Scottsdale Hydrotherapy has been a safe haven for me after dealing with severe gut and bladder issues for the last 10 years. All three of their treatments/machines are nothing short of amazing, but my favorite has been the dermashape lymphatic treatment. The first time I did this treatment, I was in the shower that same night and I realized a benign lump I've had in my armpit since I was 12 was noticeably smaller! It was crazy. It's been shrinking more and more after each treatment. It really does make you feel lighter and reduces the inflammation I have in my body & joints from gut infections. If you are attempting to detox from anything, or just want to feel rejuvenated, I highly recommend this. My only complaint is I do wish it was a little more affordable. The colon hydrotherapy has also been incredible for me in removing excess toxins and making me feel energized. My first session was extremely uncomfortable and pretty painful because I had so much built up and was in a bad state. I was a bit apprehensive of hydrotherapy, but I'm now a believer. Weighed in 188 yesterday morning and now weigh 179. You can have up to 35 lbs of more of waste in your intestines, and this is a way to address it. Learned more about gut health in one appointment than I've heard my entire life. Never did this type of thing and I so, so enjoyed the experience and most of all the results! They really take your health into consideration and make recommendations based upon the answers you give during intake. We were placed in a full body massage chair, given a blanket and some healthy kind of tea to drink. I have never left a bad review about anything but this business is the worst I have ever been involved in. Crooked. Also, Marina, the owner, is obviously more interested in making money than helping people heal. Of course, she has the fancy website that always comes up first in Google searches. She's first on Yelp because of her friends' fake (?) reviews. She has all the high-tech electronic booking on her site so you must pay BEFORE any treatment. Because of the good reviews here on Yelp, I trusted that process and, because of a "glitch" on the website this morning, Marina STILL owes me $190 for two sessions that her website "accidentally" billed to my card. Not a single appointment was actually booked!! And now I can't get my money back. Seriously. Her receptionist this morning, before they opened, agreed that the website was at fault. (The site had my credit card number only because it was required information in order to be booked at all. Do not trust this as aspect!) I'm going to have to appeal to Visa to handle the loss. In spite of losing all that money to Marina, I am sick and still needed colonic help. I searched far and wide and did find a much lesser known business that was VERY GOOD and only cost $65. Marina's price is $95 for the same thing. For less time! They use the open style Libbe systm which is tops. I highly recommend that place. I was advised by a health specialist to try a colonic because I was having stomach issues & other pains to my body. The specialist said that if all else failed, I'd at least have a great glow to my skin. Because I was very regular with my movements (2-4 times/day), I didn't think this would be something that would work for me; not to mention I was very intimidated by the thought of a colonic. I put that advice on the back burner for a couple weeks & did a little research. The consensus: most people loved it & said they noticed a difference after the third visit. I made an appointment - only one - just to say I gave it a try...I mean, after all, I'm very regular... I walked-in slightly nervous for my appointment. I was greeted by Marina who guided me through the process. She was patient with all my random questions, extremely knowledgeable & made what would normally be an awkward situation, very comfortable. The atmosphere of the room was dim, calming & carried a scent of a massage spa more so than a glorified bathroom - THANK GOODNESS - haha! The actual process of a colonic was very relaxing & private, nothing of what I'd seen on TV. Marina did periodically check-in on me, which was nice, (but if for any reason I may have needed her assistance, there is a pager button conveniently located on the system - whew!). A mirror is strategically placed so you can see what your body is cleansing out. This was weird & fascinating all at the same time! Again, as I mentioned, I am very regular, I had even gone to the bathroom right before my appointment, but lo & behold --! & for those of you not afraid of little TMI; I also cleansed an abundance of stuff that looked like a cross between popcorn & cottage cheese. Marina later explained to me that what it was, was lymphatics. Which made soooo much sense because I have arthritic hands & knees & I carry a tremendous amount of back & neck pain. After the entire process, I felt a crazy amount of energy. The best part was my neck was completely mobile when typically I could not turn it to the left without strain or force. It was awesome! I ended up leaving that day & purchasing a package of 6 visits. I know most people noticed a difference after their third visit, but I know my body well enough to know it responds slow to everything. Personally, I didn't experience much weight loss like some others, but having a goodnight's sleep due to pain-free joints was totally worth it! I also noticed that I've stopped my nightly need for Alka-Seltzler - that's been great too! Oh, & I DID have an amazing glow after each session! So much so, my 15-yr old son mentioned it to me. I read a review about Scottsdale Hydrotherapy not having a bathroom and booking issues. The review is absolutely bogus - a lie. I am a frequent client and have never had a problem with booking or scheduling. The wellness center has two bathrooms - that's 2 bathrooms! The only time that I have ever waited is when a new client needed more time - if I was new to colon therapy I would want the patience and care that Burdette and Marina show each and every client. Finally got in, and as I was already on the machine I was told there is no bathroom there. This is quite concerning considering what people go there for. Needless to say. I almost had an accident on the floor trying to hold it. I had to lift my dress and jump back on the machine. I won't be back. Thank you for your reply, but I was told the Chiropractor doesn't allow Colon Hydrotherapy patients to use the bath, because they make a mess.
