This company contacted me was Hockey Maid- scheduling is terrible. I initially requested for a…read moreSunday at 1pm for a move out clean. I got a confirmation email immediately to confirm it was ok. I even called to confirm the date and the receptionist Lito said it was ok. Then a couple days later I got another confirmation that said they don't work Sundays and they have rescheduled me to Saturday at 9am. I said- no that's not going to work as I had movers at that time. Can you come Saturday at 1pm instead. They said ok- and I got a confirmation email. The week prior to the cleaning- on Wednesday I got a confirmation call from Lito- for my cleaning appointment at SUNDAY for 1PM (???) I was confused and he mentioned it as a mistake as he forgot to remove it from the schedule and confirmed the cleaners will be coming on Saturday at 1pm. On the actually date- I got a call at 11:30am from Lito saying that one of the cleaners got sick and it was a husband and wife team- and the wife couldn't drive. and if we can reschedule. I was quite upset as i had renters moving in Sunday at 6pm but agreed for them to come Sunday at 10am. Sunday morning came around and at 8:45am I received a call from a lady (the cleaner) saying how they were double booked for the 10am and was wondering if I can reschedule!?!?!? I was really upset by then- but she said they don't usually work on Sundays and asked if 1pm was ok and asked if its ok to have 3 people come instead of 2. I said sure but I am not paying for the addition person as I only requested 2 people and now they have rescheduled with me 4 times! I was quite nervous and upset as to if they were going to even show and the quality of their work. Then at 12:35pm while I was on my way to the house- the lady called to say they were in front of my house but I was not home and if I can reschedule to 1:30pm instead. I was really pissed by now- as my appointment with them was not till 1pm. Also I had plans for another appointment at 1:30pm. Not my fault you were early to begin with. You should wait. They were 25mins early. Not my fault. I was 10 mins away- so I asked if they can just wait and I will be there in 10 mins to let them in, She said ok and hung up. When I got there- there was no one there- I called her back and she said they were not close and would be another 16mins. Ended up arriving at 1:30pm. By this time I was really upset- concerned that they were going to do a terrible job. Told them what I needed to be cleaned and said I will come back at 4:15pm to inspect the work. I came back at 4:25pm and they were just wrapping up. The cleaning job was better than expected as I was expecting the worst- but they missed a couple of spots and was careless in the last 10 mins of cleaning. Quality of work would be a 7 out of 10 (10 being the highest) However the worst part of the whole story is there was a brand new bottle of Bath and Body works foaming hand soap in the washroom I had left for my renters as a gift- ended up being no where to be found. I called the manager of the company to complain and he was quite courteous and said he would investigate and get to the bottom of the matter and offered me a free cleaning for my new house. But to be honest I am quite skeptical of using them again as not only do I have to worry about quality but I also now have to be concerned about my personal valuables being possibly missing. So thanks but No thanks. Will not recommend this company.
