The water was crystal clear on the day we went but I read it could be murky after the rain. It's much bigger than Ponce de Leon which is about 8 minute drive from there so you can even kayak or paddle board. I would highly recommend if you're visiting Panama City area if you need a slight change of scenery.

I just had my first interaction with this shop and did a dry-suit and JJ-Closed Circuit Rebreather course through them. Chris Ball (Owner) is hands down the best scuba instructor I've come across in 26 years of diving. His shop has everything from intro scuba / snorkel gear to advanced technical diving supplies including Oxygen & TRIMIX fills. He's passionate about the fun of diving while maintaining a "one-stop" dive shop, and has managed to figure out how to instruct on any level with both empathy and professionalism. Since I had already paid the full $900 upfront, he agreed. About two months later, I contacted him to schedule the remaining training days, but I started receiving multiple excuses and delays. I even offered to pay an additional $150 to accommodate the situation, but in the end, I was told I would need to pay another instructor $600 extra to complete the final two days because Edd no longer wanted to honor his original agreement. I understand unexpected situations can happen, but I was disappointed by the lack of follow-through and professionalism after paying in full and relying on the promise that was made.

Hubby (already certified) & I went in just to inquire about classes, I was extremely concerned about the swimming test because I'm not a very good/confident swimmer. After talking with Todd, we decided I should try a swim lesson in their on site pool with Kada. Within an hour I was confident enough to sign up for my e-learning & set a class date. I won't lie when say I was extremely nervous about the whole thing. Day 1 was in the pool (our class size was 6) & what an amazing pair of instructors we had! Josh & Kada truly made the whole process confidence building while assuring skills are achieved & well practiced. Day 2 was out at Morrison Springs working on newly acquired skills. Day 3 was supposed to be a boat dive however weather conditions were not good so we went back to Morrison Springs to finish up our open water certification. Honestly, I don't think I've ever had better instructors when learning a new skill before, Josh & Kada absolutely made the whole experience wonderful.
