the wings. The only thing we ordered that I didn't like was the baby octopus, I thought it would be the little baby ones that are in soups and stuff, no these mfs were like key fob sized bodied octopus, thankfully the owner was there and he switched us out for some shrimp. Maybe other people like bigger ones, I personally am picky and i like the little ones, makes your savor it more I feel like. The best flavors for us with the crawfish and shrimp were the garlic butter and shazam, I did order some oysters one time and they were bangin, very fresh and clean.
