Not a normal school environment.... And that's not for the better. Solely based off the interview…read moreprocess, I would NOT work there nor send my children there. They were more focused on disciplining marginalized children of color, rather than discussing the set curriculum and education expectations and goals. To make matters worse, they force you to act out a scenario DISCIPLINING a grade school child. You're not allowed to use terms such as "this is a warning" and "don't let it happen again". They automatically want you to aggressively scream at a child with the following verbiage "[child's name] STOP TALKING! CONSEQUENCE!" If a number of consequences (6) occur, the child automatically goes to detention and then placed on a "watch list" for behavioral monitoring. It leaves no window for kids to be kids, but white--washed robots. Also, the recruiters for some reason try to play a mind game with you regarding a short haiku, "to better understand your train of thought". Long story short, the answer is mouse... the mouse's perceptive . See poem below for your reference if you decide to interview there. All in all, doesn't come off as a great institution and it's alarming that this place actually exist. Also, the work hours are insanely long. 10 hours + a day at the school, plus an additional 1-2 hours working once you're "off". You're not allowed to take sick days since they have no subs to replace you. They also emphasize being able to learn and take FEEDBACK as a teacher. Meaning, senior leadership will insult you and demean you (sometimes in front of the students) and you're obligated to take it and just say "understood. Thank you for your feedback." The culture seems extremely sketchy. It comes off as a cult-like entity. The recruiter I spoke with mentioned they were once a teacher there, but transitioned to HR/ recruitment just after 2 years of being there. HUGE RED FLAG!!!! Let's you know that there's an issue with how things operate there. Here's a video as well that emphasizes the things mentioned above. https://vimeo.com/1155152034/b63b5a007f?fl=pl&fe=sh Here's the haiku, as promised. If Not for the Cat BY JACK PRELUTSKY If not for the cat, And the scarcity of cheese, I could be content. the answer is mouse... the mouse's perceptive

I graduated from fullstack academy's cyber bootcamp, and couldn't be a bigger cheerleader…read more First, their instructors are phenomenal. They are passionate not only about cyber, but passionate about educating as well. They care about the outcomes of their students. Next, their program leader, program manager, and career success manager are always working to ensure that the students have a positive experience, that they're given all the tools to succeed and get a job, and to implement student suggestions into the curriculum. My time at fullstack was part in-person and part remote. Covid hit in the middle of my cohort and Fullstack actually proactively transitioned to remote learning early on in the pandemic, which made me feel like they cared about my wellbeing. They pivoted quickly from their in-person education, and without missing a step, they were able to adjust the curriculum to support online learning. They made adjustments as the students made suggestions. Finally I GOT A JOB. During Covid. THANK YOU FULLSTACK!!!

Dishonest billing after withdrawal; ignored records request…read more I enrolled at Fullstack Academy and later withdrew. My student advisor confirmed in writing (via Slack DMs) that my final two payments would be canceled and not charged. Weeks later I received an email saying they planned to charge me anyway. They also deleted my student account and removed me from their Slack, which blocked me from accessing the very messages that confirm the cancellation. My request for a copy of those DMs was ignored. I immediately sent a formal revocation of payment authorization and notified my bank because these attempted charges could have overdrawn my account by $1,000+. Fullstack cited a "no refunds after 6 weeks" policy, but in my case they are using it as a loophole to demand money after telling me in writing I wouldn't be charged. This has caused significant stress and wasted hours of my time. I've filed complaints with the CFPB and the NY Attorney General. Policies aside, trustworthy schools honor their written commitments and provide students access to their records. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this program. If you're considering it, get everything in writing and be very cautious about autopay authorizations.

Their approach to Improv is a nice technique that is split up into six different ways to sharpen your skills with something as simple a 'Listening' and then 'Making your scene partner the most important person in the scene' the second tenant and then and only then can one invest in the 'Yes, And' concept. There's also a focus on Silence in each of the improv, which made me very curious because it would affect the speed or pacing of which a scene was progressing. Andy Schneeflock was a phenomenal teacher and always addressed each of our levels and questions with grace. I look forward to continuing my studies here as they provide a great service to stay sharp.

This is a testing center, keep em on silent! The lockers are fine. The AC is set to 71° and hand sanitizer is at all the desks. Pencils, paper, noise canceling isolation headphones are provided. The desks are small and if there are more than 4 ppl in a room, it'll feel like a can of sardines. Things felt a little grimy/dusty and FYI folks aren't wearing masks during the exams now. On my latest exam, there were network connectivity problems. 4 loading circles that cut into my time. 2 exam takers were even moved to a different room because of the network issues. 3 stars, erring on 2, because despite all this, I did successfully complete 2 exams on time.
