Very lovely space full of light on the water, west of downtown Burlington. Minimalist with few tables, a couple of nice long high tops, and 2 comfortable chairs. The almond croissant was super good, but the yogurt and muesli wasn't to my taste at all - super sour yogurt, dry dusty muesli with no crunch and no sweetness and the honey at the counter was too dried up to pour at all. My date didn't really eat his breakfast either. The coffees were ok, better than diner coffee for sure, but not excellent, I sort of hoped for a pour over option at a specialty cafe of this style but no go. Truly a lovely space to spend some time, have a meeting, get some work done, soak in the sun, but at a 30 min walk from the kind of central area where I usually end up in Burlington I'm not sure I'd head back. read more

The staff, coffee, hot chocolate, pastries and environment are exceptional. My wife, son (10 weeks old), & I go here often to get work done. I have also met up with many new moms and friends and they have been very sweet and a breastfeeding friendly space. The feel of the physical space is great with local art on the walls and there is indoor or outdoor tables to work or meet at. They even host cool events like an open mic for Loving Day. The only thing I have found hit or miss has been the ice cream and soda flavors. read more

Short version: Fantastic. Long version: I used it several times as a place to get away and get some work done. They were completely great as far as service goes. Coffee is great too. They mentioned the coffee brand I believe they said Blue Bottle, really quality stuff. Whoever mentioned the music in their post - now it is turned down. Food-wise it's also good, I actually buy the pastries! Most coffee shops' - and I've been to literally dozens Washington DC Boston NYC etc - are just side things they offer to try and increase revenue - turns a 2 dollar coffee into a 6 dollar meal type thing. Delicious coffee and I love that they make tasty/simple fresh made waffles. Such a nice touch and a welcome break away from the standard coffee shop muffin or scone. I work from home so it's clutch when you can find a solid coffee place in Burlington with ample table space and good wifi (common in other cities but hard to come by here.) I wish they had more power outlets. The staff are friendly and low key and for later in the afternoon the tea list is to die for. I need to come back sometime to try the ice cream! read more

$3 hipster doughnuts. They're fine. But no doughnut is worth $3. I've had so much better for so much cheaper.

This is my favorite café in Burlington for several reasons. They serve incredible coffee, including a mix of favorites from major coffee centers and local Vermont roasters like Brio. Pastries are delicious, and they've added a small bite menu as well. Finally, they deliver a low key, comfortable atmosphere with friendly baristas and a well-lit room with adequate seating. read more

This is a coffee review only. Their prices are decent but not a great value by any means. The coffee is delicious and well-prepared. I think I confused the barista when I asked for a double cortado or something in between that and a double cappuccino. He explained to me that a cortado already has 2 shots of espresso and pretty much just seemed to shrug me off. I was severely unimpressed but was also asking for something off-menu/slightly unreasonable. They run a good business, just don't expect to be catered to. read more

Great space and coffee. The music is hit or miss. I hate jam bands and they play then for hours at a time sometimes. Overall it's very conducive to studying. I love the big tables and large windows. Plus scout has blue bottle coffee, which makes me homesick for Oaklands farmer markets (they started in Berkeley). So glad this place opened. read more

These guys are doing it right. How could you go wrong with a place that serves both coffee AND ice cream? Coffee fanatics will be pleased with their expansive menu : pour overs, aeropress, drip, all types of espresso beverages, etc. They recently began stocking a local tea company's offerings and typically have local treats (including top notch donuts from Miss Weinerz). The ice cream flavors are fairly off-the-wall, but you can sample them before you buy. Highly recommend any of there three locations! The one in the Innovation Center has a full food menu during normal business hours. read more

Stopped in briefly for a morning pick me on the way to Montreal. The shop is bright and spacious. Wonderful, patient staff encounter as my friend and I took our time making up our minds. We walked out with a delicious almond croissant, iced coffee and latte. The latte was a perfectly balanced medium roast with just a hint of nuttiness. The ice cream is awesome! The flavors are for the more adventurous, no basic vanilla or chocolate, but they do have vanilla oak and chocolate hay! I can't wait to see what next seasons flavors will be! Every time I've gone if the atmosphere and music have been pleasant, I haven't experienced what the other reviewers are complaining about. The staff is very friendly and eager to give samples! My only qualm is the serving size is too big! I only ever get a single scoop and he stuffs the cone with ice cream and pa another scoop on top so is more like 2 or even 3 scoops. Its just too much. I'm going to get the cereal milk lattes next time! I want to edit this to say that I've now tried their smoked sea salt maple creamee. It's pretty fantastic! I'd say best creamee around! I've been craving it since my last visit! read more

If all you want is a simple flavor - chocolate, vanilla, mint chip, etc. skip this place. Every flavor is a bizarre combo of unlikely bedfellows. I chose the most basic - vanilla & oak. It would have been enjoyable if it was creamy & rich, but it wasn't even that. read more

Nice owners, great staff, amazing coffee. There are two coffee shops in Burlington that serve elite level coffee. This is one of them. Tons of options for pourover and they bring in beans from fantastic roasters. Highly recommended. read more
