The men who came were professional and fast when getting the work done. My only complaint is that while they were working, they had to install a temporary outlet onto the line to use their heating machine so they could heat and bend the conduit. I thought that was nice to have an outdoor electric outlet, and it would have taken *more time* for them to remove it than to just leave it on and continue forward. My complaint is that they charged me $77 dollars for a half hour of "work" when it actually *saved* them time to leave the outlet on, as is, and the lady in the office would not hear what I said anyway, since the electrician himself said it would just be the parts charge, which was around $44, which is stupid for an outdoor outlet but whatever! So? Always go with what is in your bid, because if you step outside that they will make up mythical charges for "time" that was actually SAVED by leaving the equipment in! Crooked practice, if you ask me! Charge me to save your men time! BS!

Extremely Disappointed - Problem Not Fixed and Overcharged…read more I had a very frustrating experience with Roto-Rooter. I called them to fix a plumbing issue, and not only did they fail to resolve the problem, but they also overcharged me significantly for the service. When I brought this to the attention of the owner, instead of addressing my concerns or offering a resolution, he told me that I would be placed on a list so they would never return to my home. This is completely unacceptable and unprofessional. As a paying customer, I expected at least a basic level of accountability and customer service. Instead, I was met with dismissiveness and what felt like retaliation for speaking up. I would not recommend Roto-Rooter to anyone looking for reliable service or fair treatment. There are plenty of other companies out there who value their customers and stand behind their work. Needless to say, I contacted another plumbing company (Ruger Drain Cleaning) that was reasonably fair in price and fixed my issue was even willingness to come back out at no charge if I still had an issue afterwards. Looking for someone in the Waterloo, IA area I definitely wouldn't recommend them, but would recommend Ruger Drain Cleaning 10 out of 10.
