We didn't eat do I cannot review the food. The place looked cool but the two totally separate rooms threw me off. I love playing pool near the bar but the tables were in another room. My biggest complaint is that I preferred (2) Bacardi & Diet Cokes in a tall glass. Turns out when I got the bill - she charged me for 2 DOUBLES! And the price was $38! For 2 drinks! I never asked for doubles! I asked for a tall glass! What a shame - I wanted to like this place. read more

A really nice place to enjoy some bar food and a drink, or a cold beer. They have pool tables and dart boards for all to enjoy. The waiter was great, very friendly and attentive. He took care of our group of 10 very well. The food was good. I had a Philly cheesesteak sandwich and it was very tasty with lots of tender steak. One of our guest had a chicken pot pie and it looked great. The food appears to be home cooked including the soup which was really good. The place is a wonderful addition to the area with pool tables which most places no longer offer, because it takes away valuable table space which generates money. However, a place that puts the entertainment of their guests above money is a place that deserves my business. read more

Went here a few weeks ago and I had a good time. I saw this Sports bar in the area and one night decided to give it a try. The food was good as I had the Buffalo Wings and they were good. This was my first time trying out Scotty's bar and grill and it was alright. We came here to watch the game, which they had a decent amount of TVs. We decided to all order a bunch of apps to share. The food here isn't that great which was disappointing. The nachos were not that great. I enjoyed the flavor of the bbq sauce on the wings, but the wings had a weird crunch to them. I did like the fried calamari though! For dessert I do recommend the lava cake! read more

I've been meaning to go here as soon as I saw that they were open. Finally went last week of December. Had their best seller cocktail, Cherries in the Snow, since it was recommended by the waitress. Sorry to say, it tasted like cough syrup. Had the nachos and it wasn't good either. It looked like everything was just plopped on top of the nachos, which was the best part of the plate. Food wise, I don't recommend this place. What I really liked was the ambience and the service. Everyone was so friendly, nice, and courteous. I love that they separated the bar from the dining area. In the area for an 8pm concert at Bergen PAC (3.5 mi away) - had seen Scotty's listed, I'd never heard of it. I used to be in Cresskill area a lot, not so much over last 2 years or so. Looking for a place to go before the show, we navigated to Scotty's and I'm glad we did. This is exactly the place the area needs! Very cool vibe, we were promptly seated in bar area (our choice). Greeted by a great young man, Shawn, he took some drink orders and let us settle in. When we ordered we got mussels for an appetizer (highly recommended) and both ordered burgers. Great burgers! I really, really liked this place!!! Since I'm inquisitive, I looked up the history of Scotty's and discovered they've been open for less than a year! I'll let you look into it yourself, but to the owner...thank you for your service! A+ place. Now that it's on my radar, it's a go to when we are in the Bergen County area!!! read more

Scotty's is great. Great food, service, ambiance, and value. There's a "loud" side and a "quiet" side so depending on what you want out of a sports bar the restaurant is well-divided if you want a quiet meal by yourself/with a small group or if you want to watch sports and hang out with your friends. There's tvs all around and pretty much everything is on and if there's something you want to watch so long as they have the channel they'll try to find it for you. The drafts on tap are excellent. I love that they have local craft (Hackensack Brewing), more mainstream craft (VooDoo Ranger), and seasonal (Sam Adams Oktoberfest) amongst others. Their happy hour seems great too (half-off beers Mon-Fri 4-6pm). Came here with a group of 7 dad friends to celebrate some birthday and we all had a great time. Ample seating and Scotty, the owner, was super nice and friendly. Most of us had the burger (excellent) and others had the fish tacos/chicken pot pie which both seemed great. The nachos supreme, jalapeno poppers, and bavarian pretzel (imported from Germany) were very good. I took the whole family midweek. Great food , service and atmosphere. We shared a variety of pub food. The wings were crisp on the outside and tender on the inside. The lobster rolls were outstanding and the burgers were done to perfection. They have a nice selection of beers. We will make this one of our "go to" locations for an informal meal. read more

This is me and my boyfriend's go to spot for a bite to eat close to home. Everything we've tried is so good! Any fish options have been amazing. The key lime pie is very good too. Today I took my kids and some friends to the family Karaoke event from 11-1. We had a great time! The food buffet was great for the price which also included soft drinks! So my girlfriend and I went there last night the bartender was nice recommended wings and cheesesteak. So we got them the food was pretty good but the bread was soggy on the cheese steak but still good. But it went down hill with the drinks. I had a few beers which were good my girlfriend had 2 drinks. Her second drink she ordered an espresso martini as she was half way done with it I seen her make a face and she took her straw out and put it on a napkin there was a dead ant there. So we proceed the tell the bartender and she says she's sorry she hasn't been here. She says oh and I'll take that off the bill. What really blew my mind is that she didn't even offer us another drink after. Restaurant 101. Should have said oh I'm so sorry can I get you guys another drink it will be on the house to atleast compensate for that disgusting drink or take an extra drink off our bill. Do something. Not that we would have taken it but put the effort to satisfy your customers. Got the bill charged me for my 4 beers I had and her mixed drink prior plus food no compensation. read more

I was visiting friends and stopped by Scotty's for dinner. Scotty's did not disappoint. This restaurant just opened and is already a fave! I love the ambiance, the plethora of TVs (especially the 100"), the dart boards and even the jukebox! The menu offers something for everyone! The pretzel and nachos are fantastic shareable apps. My cheeseburger was cooked to perfection and juicy! So many times I ask for my meat medium well, and it arrives burnt or medium. Not at Scotty's! The chicken sandwich and chicken tenders were delicious! The menu has so many options! I can't wait to go back and try the crab cakes and Scotty's salad! This will be a great place to watch football and shoot pool! The staff is welcoming and attentive. Scotty's is a great addition to the neighborhood! read more

This weekend was my first visit to Scotty's. I'm a Cresskill resident so I wanted to see how this place was. To start it is a typical sports bar with TVs and pool tables. The menu is limited which I can only assume is because of a small kitchen. The food was pretty good. I had Buffalo calamari and the grilled chicken sandwich and my wife had the mussels. The waiter was clearly inexperienced but very nice. He'll need to learn a few things like making sure the entree come out after the appetizers are done, but that will come. Also, whenever you order a dish like mussels, it should alway come with a bowl for the shells. It did not. We had to ask for it. And then, the waiter brought out a dish and not a bowl which required two dumping. Not sure if they are training him to do that are he forgot. For drinks I order a beer, Stella. I was surprised to see the standard pour was 12 oz ($6) and if you wanted a pint, they up-charged you ($1.50) for the pint I think $7.50 for the pint is a fair price, but in my opinion, the standard pour should be a pint. Since I was there at 4:30 pm on a Sunday and they place was largely empty, I can't judge how the bar performs when full. But on the whole, I like the place and would return. read more

We went for a small family get together on Friday night. The place was packed with people but the service was still great. Food was delicious. Especially the soft pretzel is a must have!! Fun in friendly bar and grill From the time you Are greeted by Aniella the hostess and welcomed to your table by Peter the floor manager do you feel very welcomed! Our waitress Aileen and the rest of the floor staff made sure we had all we needed and that we were happy with our delicious and beautifully plated food and choices and of course anything we would like to drink was available. Definitely a place to meet your friends for a fun day or night out from pool tables to televisions to music and games everything is there for you to have a great time! Attended a recent luncheon there, a large group of people. The room was crowded and not suitable for such a large group. The servers had to cross in front of the speakers and the kitchen was noisy. There was a large selection of entrees along with a soup or salad. The service was extremely unorganized. My table got their appetIzers after many people had already finished their lunches. They served all the similar entrees at a time. I selected something at the bottom of the list and got mine nearly last. The pizza appeared to be frozen boxed pizza that they reheated. The soup wasn't great. The chicken parmigiana wasn't great. Unimpressive. Sadly, they just weren't able to handle an event of this size. The servers blamed it on the kitchen. The small parking lot was full as were the municipal lots so I had to park at an athletic field down the street and walk in the busy roadway. read more

Love this restaurant! My wife and I went there last night - our second visit in the last 3 weeks. This may become a habit. The atmosphere is great; the service is very friendly and responsive; and the food is off the charts good. When you see the moniker" bar and grill" you don't always associate it with great food. Well the place is really nicely done, tv's bar, nice decor and seemingly nice people working. So we gave it what we thought was enough time to get settled to get kinks out! Well not so much, Friday night in summer they busy but not all tables were taken so we sat fast but before we even sat we were told food is 30-40 minutes and we don't drink alcohol, yea I know! But we figured we would order an app Bavarian pretzel and then wait it out for dinner meal. Well it was 830pm we were told the pretzel would take at least 30 minutes. Well we assumed food would be more like 45 minutes if a app pretzel was gonna take that long. You have to get your business straight before you open! read more

I read about this place and wanted to support a former marine. There were at least 3 guys behind the bar where we sat. We sat at the bar because one of the several tvs had the womens us open, which we came to watch. We ordered our drinks and started watching the golf. Within minutes, the bald bartender w the Lynda tattoo on his neck, changed the channel to the mens golf. When we asked for him to change it back to the womens golf, he said maybe it wasnt on anymore instead of simply changing the channel back. We explained it had just started and gave him the channel. He then reluctantly turned it back. He then stood around flirting with the waitstaff while the other bartender took over his duties. Then, while we were watching, after ordering food and more drinks, he changed the channel to the guide without so much as a word to us, knowing we were watching. Rude and obnoxious. asked for no fruit in my drink. gave me fruit, asked for a certain sauce on the wongs, gave us something else. We will never be back! read more
