Where do I begin...? We took our otherwise healthy dog for wound care following a surgery over a weekend. Megan Roundy saw us and provided basic care, but more importantly, she took it upon herself to suggest that our dog might need to be put to sleep. Needless to say, he is doing much better and does not have cancer, which would've been obvious if she had looked at the medical records sitting in front of her that showed that he had had two biopsies on the skin area in the last six months, both of which show the same thing that the biopsy she ordered after emotionally manipulating us. I wonder, is bringing up compassionate, euthanasia something you do with a dog you have no reason to believe is terminally ill? Or is it a way to increase the tests ordered and the amount of the final bill? My vet agreed.as my dog wags his tail and wants to go outside to play. There will come a time when that discussion is appropriate, but I can assure you, it was not when my dog had a skin infection. What kind of heartless monster is she? Even if my dog had cancer, I think there'd still be some options... I couldn't tell people not to go there enough. Wait until your vet opens on Monday morning. She should be reprimanded if not removed from their staff. She seems a legal liability.
Roundy also said they would clean his infection-covered bloody Elizabethan collar, which they did not. They were able to clean his wounds and reattach the existing dirty collar, but apparently forgot to replace it before bringing him back from sedation. When I asked and called them on this, they lied and said that they weren't able to. Now, tell me, you were able to clean his wounds, but not replace a collar? Sounds like somebody was lazy, or worse, willfully negligent. So they send him home, with open wounds and a dirty collar he wound continue to press into it. Yikes! Luckily, my vet prescribed antibiotics and steroids, which fixed him right up. read more
