SDSU BOOKSTORE @ SDSU As a student here, i've purchased numerous of things! My parents absolutely love the mom, dad, and family merch they have provided. Great quality and always a large selection. The bookstore has two floors, the first being all the electronics, clothes, makeup, etc, as the second floor has the books and textbooks (mostly for the students). The service is run by mostly students which they are friendly and easy to spot if you need any help. I really enjoy this place for a spot to hang around during gap times between my classes, always something new here. The value is decent, can be pricier side since it's school merch, but i the quality is great and it's worth it! read more

Pricey ($30+) tees but cute designs and fast delivery. Ordered Monday afternoon. Tees were at my front door when I got home Wednesday evening. They offer holiday shipping discounts during Black Friday weekend. I like that they don't send or email you anything other than your order. i was accused of stealing here a few months ago. i definitely did not steal-- i have no reason to especially as an upperclassman-- yet the workers went about it in such a demeaning way; i was followed and essentially interrogated in front of a crowd of students during a meal rush. it was not a pleasant or even a reasonable interaction and i wish they took a different, perhaps a more private approach. in addition to checking the cameras, please consider consulting the cashiers/register clerks as well as checking approved transactions in the system before singling a person out. i love this school and i'm blessed to be receiving my degree from this institution but this experience was once of the worst i've had in all my time as a student; i left the interaction in tears and could not even make it to my next class. read more

It's the SDSU bookstore! Even if you don't go to school here, it's pretty cool to just walk around campus and get some Aztec gear. The women section has pretty legit clothes although it is pretty pricey. There's tiny little accessories that are pretty cool and of course most of them are for the students parents so it makes sense. The selection of hats has fallen off a little. I got a nice new era SD hat about 2 years ago and today I couldn't find another one like it. My wife is a lifetime alumni member and it was awesome to get 20% off!!! What!!??? We got a license plate holder, coffee mugs, window stickers, an under armor hat and some random accessories and they are dope! Some look like they fall apart after a month or so but they're still pretty cool. I did want to get a golf shirt but $60 for a shirt???!! No way - no how! You can also just buy books, like official textbooks and workbooks so basically what I'm saying is you can get your own education, you just won't get any credit for it. You can also maybe meet some people there and join a study group.... I'm kidding that's a real creeper move,but I've met some people who still want to feel young that have actually done that. Weird right? It's centrally located to the campus so it's easy to walk around and find. Very cool store. read more

The SDSU Bookstore is the oficial campus store where you can find all your SDSU merchandise from clothing, shool supplies, Hydrflasks, snacks and more. While visiting came in to see what they had to offer. Found a nice thick sweatshirt with SDSU lattering on it. Also fond a mom t-shirt to show my spirit as a proud mom of a SDSU student. It was nice that they had a wide range of sizes and not just your smaller and average one. Pickied out my sweatshirt and t-shirt and this was one happy momma. They also had Hydroflasks in a beautiful deep red that was calling my name, but it had to syat because i already have too many, lol. This store is really big, it has 2 floors of merchandise. We didnt even get to the top floor, we found what we were looking for on the first floor. They also offer souviners for family members and friends to show their support. read more

Overall great place to find your books and supplies. The lines do get pretty long especially at the beginning of each new semester, but they have so many registers open so you don't wait too long to get checked out. I would recommend coming either before the semester starts or a week after the semester starts to get your books and supplies. The employees that work here are mostly students and they are always nice. Prices can be a bit high for supplies, but that's just the extra price you pay for the convenience of having supplies readily available on campus. read more

The bookstore located in the middle of campus is a good walk from pretty much anywhere you enter on campus grounds. Oh the college life. Where you walk from class to class or (not me) skate board. Going in the middle of the week during the day with my grandson. I saw a lot of college kid's on skateboards. Being in Southern California, it just feels right. The reason for my visit to SDSU was to buy my grandson some Aztec gear. The last few years there has been a resurgence in their football program and with no Chargers in San Diego. The only football, besides high school football, in town. So I was looking for a football jersey for him and maybe another hat for myself. Upon getting there. I found all the Aztecs gear a fan could want. The store had it all. From baseball hats, to shirts, to sweats and jerseys; and in all the sizes too. So much variety that you can't find anywhere else. If they don't have it there then they just don't make it. I ended up buying a hat and football jersey for my grandson and another hat for myself. Everything fit perfectly. The store staff I came in contact with were friendly and helpful. They helped me find exactly what I was looking for. Overall, a great experience. Found everything I was looking for. Everyone I came in contact with at the store was nice and helpful. Great selection. It's a good walk into campus but well worth the trip. If your looking for SDSU gear this is the place to buy it. According to the SDSU Bookstore website, "Aztec Shops' retail operations is the SDSU Bookstore which is one of the largest sales volume campus bookstores in the country. The 25,000-square-foot facility - located in the heart of campus - carries every text (required and optional) for every class taught at SDSU." You can either buy or rent the books. Aztec Shops is also the exclusive licensee for the San Diego State University logo and related images and the bookstore features the most extensive selection of SDSU-imprinted clothing and gifts available. There are rows and rows of SDSU merchandise-divided into a woman's and men's section. The school-imprinted hoodies and sweat pants ain't cheap but seem to be of very good quality. My daughter told me to look for something cute with the SDSU logo on it, and they had quite a good supply of nice clothing. The store also houses the Computer & Electronics Department, a full-service computer hardware and software department. They even have their own computer/laptop repair shop here. A large selection of school supplies, cards, gifts and even best-selling fiction and non-fiction popular books round out the store's offerings. There seemed to be plenty of cashiers who seem friendly and accommodating but very few sales staff on the floor to ask questions. Some of the clothing aisles were packed pretty full and difficult to maneuver around and through. There were little to none clearance items that I could find. For these just mentioned reasons, I had to deduct 1 YELP STAR. Forget about parking anywhere close by either. I knew enough just to go down and park by Viejas Arena and followed the bike path towards the Aztec Center. Since my daughter is an alumni of this college and the nicest boss I ever worked for in all the crappy jobs I ever have had-Ms. Sarah Felix (from May Co.)-is the merchandise manager here at the Bookstore, I just have to say this is a pretty good bookstore. read more

DON'T BUY THE CALENDAR! It's too expensive and not worth the money. Office Depot, Target, Staples. Any of those are better options for nicer calendars and other office supplies. The rest of the SDSU memorabilia and apparel is also overpriced, even for a university store. Buyback is a total joke. They sent me an email with a list and prices they'll pay me for selling back my books. For nearly every book, that is approximately 10% return (I spent $13, I get back $1.50). 30% or above is the average at all other CSU campuses and California community colleges. Ten percent is an insult and only covers the tax you paid originally. The bookstore deserves a lot less stars due to the disservice it is providing to students who can barely afford an education, however, it has one because the customer service is not too bad. read more

One of the nicest bookstores I've visited, and I've been to a few in my lifetime. The layout is easy to navigate with an extensive collection of sweatshirts, snowboarding jackets, green-friendly notebooks, gadgets, earrings, beer mugs and BOOKS! I try to stop in before football season to pick up the latest shipments and always luck out. Lines aren't bad and the cashiers are usually in good spirits. read more

This used to be a book store, but SDSU apparel has taken over the downstairs portion of the store, so it is now mainly a clothing store. How many different styles of T-Shirts, Hoodies, Sweatshirts are really needed? Ten, fifteen years ago they had a great selection of books and some awesome book sales. Compared to the book stores at UCLA and UCSD, this is pretty sorry for a campus the size of SDSU. As for pens, pencils, markers, calendars, notebooks etc. the selection is ok, but the prices are higher than stores like Office Depot. read more

Overpriced books, supplies, and SDSU apparel. For books just stick to Amazon or Craigslist because it is much cheaper. Even with the rent option sometimes they offer such a limited quantity that they run out within a day. For supplies, just go to Walmart or Target instead. And for apparel just go to the Nike outlets in Las Americas or order it online. Yes, they have a great selection of gear. There's anything from Hello Kitty SDSU gear to freaking shirts for your dog but everything is just overpriced in my opinion. The line can sometimes be long so if you're going in for just a Scantron then try the Aztec Market instead since the line tends to move faster there. PS. I hate that there's no longer a Mac (cosmetics) counter! That's where I would go to waste time (& money) during my breaks. That has now been replaced with a Bare Essentials area which is nice but I mean it doesn't quite measure up to Mac. I used to love getting the new collections without fear that they were going to sell out. read more

I understand that SDSU is very useful when it comes to providing on campus jobs for students. Unfortunately, I am not sure how experienced these students are when it comes to customer service. I came to the bookstore at 3:10pm today to refill my ink. The gentleman, who I will call "K", told me to come back in 10-15 minutes. I arrived at 3:35pm and a different employee approached me and asked what he could do for me. I told him I was there to pick up ink. K overheard and said, "Yeah, I got busy so it will be about another 10-15 minutes. Do you have class?" I told him I did and he said, "Okay, well it will be 2 or 3 minutes". Then, the obnoxious manager, or so he looked, said, "Are you waiting for something?" He said he would check on the ink and I told him it wasn't going to be ready quite yet. He said, "Well, we can't give you the exact time it will be ready". I didn't say that K had given me an exact time because I didn't want to get him in trouble, so I kept my mouth shut. I got my ink, and walked out. Two minutes later I'm sitting at a table and realize I had magenta liquid on my personal items. I was heated, walked back in with the manilla folder that held my ink and presented the issue to someone that worked there. He approached the manger-looking guy from before (dressed in black) and said, "Do you know why this is happening? He said, "Yeah, the machine puts more in there than it can hold". I said, "Well that would be nice to share with your customers because it just got all over my personal items. With his back turned, he said, "Well it happens rarely". Not a great location for this manager to work. Bad attitude and bad vibe on an already stressful campus! read more

The SDSU bookstore is just okay. You can read other reviews of their prices, which are atrocious, especially for SDSU clothing. They are evil personified about their return/refund/re-stock policy. They always advertise on their website the price of used books but when you get there, they don't have any, just new, so you end up spending twice what you expected. They don't have any terminals for checking prices like UCSD (that I could find anyway) so you have to go to the library. Their employees also never know if you are buying the right set of books so if you buy the wrong set (think of extras like Connect attached to the text) you are SOL. You have to pay the re-stocking fee, which is a lot. Overall, the SDSU bookstore sucks. You can get better terms and better prices at KB. read more

Books - I don't always get my books here. I usually shop elsewhere online (i.e. Amazon) or even check KB Books. But if you're looking to rent, the Bookstore has a good rental program from what I hear. Clothes - Now if you go to SDSU, obviously you're going to need some State gear either to lounge around or wear to games. There's actually a good selection to choose from. If you're not in a hurry, wait until the bookstore is having one of its sales (i.e. 20% off all SDSU apparel/items) and you can save some money. read more

Unfortunately this really isn't a campus "bookstore" more like a novelty center for the SDSU Aztecs. So if you need a sweatshirt or shirt to let the world know you are an Aztec you can come here! (Which isn't bad at all) but... If you really need to find your class books I recommended using online because you an buy used or even sell your already used text books. If you do need help finding something the associates here are not very friendly unfortunately this "bookstore" reminds me of something you would find in a run down mall. read more

Just another overpriced school bookstore. Unlike the community college bookstores their website does not let you look at the isbn of the books online. This means you have to actually walk in there and take them to compare prices. However there is a loophole if you go on their book renting service. Beware of the long lines that wrap around the store at the start of a semester. read more

Oh, how I DON'T miss the days of getting my classes then getting my books for all those classes. I don't miss rifling through the used books to try and pick out the one with the least highlighter marks in them. I do, however, miss the school supplies and Aztec gear. The tent sales were the best! I got this cute Jansport brand SDSU backpack for like $18 one year. Score! And I still have it too! Because I love office supplies so much, I had applied to work here. Sadly, I never got to work here. Instead, I worked a semester at Monty's Market (bleh!). Thank you SDSU Bookstore for the memories. Lines move quickly and everything is as overpriced as you would expect. Always some sort of student tshirt for $10. The rest is ridiculous. We'll all end up buying every family member some $30 tshirt for Christmas regardless. Get your textbooks and wait in line downstairs. The line could be a mile long and it would still be faster than the 3 registers upstairs. I just found out that they have a price matching policy after wasting my money there for two years! It's a poorly advertised feature since it would screw over the bookstore but it does exist and it's wonderful. Bring in an advertised price from the Amazon marketplace and they'll match it. They tried selling a book for $125 and I ended up getting it for $75 with proof from Amazon. + 4 stars for a great price matching system - 2 stars for keeping us in the dark and marking up the price of my book by $50 over retail price read more

Called the store asking about prices for Microsoft office. Told me they had 2011 for 14.99. I drive all the way to campus and tell them what I want. The guy informs me that this is only offered to faculty and staff, students have to pay 150! What a waste of time. Why do I have to pay 10 times more? read more

They have a great selection of SDSU merchandise ,from pens to different types of clothing. Place gets real busy at the beginning of the semester and at the end, but they open up more cashier stations so the lines move fairly quickly. The school supplies are overpriced, supply and demand. read more

Pricey to get things that say SDSU, come on make it more affordable

They have a "no return" period that starts 5 days after classes start and lasts until the next semester. Doesn't matter if you need that book for your class or if they incorrectly listed the book on ebooks for you. Even if the book is still wrapped, you can't return it. There goes $200(on one book) I could've used for food,rent, tuition, etc. I'm never buying a book on campus again. It's a shady businesses that doesn't deserve your hard earned money. Just wait until the first day of classes and buy the books you actually need online. Paying for rush delivery is cheaper than buying a bunch of textbooks that you'll never use. read more

If you are watching your budget, don't buy your books here! Each book is always $3-10 more expensive than Amazon.com. Also, their Campus EZ books lets you order a used book online but they usually run out and you are forced to pay for a new book once you are at the store. They should know their stock of each book - if you have 50 used copies then don't tell 200 students they can select the used copy. I ended up paying $50 extra on ONE book. This has happened every single term for me. It makes the all-over experience negative. I recommend trying anywhere else but the SDSU bookstore. Or at least don't pre-order your books - that way you know what you are paying up front - when you find your book on the shelf. The service was fairly fast, which I appreciate. But talk about wasting cardboard on hundreds (maybe thousands) of cardboard boxes containing student's pre-ordered books neatly packaged (doesn't matter if you order 1 book or 20 - everyone gets a heavy-duty, over-sized box). How about having boxes upon request at checkout... There has got to be a better way... I guess I just all around expected more from the University. read more

I bought a slightly wrong version of a book I needed (to be fair, one of their employees showed me to the wrong book). But I had ripped the package off, used the access code and everything before I realized AH WRONG BOOK. Todd gave me a 100% return and apologized for the hassle. read more
