I have been a customer of Curtis Road Self-Storage for nearly 10 years. Because I live in the Midwest where we receive colder weather, including snow, for several months a year, I do not need to have continuous access to my fishing tackle and the beach umbrellas, surfboards and other fun-in-the-sun items that my brothers and I and our children and grandkids enjoy using during the summer when we hang outdoors in Florida for 5 to 7 weeks. To keep our fishing and summer seasonal items organized and readily accessible, I agreed about 12 years ago to store them in my garage and an outdoor shed at home. But very quickly this became unmanageable because the number of water summer season items grew rapidly. One day when driving past Curtis Road Self-Storage I stopped in to inquire about the options available there. After meeting with the office manager and touring the storage space, I signed up immediately, primarily because of the very clean operation at Curtis Road Self-Storage. The grounds were very well taken care of and the storage facilities were modern looking. I mention this because I had helped a friend move some items into a storage facility in Indiana, and it looked quite disgusting. I presumed all of them looked at way. I am glad I selected the Curtis Road storage site. Every now and then I have asked myself whether it is worth the cost and sat down with a calculator to assess the cost/benefit. But then, whenever June-July-August roll about I find myself smiling out loud when the family comes together to retrieve our summer fun items and head to Florida for weeks of good days in the sun. Curtis Road Self-Storage is a hassle free operation, located in a convenient and safe environment, that has lots of stores and restaurants within walking distance. I mention this to underscore the safety factor -- this is not some isolated storage site where all kinds of creepy folks might wander by. In fact, one I needed some string to secure a few items, so I walked across the street to the CVS and then to the Dollar Tree Store to purchase the cord and some duct tape. I have an indoor unit. it is clean, and reasonably priced. When I come into access my storage bay, the lights automatically come on in the building, so I don't have to worry about looking for a light switch, or bringing a flashlight. My building is dry and my possessions are well protected from the elements. The buildings are well guttered, and entire property is paved in such away that any water will run away from the units. I never worry about my things becoming damaged there. The staff live on site, which is an added security feature, and they are extremely helpful. They maintain good and timely contact with me. We have had a storage unit at Curtis Road Self Storage for 8 years and have nothing but good things to say about them. We find the area very clean, well lite at night and a very safe environment. I feel the added security with a pin to enter the storage area and the buildings as well to be very comforting knowing not just anyone can enter at anytime. i have stored my car at curtis road storage for 1 and 1/2 years. the facilities are spotless, well lighted, and always well maintained. it is available 24 hours and snow and ice are removed immediately. additionally, the managers are always friendly and helpful. a great place to store your valuables. i have never had a problem with theft, nor have i ever felt unsafe when moving my car. dan maher read more
