This business is a scam. I sent money to book a session and no one called and I can't get a hold of anyone.

This review is for the DMS program. I went to the Manhattan campus 9-3PM, and had Dr. Ayub as my…read moreinstructor. If you are reading this, you are most likely debating on which school to attend. I implore you to read my review in its entirety; I believe I'll make some really good points and convince you to consider this school. Your goal should be attending an accredited school that will give you the paperwork (certificate) you need in order to take the registry exam, and that is it. It's not about "the best of the best" school, or the one with the top accreditation. All you should be caring about is the school that is going to get you to the point that matters, which is the registry exam, and a school that will provide appropriate clinical rotations. Look no further, this school has everything (except good machines, more on that later). Firstly, Dr. Nand is the president and owner of this establishment. He maintains the Council on Occupational Education, which is an accreditation accepted by the ARDMS. He also has plentiful connections with almost all hospitals, and can get you into the really good hospitals for your clinical rotations (i.e. NY-Pres Columbia). He's also the SWEETEST man alive, and is genuine for your well being. He is there to help, he wants you to do well. Other schools have accreditation in CAAHEP, which is a well known accreditation. But be warned, schools with this type of accreditation have tuition fees of $65K+. Can you afford that? I chose NYMedCareerTrainingCntr for many reason, and it was the cost of the school that was the most appealing, to be honest. When I attended, the full program cost me $29K. This fee may increase due to economy-related issues and rent/insurance costs, etc. But that is a big plus. They also have payment plans. Tuition includes your uniform, and textbooks. Did you hear me?? TUITION INCLUDES YOUR UNIFORM AND TEXTBOOKS!! All other schools make you pay for your textbooks separate (and the uniform as well), and these books are $200 each. You are saving A LOT of money. Please note, you will have to pay your tuition in full before you start your clinical rotations. --Edit: I apparently ran out of space because I rambled. If anyone has a question regarding this school, I'm more than happy to share my experience. just message me-- I'll continue my review but make it ultra condensed since there is a word limit here. Now, a BIG plus... when you finally get to clinicals and have keep to a log of what you scanned, all you have to do it write the date, time, and a one-word description on the type of scans you did. THAT'S IT! Many other schools will force you to write a full description of each patient you see and/or need proof of this. Many school will require you to scan a certain amount of arteries/veins in order to graduate. You might think that's actually a good thing. No it's not. Because in the real world, when you start your clinicals, you may not get to see patients for arteries/veins. You may not get to see liver transplants. It depends on your site. You want the school to delay your graduation because you didn't see enough echo, head, or TCD? Complete your sheet, send them it, call it a day. I wish the school clarified how to have your CV signed, which is paperwork required to take the ARDMS. If you want to take your registry in vascular, you'll have to have a tech licensed in RVT to sign your CV... so this means, don't pick a clinical site that focuses on pediatric if your goal is to get an RVT because the likelihood of the technicians there that have and RVT are slim, and you will not be able to take your RVT registry due to the missing signature for a licensed tech... so be mindful of the sites you choose. Some negatives with this school: Machines are garbage, and there was a lot of cheating going on with no repercussion for these students. I was outraged by this. Sangay, the man responsible for finding you a clinical site, moves at the pace of snails. So you'll have to stay on top of him. There is no echo in this school :( And yes, I graduated this great school, was prepared enough to earn my ARDMS in abdomen, and I now work in a hospital. Dr. Ayub, if you're reading this, YOU ARE THE BEST!!! I'll always remember you! Wishing you and Dr. Nand, the best of health.

As a current student, I feel it's important to share some concerns about the way this school treats…read moreits students. Recently, we received an email stating that students are not permitted to enter classrooms before the scheduled class time so that instructors can "prepare the learning environment." However, in reality, many professors arrive exactly at the start time or even after class is supposed to begin. Meanwhile, students are expected to stand in hallways or find somewhere else to go even when we arrive early after work to study. The only alternative spaces are the library or cafeteria, both of which have very limited seating. It feels unreasonable to pay out of pocket for an education and not even be allowed to sit in an empty classroom while waiting. We then received another email about elevator use, which is understandable for accessibility reasons. However, the message stated that misuse could result in parent/guardian contact. This is a school of adults, and many of us are parents ourselves. Including language like that clearly shows how little the administration thinks of its students and reinforces the feeling that we are treated like children rather than responsible adults paying for a professional education. Another major concern is the lack of respect and support from some faculty members. For example, Professor Jayne Kier is extremely unapproachable. Students feel uncomfortable asking questions because responses are often sarcastic, dismissive, or met with long, intimidating stares. There is little guidance provided, yet students are made to feel as though they are wrong for seeking help. This creates a stressful and discouraging learning environment. Lastly, it often feels like students cannot safely voice concerns. When issues are brought up to administration, they are dismissed as complaints rather than taken seriously even though many of us are committed, adult learners who care deeply about our education and future careers. It is incredibly disappointing to be treated this way as paying adult students. We invest our time, energy, and money into this program, yet we are treated as if we are receiving a free service and should simply accept it without question. The tone and treatment are not only disrespectful, they are humiliating.

He was clearly passionate about his field of study, as evidenced by his seemingly neverending ability to speak on the MANY topics in covered the CompTIA A+. They gave us their massive powerpoint presentation to keep, as well as some additional resources to help study, including an online self-paced video course made by TIA themselves. Those videos are helpful too. As someone who had no IT background besides some small things messing around with my computers, I found this course to be extremely helpful. I do not think the course alone is enough to prepare for the A+, but combined with proper study of the A+ textbook, it will be possible. I will likely be studying with them again for my next IT certification.

I trusted her and innocently told her that my husband and I wanted to find out the proper etiquette on a few things because we had some different understandings. After asking a few questions, Patricia gave me the look that my marriage was in trouble. She asked how long my husband and I have been together. And then with an evil smile on her face, she asked the class how long did everybody think my marriage would last. The class didn't respond and she repeated her question. I believe the class either didn't hear the question or thought that was inappropriate and ignored her again. In the class in front of everybody, she told a man that he was overweight and he needed to lose weight. She called that her advice to him. After the class, a woman politely invited the class to take a group picture. Patricia was very reluctant to do that. She asked that woman, 'Didn't we do that over lunch already?' The class had lunch together after the first session. After we we finished dessert, Patricia took out her lipstick and mirror to apply at the dining table. That looked really weird. I haven't seen anybody doing that for a long time already. It is absolutely an unacceptable table manner.

Last weekend, I traveled to New York to attend Patricia Fitzpatrick's Finishing School for Adults…read moreprogram. There were eleven of us attending the class, with students from all around the country and diverse career backgrounds. This is a valuable program, evidenced by people traveling from afar to attend. Speaking from experience, Patricia has given me life-altering skills to practice on my own. Right after class, I told my husband that the important thing was not necessarily what I learned in class, but that I learned about how much I do not know. In the future, if I anticipate dealings within my social or business arena, I will research etiquette from where another person is from to see if my manners match theirs. If it leads to one contract, one sale, one friendship, or a positive memory, then the class and research would all be worth it! Indeed, the class teaches what to do in certain situations, but more importantly, how to respond when someone else is not exhibiting proper behavior in said situations. There were many 'common sense' discussions, however, many people (including myself) are not mindful of these approaches until there is a discussion about them. It really does boil down to treat others the way you would want to be treated. But I think the edge that Patricia's program has is to teach us that we need to learn how others' wants differ from our own. The class I took was a Saturday workshop, combining four sections into one day. There could have easily been four separate days. Every section was riveting. I felt the environment was conducive to the participation of the students, tying concepts to our own life experiences. We asked some great questions. Patricia is a fine adult educator and maintained her poise at all times, teaching by example. At lunch I realized that many of us all had the same fear prior to the class. I was sweating getting ready for class, thinking that my image would be criticized from my head to my toes. Patricia did not criticize. She explained things. She focused on positive attributes and how to accent them. Then she spoke about how to handle less appealing attributes and showed photos of before and after shots of people doing the same. She taught me a valuable lesson. Classy people never make others feel bad about themselves. Thank you, Patricia! Several of us have a greater amount of self confidence and comfort in our styles moving forward.
