Señor Tacos came up when we were searching for tacos near us for Cinco de Mayo, and the great reviews convinced us to give it a try. The reviews were right. It was definitely busy, and the space inside is on the smaller side with limited seating, but we still managed to get a table almost immediately. There were constantly people coming in and out picking up orders, which honestly felt like a very good sign from the start. We shared the choriqueso and got tacos de birria for dinner, plus an assortment of desserts because we couldn't resist trying a little bit of everything. Every single thing we ordered was delicious. What stood out just as much as the food was how kind the staff was. Even with how packed and hectic the night was, everyone stayed friendly and welcoming. Definitely a spot we'll be coming back to. read more

Delicious tacos with a LOT of toppings. Loved their quesadilla too, it had the perfect balance of chicken and cheese with some veggies. My favorite was their salsa verde sauce. Decor inside is fun and colorful. We got take out on a weekday evening, but there was plenty of open seating and space for dining in. read more

The steak burrito was good. The steak along with all the other ingredients were cooked very well. However, it lacked a bit of seasoning and flavor. The green sauce on the side was delicious and helped add flavor to the burrito but i wish the ingredients inside like the meat and beans were marinated or more seasoned. The burrito itself was a bit loosely packed and not very filling, but overall, it was still enjoyable. I stopped by inside to pick up my order and the restaurant was beautiful and had a nice amount of indoor seating. There were 2 tables and seats outside the restaurant to casually sit and eat. read more

Wow! The Burrito Loco is the best burrito I've ever had. Incredible mix of ingredients inside and the cheese skirt on the outside intakes it to a new level. My wife got the Tacos Campechanos and they were also great; loaded with meat and guac. We ate in the restaurant and enjoyed the experience. This is my new local spot for Mexican food. read more

Wow had no idea this place is also a brick n mortar! I was lucky enough to catch the truck posted at Readington Brewery and what a treat! As per my previous reviews, my pet peeve is breweries without real food. So I was amped to see the extensive menu at the food truck. And, as per my previous reviews, my other pet peeve is authentic tacos, I was equally amped to see an array of offerings beyond tacos. We ordered chorrisqueso, beef empanadas, pork tacos, and asada quesadillas. Everything was cooked fresh to order within 15 minutes and it was some of the best food I've had in years. I'm legit giddy that there's an actual restaurant I can go to in order to get my fix. The folks staffing the truck were so warm and friendly. Good vibes all around! read more

I am Mexican, and this is the only restaurant I truly enjoy coming back to. The flavors are authentic, the food tastes like home, and you can tell everything is made with care and respect for real Mexican cooking. From the seasoning to the freshness of the ingredients, every dish is consistently delicious. The truck was at the Paramus Food Truck Festival over the weekend. Got 3 tacos, Asada, Adobada, and Chicken. They ran out of Carnita, so we got Chicken instead. Chicken was OK but plain. Asada was good. Adobada was the best! Will have to go to the brick and mortar location soon! read more

My husband and I ordered the beef and chicken empanadas to split, chips and guac, chicken burrito california, birria tacos with a side of mexican rice and refried beans, and the churros with nutella. Senor Tacos is now our go-to for Mexican delivery after this order! The sauce that comes with the empanadas was so good, that I used the remainder to go with my birria tacos. The birria meat was tender, mexican rice was tasty, and even though I received black beans instead of refried beans, the black beans were still good. Submitted a job application in the area and wanted lunch afterwards. We were in the mood for tacos and this place popped up and was only a quarter mile or so from where we were at. The tacos are the best I've had in a very long time! The place is very clean, including the restroom. The service was awesome! They made us feel like we were their regular number one customers. The Birria tacos were very good. The shredded beef was lean and savory. Added squeeze of lime to each taco and dipped in the broth provided... so good! The veggie tacos were tasty, but could have had more variety of veggies in them. They had mostly poblano peppers, plenty of onions- cooked and raw, roasted corn. Chicken tinga empanada dry, but the dipping sauce provided with it was very good and greatly helped not to be dry. Will definitely try Senor Tacos again but it will be hard not to get those awesome Birria tacos again. I recommend this place. read more

Went to the Hunterdon County 4H fair and they had a truck there. Ordered three beef tacos which were tiny little things. When I got them they were dry and rubbery. I took the tacos back to the truck and told them I did not want them because they were dry and chewy and disgusting. The woman in the truck said F*** You to me and took the tacos back without an apology or offer to give me a new order. read more

I was looking for a place to meet up with some friends and we picked Señor Tacos because it was roughly equidistant between our locations. I am so glad we did! The guacamole was probably the best guacamole I've ever had. I had shrimp tacos, which were light and delicious with a little cabbage and carrot. My friends both loved their dishes as well. Cute little restaurant with authentic Mexican food. We ordered the guac to start and it was fresh and delicious. I got the birria tacos which were very tasty. My mom ordered carne asada which she also enjoyed. She had left overs and wanted to enjoy them for lunch the next day so she asked for a side of tortillas to go. My only complaint is that they charged us $6 for 3 corn tortillas and they charge you a fee if you pay by credit card regardless of how much you spend. This place is amazing! I had to snag a quick shot midway through my meal because I usually devour everything so quickly. We've gotten so many different items at this point and everything is always great. Burritos, quesadillas, empanadas, and dessert. The big difference with this restaurant and others is how fresh everything is. I think they make their tortillas in house. Staff is very nice and accommodating. To that end, if you have a problem with either Dan or his staff, I would have to say that the problem is most likely with you. They couldn't be nicer, more courteous and helpful. Using Google, to locate any nearby local eats, they had no information on this unique food truck and their offerings. I'm glad I was able to find this food truck from the directions in the Yelp! app, that used Open Maps. Waze had no directions on this food truck either! I tried their Philly Cheese Steak, with Cheddar Cheese, and it was delicious! A Jersey Pickle was in the box and it had the perfect finish and taste to complement my sandwich. I met the owners, Patty and Cindi, and complemented them on their comfort food start-up business! I'll be back, if and when I'm in the neighborhood!
