Communication time has been reasonable and this is the chimney company I would personally prioritize in this area currently. They focus on parts being replaced only when absolutely necessary and will start/consider repair, the context of the situation, and be transparent with you. They are really good at explaining why you might or might not have a choice in your chimney situation with the work completed on it.

The Fireplace is about 25 years old. Jim disassembled the fireplace and quickly accessed the problem was a faulty pilot assembly. He also determined that the fireplace was set up for propane and since the house was converted to natural gas sometime in the last 25 years, the orifice size had to be increased. Jim brought the fireplace back to life. His price was more than fair. He is a true Fireplace Expert and I would encourage anyone not to think twice about utilizing his service.

On site, Luis and crew had our old steps dismantled and removed in less than a day; the replacement steps took only a few more days to build. They perfectly matched the schist stone of my home's foundation for the risers and when a few of my side path flagstones got cracked in the process of moving, they were replaced with new matching pieces. The team cleaned up each day and power washed after the job was complete. The best part? The fair price, which was less than others who wanted to stucco the risers or only wanted to work with brick. I am very happy with the final results and will definitely hire BJK for future masonry work. Before and after photos included.

Made a decision to upgrade and replace our unit with a more modern one with a remote control, thermostatic controls, ventless logs, etc. We stopped in to see what kinds of options were available, and there were several which fit the requirements. Costs were again reasonable, and the install only took a couple of hours (since it was a replacement). FIreplace looks great and it's much better at heating the room than the old vented system which lost most of its heat out the chimney. Michael came out…read moreand realized that there was squirrels still in there so he wanted to wait a couple of weeks for them to leave the nest. When he came back he didn't hear them so he proceeded to clean out the nest which went 6 feet down. While doing this he showed me the condition of the liner with cracks, rust and sulfuric acid buildups. I knew we had not replaced it so it must have been the original liner when the house was built in the 50's. There was even some parts of the pipes where it was disjointed. Thank goodness that he pointed it out and showed me pictures of it. We decided to get the whole liner and pipes replaced from the gas furnace and water heater. He also resealed flashing which was all dried up and cracked. He put on a new rain cap and top plate so no more chances of squirrels coming back to nest. He came back for the 4th time to finish painting the exterior of the chimney which looks brand new. I contacted Titan Chimney because of all the 5 star reviews and now I understand why. Michael is very knowledgeable about chimneys. I learned a lot from him. He does great work and will photograph everything and share it with you. He is very nice.
