We drove across the country to pick it up so communication and timing throughout the process were essential. I could have not been happier with how Hector got everything taken care of. He would pick my calls even outside regular business hours. He even helped me out with the registration process after the purchase. I strongly recommend buying a boat through Hector at this location as it was tremendous quality of service and outstanding expertise.

I will start off by saying my experiences at Longshore have been both good and bad. Purchasing, was…read morea bit rocky due to under prepared salesmen at the Charleston Boat Show in 2020 (some promises were made that they simply couldn't keep). But we got past that. The follow-on scheduled maintenance periods were nice. Decent availability, and they were willing to work with my timing to get the boat in and out. Come time for real warranty work. My Robalo R242 had some bonding issues with the center console below the deck and the T-top was structurally failing because of it. Michael Callahan led me on from July 2022 to October 2022 telling me that the work would be covered under warranty blah blah blah. This is nearly 40 emails back and forth of me checking every week, him apologizing for the delay, rinse and repeat. Finally, in October, Michael kindly lets me know that he's doing me a favor by only making me pay $6200 for the repairs. I contacted Robalo, I spoke with the owner of Longshore (Chris is a really nice guy), and I made sure that the issue was confronted. Magically enough, the following week the boat was on a truck headed to Robalo's factory for WARRANTY work! While the boat was away, Michael wrote me out another quote of over $2000 for stuff that I mostly did myself BEFORE THE BOAT WENT IN because I got tired of waiting on Longshore to do it. (Like $300 to secure the foot rest that they improperly installed). The boat came back to Robalo January 18th, and the only things needing to be done were installation of the GPS (was also warranty), and gel coat repairs which would start within the "next few days". THIS WAS TOLD TO ME ON THE 18TH BY MICHAEL CALLAHAN. They broke the acrylic dashboard while installing the new GPS (Stuff happens, not too upset about it. Checks with the rest of my interactions with my amazing "Service Advisor" Michael). I send an email today to Michael to see what the status is, guess what!?!? Another apology for the delay and now, their gel coat guy is "having a personal problem" and will try to get to it early next week. I am completely baffled, and I'm absolutely disgusted with my "Service Advisor" and how this has been handled. Good luck at the boat show! Take your chances, take your luck, but for the love of all that is holy, don't take Michael Callahan as your Service Advisor at Longshore Boats.

I put down 3000K up front that was extra 500 because Johhny said he would "Powerwash the boat all nice and clean" ( I GOT IT BACK NOT CLEANED NO ENGINE AND A MOUNTAIN DEW BOTTLE IN THE BOTTOM OF THE BOAT! ) I got the boat back in 2021 Yes that isn't a typo 3 Years later I took it back.!! I made many calls and trips up to Johhny's and noticed right away that my Engine was gone. I asked Johhny about this and he said he would get a new one in for it. I the meantime his wife did an incredible job with the upholstery and it all sits in my garage in beautiful shape. However, I was completely ripped off by Johhny. I have a boat in the yard with NO MOTOR NO ENGINE NOTHING! I gave him the benefit of the doubt and it was one excuse after another. We even got into it cussing and all and still NOTHING MY SUGGESTION IS RUN!!! Run from the dishonesty and lies, the promises that are never kept to the point where I just had to go get the boat. You would think Johhny would make it right knowing he ripped me off and sent me home with no Engine. Don't believe me? Do a quick Google search on his business and with BBB. Shame on you Johhny. MAKE IT RIGHT! GIVE ME A MOTOR? Mine was cored out and STOLEN Does anyone want to buy a boat with no motor? MAKE IT RIGHT JOHHNY CALL ME AND GIVE ME AN ENGINE AND MY MOTOR COVER!!!!

Why I'll Never Sell a Boat Without Neal Young from Knot 10 Yacht Sales Again!…read more "Why hire a broker from Lake Norman?" you ask. Well, because Neal didn't just list our boat--he delivered buyers! He didn't wait around for things to happen; Neal made them happen. Honestly, we forgot he wasn't even local! When it came to the sea trial and survey, guess who was there? Neal! He knew our boat like the back of his hand and had the buyers lined up, ready to roll. He kept us in the loop the whole way through and didn't skip a beat. Our only regret? Not hiring him sooner! Neal reached beyond our local market and found the perfect new owner for our boat, and now I can't imagine using anyone else. Bonus perk: His fee isn't 10%! Totally recommend Neal--no hesitation, no regrets. We'd do it all over again in a heartbeat! Best wishes for Sublime's new owners

This decision was supposedly made by the brokerage's owner I have been trying to buy the same boat from one of their listings for over a month and have invested two entire days driving a long distance to see the boat. The first salesman I worked with made repeated misstatements of fact about the boat and was too lazy to find out the correct answers. It was his listing but because he lived three hours away from the listing, he had no interest in meeting me so that I could inspect the boat. After a dozen calls (many unreturned), he found another salesman to show the boat. The second guy seemed hard working and helpful but ultimateley he was unable to convince the brokerage's owner that the boat's owner should be made aware of a bona fide purchase offer. I have owned three large boats over the past 40 years and have never encountered such behavior from a broker. I have also talked to several other brokers who tell me that Knot 10's actions are unethical and that my offer was very reasonable. Avoid these people at all costs. If their business were regulated by the State of Maryland in a meaningful way, I would be filing a complaint.
