    Steak frites.
    Amy B.

The food here is delicious. It is a little on the salty side- so if you have salt sensitive hypertension you may want to mention that to your server. We had the steak frites, chicken, and chocolate cake. It was all yummy. My favorite was the steak. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Ambiance is fancy without being pretentious.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

I was so excited to try Scoundrel and decided to walk up right at 5 to see if I could snag a seat at the bar--and I'm so glad I did. The whole experience exceeded my expectations. I started with the broiled oysters (omg) and the osetra duck fat caviar bites, which I will genuinely be dreaming about for a long time. Every bite felt thoughtful and indulgent in the best way. They also have a fantastic wine selection. I had a Chenin Blanc that was completely out of this world and paired beautifully with everything. The bartenders were outstanding--knowledgeable, warm, and clearly passionate about what they're doing. It all came together to make this one of those meals you know you'll remember. [[HIGHLIGHT]]If you can grab a seat at the bar, do it. Absolutely worth it.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

I went with my boyfriend for his post birthday celebration when we got time off of work and although we did make a reservation - we waited quite a bit for our table. Food was spectacular - we also waited not that long for our entrees but because we waited they brought out a complimentary pasta dish. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Ambiance was great- although dress code was a bit confusing with some people in sport coats and others in jeans.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] My only complaint is wait time even with a reservation and the drinks were tiny for the price. Overall - would definitely go back. I don't mind a hefty bill if our bellies were full and service was spectacular!

For a Michelin star I was a little underwhelmed. We've been to a handful of Michelin star restaurants and the service has been over the top. Here, the service was not what I would expect. They forgot my drink for half of dinner, it took forever to get a glass of wine. The server would come at the most inopportune times, but then go missing for long periods. I absolutely love the beef tar tar table side presentation but [[HIGHLIGHT]]the restaurant is small, and the servers would bump into each other with the carts[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food was good, but not over the top. It was fine. I'd give it 3.5 stars.... But yelp doesn't allow for 1/2 stars.

Spectacular meal. The service was amazing and thoughtful. The FROMAGE ET POIVRE was one of the best appetizers we've ever had. Perfectly cooked pasta, with a creamy, peppery sauce that we couldn't get enough of. The ribeye was some of the best steak we've ever had. You have to squeeze the roasted garlic over the steak. It's the perfect enhancement. The bernaise sauce was the star of the sauces. The fries and broccoli were just ok. Really phenomenal meal.

I have enjoyed scoundrel many many times and love siting at the bar ! The bar team is so engaging and offers excellent recommendations ! The happy hour is amazing but get there early- folks line up at 4pm!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]First off the vibe is cool, very chill place to bring friends, family, or have a date.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Sat at the bar and had no problem getting in around 5p (all reservations are booked out till like February at the time of writing this) Food was excellent. I recommend the chicken! Ribs were wonderful in taste/texture but were overshadowed by the chicken and gnocchi combo. Make sure you get the bread too! Is it worth the Michelin star? I'm not so sure, but I'm not the one judging and will be back. It was quite good food and service

    The very understated menu.

We had seen the buzz about the Michelin star and were able to get an earlier than expected seating so we took it! EVERY SINGLE BITE WAS BEYOND DELICIOUS. Subtle flavors that linger on the palate; excellent wine list as well as a good variety of beers. Because of the popularity and interest in this venue I felt we were somewhat pressured to conclude our visit earlier than we might have liked. There were several parties waiting for seating when we left so it's somewhat understandable. [[HIGHLIGHT]]But overall, it was a delightful evening with dear friends, excellent food, excellent service and charming ambience.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]And let me add that I am absolutely on board with the current trend of using vintage china for serving dishes that many venues are using now. Such a unique glimpse of the past--mismatched and fun.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Greeenville! We try to have reservations every month for no reason at all and to celebrate special occasions. The food is always on point. It's essentially the best steak you've ever had and the best chicken you've ever had and the best ribs you've ever had and the best Caesar salad you've ever had! In the list honestly could go on and on. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The dark ambience for dinner is something I love to. It's just enough light and just enough darkness to have an intimate setting.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Also, the artwork of scoundrel throughout the restaurant is my favorite. Done by one of my favorite artist Carlisle Mercado![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

    Roasted chicken and gnocchi
    Laura-Grace D.

Just tried for the first time, hopefully I can convince you to get the roasted chicken (I know, I know- sounds boring. But trust me here) it was AMAZING. Best chicken dish we've ever had- had a full on Ratatouille moment! I'm not even a gnocchi person & I'm sitting here craving it all over again. 10/10 Honestly- would skip the tomahawk next time! It wasn't bad but we have definitely had better, & based on the chicken dish we had, I would say the entree's are where they really shine! Crème brûlée was also very yummy. Look forward to trying again sometime.

Ahh I really wanted to love this place. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's so cute inside but Overall it was not as good as I hoped.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I of course reserved a reservation a month in advance as soon as I heard about the star. Wow I mean what an accomplishment. As soon as we arrived we were seated. The tables are very small for the meal we purchased so If you're lucky to get the booth with two people as some did take it. Started off with the Colin's baguette because duh bread. Wow this was my favorite part of the visit. I ended up ordering 2. As first time visitors I was very disappointed with my server. She didn't ask if it was our first time or even give us a rundown of the menu or what was recomended ,I think what was more disappointing was the couple that sat to the right of me who ordered a bottle of wine was given the full run down of the menu. We shared the waitress but I was seated first and she treated them much better than my table. And then to the left of me I witnessed not one but 2 couples come and go with a waiter and he gave both couples a full run down. I just wish my service would have been better however the girl (Kate) who refilled the water was so attentive and kind to us. I wish she would have been our waitress. Back to the food after seeing and talking to a few who were disappointed with their items we decided to play it safe and order the Tomahawk Ribeye with melted broccoli rabe, green salad, duck fat fries and the sauces. First we ordered our ribeye medium well and our waitress said I'll cook it medium because you can cook up not down. Well our steak was for sure not medium well. It did taste good however it wasn't special. The garlic was good. As for the salad which came out first. It was so wet which was fine but very vinegary. The melted broccoli rabe was so salty we could barely eat it which was disappointing and as for the duck fat fries. Nothing special. Skinny string fries with garnish. As for the sauces. I liked the light white sauce and then the gravy and then the basil? Last . During my wait for my steak which they say takes around an hour to prepare so order early. I asked for more bread. Well after 20 minutes of waiting we asked the water server about our bread and I think she informed our waitress because she came back and said I'm sorry I heard you say you were good with bread, not that you wanted more. Do you still want it? And I said yes. Bread came out 5 minutes later. I feel like after spending $260 which didn't include alcohol because we didn't drink during this meal. I really was hoping for a better experience.

Excellent!! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance is moody with an artistic flare.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Our server was on top of things and our meal was perfectly staggered throughout the night. The duck was the best dish at the table (as agreed upon by all four people at our table). The steaks were all perfectly cooked and delicious!

The service with Will was excellent. The item you should try is the Pate. The roasted chicken with gnocchi was perfectly seasoned. The chocolate cake was moist and delicious

Disappointed in the "formal" wine tastings, only because wine pours were small and because it was more of a slide presentation then a tasting. Went to two tastings and at second one we were asked to leave immediately as the room was booked - felt like cattle as we were 20 crowded in the room and had a exit shortly after the hour long slide/ wine presentation. Think time share presentation- only they are selling wine. However, staff is very knowledgeable about wine and they have a good wine selection in the shop.

I'm impressed... OK…read moreso it's a wine store and a restaurant in one. We went with friends, had reservations and were seated promptly. We then took a look around the wine store for something interesting, and found a few bottles that interested us. After being seated and discussing wines with our waiter, we picked two that were served by the glass to taste. We liked the Chardonnay, but the Pino Noir was not what we were after, so our waiter found the bottle we liked in the store and brought it to us. They offer anything in the store for dinner with a $10 corkage fee. The prices in the store seemed very reasonable, so even with the $10 fee added, you are getting a deal. The place was quite nice. Quaint, quiet, great atmosphere for fine dining. The wait staff was excellent, helpful when needed, and otherwise not noticed. Our waiter was very knowledgable regarding wine and was a real help in that area as well as in selecting our dinner. We started with two orders of Shrimp Tacos... Domestic Wild-Caught Shrimp, Asian Slaw, and Sriracha BBQ Sauce... Our waiter brought out some extra Siriacha just for fun. The taco shells were thin and crisp. The BBQ sauce was not super spicy but there was some Siriacha in there, with a touch of sweetness added. It's something that I am going to try to replicate at home. I had the Scottish Salmon... The pumpkin risotto was unique, not sweet like you might expect as in pumpkin pie, but pumpkin flavor in a risotto. I thought it was an excellent meal. Across the table we had Massachusetts Scallops, Crab Cakes, and NY Strip. Everyone said their choice was excellent. For dessert, I picked the Trio of Mini Desserts - Apple-Berry Cobbler, Chocolate Mousse, White Chocolate Croissant Bread Pudding. All of which were great. The bread pudding won the round. I would really suggest it if you have any affinity for bread pudding. All together this was an outstanding experience. I am putting it on my list of favorites in Greenville, and will be back soon.

We went around 4:30 on a Saturday, and it was pretty dead. There were a few people sitting outside, and we were actually the only people inside when we first got there. The vibe felt like they might have been switching shifts and getting ready for dinner service. The service was a little slow to start, and the woman who initially took our drink order was honestly a little rude. My friend asked her for a recommendation, and she just wasn't very helpful about it. No big deal, though, because our actual server for the rest of the meal was SO sweet and amazing. We had absolutely no complaints with her! But then the food came, and we were pleasantly surprised. The absolute showstopper was the truffle fries. All of us could not stop talking about how good they were. They were insanely crispy, the garlic aioli they came with was DELICIOUS, and they were so fresh when they came out. I would genuinely come back just for these. I also really enjoyed the chef's board. It gave us a lot of different things to pick and choose from, and the three of us were able to share the plates and the salad. We all left feeling full but not stuffed. Honestly, the perfect little girl dinner. Overall, I would absolutely come back, and I would order those fries a million times over. You HAVE to try them!

It was hot, but they have lots of fans outside and the patio sits under gorgeous, giant trees with each table having its own umbrella to provide shade. I love sitting here and watching all the goings-on of the park. Inside is cozy and romantic. There is only one restroom, but if you've really gotta go, they are located close to public restrooms for Falls Park. There is also an elevator close by for accessibility. Besides the incredible ambiance, the food is why you come here! All French inspired, you can't go wrong. I got the goat cheese gnocchi and French onion soup. It's the second time I've had the gnocchi and I just love the creamy flavors and varying textures of the dish. The French onion soup is classic, cheesy, and exactly what you want it to be. Others in my party got the airline chicken, which was a big hit! If you're in search of a romantic date night spot or an outdoor place in the shade, consider Passerelle!
