Since we flew in, we didn't have space to bring much equipment, so I called a few times asking questions about di#erent things. Every time I called, I spoke to someone new and they were all very nice and knowledgeable. The day of diving went very smooth from check-in to loading everything on the boat. You check into the shop and then drive across the street to the dock to drop off your equipment and park. Ben, the mate was helpful, funny, and knew right where to put us on the boat and who to pair us with. We did a reef dive for the first one and it was full of fish and different coral. The second dive was a wreck and really cool. We got to see the goliath grouper that stays in the wheelhouse and tons of different fish. The visibility was very good at both places. Nancy, the captain, was excellent. She knew so much about the area and the different dive sites and knew right where to drop the anchor and then the divers. We couldn't have asked for a better trip.

He made sure we would be confident in any scuba situation. It was a very personalized experience and I would definitely get any future scuba certifications with Elite Dive Company. He was friendly and gave direct and honest feedback, avoiding any fluff. For my particular charter, we had a group (of 3) cancel so it was only myself and another diver. I really appreciate him keeping the charter that day, as I know it can be challenging both financially and logistically. It was the first charter of the year, so he kicked it off with a good omen and was able to take us to two great locations. Both Capt Dan and Instructor Gary were there to help in any way you really needed, especially handing me my lionfish gear. I've been to many places and can say I certainly made the correct decision in booking with Off Duty Dive Charters. When I come back to Destin, I will absolutely be booking with Capt Dan again! PS - The Off Duty Dive Charter long sleeve sun shirts are awesome. Thanks you, Capt Dan!

Daniel is a relaxed, playful, well-spoken guide who's PERFECT for new divers. I wish they were all such good communicators. 2. He went above and beyond planning our dive -- when he thought that the initial location would be murky due to rain the previous night, he paid to get us into a nearby private lake that was crystal clear (my favorite freshwater dive so far). He also sent me detailed directions to get from our rental condo to the dive spot. When we got there, the equipment was well maintained, and I even learned a little trick for keeping my weights from sliding around! 3. The price is right. I don't pay more than $150 per person for a one or two-tank excursion, and I was able to give Daniel a tip (which he deserved) and stay under budget.

We go diving (we're locals) there weekly and we've had issues with people taking our food while we're under water (bags of chips). But if it's not during peak-season, and you're looking for a place to dive... this is fantastic. Much more clear than Vortex (too much algae in the water there... one person bounces off the bottom and vis goes to shit). Much more forgiving at Morrison. For those of us who have a spiritual worldview, we believe in another realm…read more And the Bible speaks of a spiritual realm. The Bible teaches that humans were created by God in His image, which means we have a spiritual component. We are more than physical entities; we possess a soul/spirit destined for eternity. Even though the spiritual realm is invisible to the physical eye, we are connected to it, and what goes on in the spiritual realm directly affects our physical world. And that's what being underwater brings to mind for me, a realm that you can't see unless you go there, and when you do, it is supernatural and extraordinary. And Dive 30A is the best way to get there - underwater! Opened in 2020 by my friend, Walt Hartley, it's the place to begin your underwater adventure whether it's lessons, or a guided outing, or great gear. I will never skimp on my diving gear, and you shouldn't either. Walt is an extremely safe, experienced, well-trained diver, and I'm going with nobody but him as I explore the underwater realm. It's as close as you get to the spiritual realm in your human experience, and the experience will make you say amen.
