So I took a brief trip to Wadingriver river to open my summer bungalow. My friend told me about a new place close by called Lake view grill. If you blinked you would miss the sign and they seem to advertise less then I due for my book. So from knowing the area as I have for over 20 years I was shocked at the size of the place. We met the lovely Bonnie who served my friend and I. We didn't go crazy with our orders but enjoyed our chicken wraps. Next time they'll have the outside setup and we'll try diving deeper into the menu. This seems like a word of mouth case because when I put it directly into yelp they have no info on it but I was able to get yelp after just looking up the place. Phil's is still the king of the area for me, he's a great guy which makes the choice easy. Saying that I'm sure I'll see him at the lake view grill helping support their business.

We went for dinner and had some great food and excellent service! I got the Cobb salad with shrimp and it was a giant portion with really great toppings. The shrimp came out a little cold but overall very good. The service was speedy and attentive and the restaurant could accommodate many. The additional events and attractions look like a fun time and I will have to stop back to check them out and eat again.

We have had an amazing experience each time we have gone, the staff has been friendly and accommodating, the place is clean and the property is well taken care of. The food at the restaurant well exceeded our expectations each time we have gone, the chefs recommendations did not disappoint! Haven't tried the smaller cafe but looks great for quick bites

This place is awesome! There is so much to do, it's our new favorite spot. The food is great too we've eaten at the restaurant and at concessions

Super fun! Lifeguards are young and don't really discourage dangerous behaviors however the place is super cool.

Price went up a bit which is sad, but it's still a ton of fun there and their flow rider (the wave) is a lot of fun

Is this place pretty awesome if your child loves dinosaurs-- yes!…read moreThis spot is about an hour away from me, but it's worth the drive to spend an afternoon here. I thought all the dinosaurs were super impressive and love how they setup the whole walking trail. There is a ton of shade, so even if you go when it's super hot you'll be fine! I appreciate all the ferns that they planted around, makes it feel "authentic" with all the dinos. For my dino obsessed five year old he loved seeing all the variety of dinosaurs and even some more obscure ones that he knew and you never see at spots like this. They did a great job of putting some dinosaurs into "scenes" and simply showcasing others with facts and more info. My son isn't into splash pads, but that splash pad looked like a ton of fun. The climbing area was also huge and looked like fun. My five year old stuck to walking around and going through the maze 15 times. The maze is simple, but fun and a nice addition to the park. What I like about this park is it's great for kids of all ages! Probably from at least 3-10 and even older if your child is super into dinosaurs or you are an adult who loves dinos!

Better version of Chuck E Cheese…read more The best part of the trip to Xtreme Play was the strapped in aerial obstacle course. Geared towards the younger crowd, adults can partake in the play which was pretty cool. There was enough excitement from the various obstacles to provide a thrill, old and young alike. This was definitely the highlight of the entertainment center. Safety wasn't an issue and there was enough supervision even with the additional risks. There are many arcade games but 1/3 of the games seemed to be out of order for my trip. Not sure if that is because of the package my group paid for. Honestly most of the games were stale. The bumper cars were of the kiddie variety and used levers for movement instead of a steering wheel so it was a little less bump which takes away some of the fun. The overall drive space was smaller so the bumps were more like nudges. The scary 3D movie experience also didn't provide the thrill I was expecting. The aroma of buttery popcorn is very prevalent everywhere in the center, so much so that I swear it's on purpose to make you buy popcorn. The pizza was not impressive but I suppose standard for the course. During my visit the wait for the concession lines were really long. The floors were well cleaned and maintained which is a nice change from the normal food stained floors of most kiddie entertainment centers.

Considering the fact that 3 hours of unlimited attractions is $43 on its own, the Level Up package is a deal! Plus, I don't have to limit my kids' activities so everyone is happy. My boys loved the Dark Ride, which is an interactive ride with shooting elements, and the bumper cars. There was also a ropes course, rock wall, ninja warrior course, and a ballocity play area. The only bummer was that the mini bowling was out of order, and I know my sons would have loved that.

We visited as guests for a birthday party. The facility is spacious with lots of fun activities,…read moreand the kids had a great time overall. However, I think the staff need better training and more consistent supervision. The ball pit is about 3 feet deep, which can be difficult for younger toddlers to climb out of. I witnessed a mother ask a staff member for help because her toddler was stuck. Instead of assisting, the staff member simply stepped into the ball pit and asked the toddler if they could climb out. The child was clearly unable to, which was the reason the mother had asked for help in the first place. In the end, the mother had to climb into the ball pit herself to get her child. Then at the race car track, staff allowed toddlers who were below the recommended height to ride. I personally didn't think this was a major safety concern since the cars have seat belts. However, after one toddler had started riding, the staff asked the child's mother to remove them because they couldn't drive properly. I understand that other children were waiting (including mine), but if staff decide to allow younger children to participate, they should let them enjoy the full experience unless the parent chooses to end it early. The most disappointing experience happened at the Sky Rider attraction. Children under the height requirement were being allowed to ride, but when it was my son's turn, he was stopped and told he was too small. The child in front of him was visibly shorter and had already been allowed to ride several times. Naturally, my son was very upset. I spoke with the staff member to understand why the rules were applied differently. His response was that after he made the comments, he let my son ride once, but "he got sour and ran away." That comment was unnecessary and unprofessional. My son is on the spectrum, and assumptions like that can be especially hurtful. More importantly, all children should be treated fairly. Overall, the playground itself is excellent and offers plenty for kids to enjoy. My biggest concern is the lack of professionalism in some staff interactions.

The check-in area was very crowded due to the many birthday parties, and the long line was also confusing. At first, a staff member approached us and asked if we had completed the waiver. By the time we finished it, the line looked even more confusing. I had to stop another staff member to clarify whether we were in the right line. It turned out we weren't. The front desk staff responsible for check-in seemed overwhelmed and stepped away twice, so it was a little chaotic just trying to get in. The rest was fun, though. They have a spacious seating area for adults, and overall it felt pretty safe for kids.

You aren't allowed to touch them but if they land on you, you just enjoy that blessing and time with the butterfly that landed on you. All of the staff there are well-trained, welcoming, and friendly with both my kids. You have the option to upgrade your regular admission to a one year membership after your visit. To save yourself from a 3.5% surcharge if you use credit, you'll want to pay in cash. Breakeven for my membership was about 3 visits and we did just that for the 4 days we were in Riverhead. My kids loved it so much that they are already asking to go back. The aquarium is well kept and the sharks are HUGE!! They are definitely well fed. The aquarium is Atlantis themed and you can tell a lot of time, money, and detail went into the making of this aquarium. The aquarium is privately owned and you do see sponsorship (advertisement) from private companies. I am comparing my experience with the NY aquarium in Brooklyn, which I have visited countless times. The Long Island Aquarium blows the NY aquarium away in every way possible. It's new, ventilation indoors is amazing, the sea lion show has shade, the penguins can be seen up close, there's an inexpensive option to snorkel, theres a big tree house, etc. I would totally recommend coming here with your family. If you come on weekdays, there might be a lot of school kids, and if you want to avoid that, you probably should should come around 1 or 2pm. Highly recommend this aquarium.

If you happen to be a tourist passing through or on a road trip, it might be worth a brief stop--it's tucked into a small, quaint town that gives the trip some local character. However, a few things are worth noting: Parking: Unless you're staying at the hotel, you have to park about 4 to 5 blocks away. While they claim to offer a shuttle service, it randomly wasn't running on the Saturday we visited. I'd say for adults the walkthrough was about 40mins to an hr. You'd be done. With kids running around you probably can finish this in 2-3 hrs tops. Value: I understand aquariums are expensive to maintain, but the admission price just doesn't line up with the experience. The facility feels run-down, and while some of the sea life is neat to see, overall it needs a lot of work. For what they charge, you're better off visiting Sea Life at the American Dream Mall.
