I had a chipped window "repaired". The technician spent 40 minutes or so repairing the wrong chip,…read morethat I didn't even notice was there. When I told him it was the wrong one he got very annoyed with me and "repaired" the correct chip magically in 10 minutes. Much to no surprise, the chipped cracked a few weeks later. THEY DON'T GIVE REFUNDS! They offer to take the repair price off of the price of a windshield replacement. which still cost more than Safelite. Do yourself a huge favor and just use Safelite. 0 stars if I could. Missy Preston (District Manager) I am patiently waiting your call.

I left the car…read morefirst thing in the morning and called to check on it at an appropriate time (2:30 p.m.) then check again at 3:45 to check on progress of the repair to my 2025 Audi Q7. The district manager was annoyed with me checking so to get me off the phone she said they were working on it then. I still had not heard anything at 4:30 and I knew they were going to close so I took an Uber to make sure I got it back the same day for a doctor's appointment the next morning. When I arrived, it was clear they had not been working on it as she indicated. She said they were "one the phone with recalibration" but the repairman told me himself he had just started. I asked the district manager for the regional manager's email or phone number. The district manager indicated she was not allowed to provider that information to me, than she had to send the message. I waited outside for the repairs to be completed. Once completed, I went inside to ask to test drive the car with the safety features. The district manager said they would not let me drive my car until I paid and blocked my car in with two other cars and opened my car doors for other to steal from it while she left it unattended as if I would drive off without paying. I had already paid 50% for Audi glass to ensure all of the safety features/warranty would be voided. I even offered for someone to ride with me to check it. I ended up having to contact the police and file a report about them. I also contacted corporate when the problem began so I really think she was just retaliating against me.

I can highly recommend Pro Tint…read more Pro Tint is a little hole in the wall place tucked away on Skidaway Road across from the Savannah State University Stadium. Reid quickly responded to my inquiry, gave me a base quote for tinting the front driver side and passenger windows, plus a tint strip across the top of the windshield. I asked for an appointment where I could wait rather than taking a Lyft home and back again. He gave me an appointment for a couple days late I arrived for my appointment and they checked me in. Reid went over what level of tint was legal in Georgia and showed samples as various levels of tint. I chose the maximum level legal in Georgia and I also added a UV option to cut down on heat. They got to work immediately, and I was out of there in about an hour. It might be a little hole in the wall place, but they are very busy and run a high energy shop. Pricing was fantastic, it was less than half of what they wanted to charge me at the new car dealership. It was a brand new car which I had had for less than a week. They work really clean, and the car was returned to me in pristine condition. Since the tinting has to cure, they put a piece of warning tape over the window buttons to not lower the windows for a few days. It has been a month and the tinting has cured to perfection, no bubbles, no issues!

My insurance company recommended me going to Safelite but after reading their horrible reviews I felt like if I went and something bad happen to my car it was my own fault. After searching around and comparing google and other fellow Yelper reviews I discovered Coastal Glass Works. I explained my situation and how I needed to have my front windshield replaced and a possible recalibration and that my insurance would be covering the cost and would they be able to help me. The lady on the phone was super helpful and friendly and let me know the process I first needed to take with my insurance before they could take the job. After contacting my insurance CGW reached back out to me the same day to set up my appointment for that Friday. We ended up having to move it to the following week due to Ian. Gotta love hurricanes! I'm busy during the day and don't have the availability to do a drop off or wait at home for them to come out to me. Which would be a bonus for someone else that may not be able to make a shop visit. They had told me 8-8:30 for Friday morning. I arrived on time and was greeted right off by a wet overly excited brown lab and the owner. There was one person in front of me but I appreciated that he acknowledged that I was waiting and let me know he would be right with me. The front room is small but roomie with seating to the left and a DIY Pinterest desk... I ended up waiting for them to complete the install. I enjoyed learning more about the owner and his sister and I had puppy kisses and snuggles while I waited. The back shop area where the restroom is located is clean and organized. They had me in and out in about 2hr and three other people came and went while I was there with small repairs or fixes but I never felt like they weren't taking care of me. The end result... I no long have a U shape crack in my vehicle and it looks great! The owner went over the paperwork with me which wasn't much considering my insurance was handling it and showed me my new windshield and explained care instructions everything to me. They vacuumed all the glass out of my car and clean my windows. Bonus considering I haven't washed my car in weeks! Lol I highly recommend them for their customer service, follow up and work. I did get a quote on what it would have been if I paid out of pocket. And considering that if Ian hadn't come and they could have gotten me in the same week. It was a overall great deal!

They did get the windshield installed fast and even remembered my rain sensor, that the last safelite forgot about and threw away, costing me $200... I got new wiper blades too, which seem pretty good. But the glass all over the inside and outside of the car is just not cool. At least vacuum it out with a shop vac so people aren't sitting on glass.

Now, after agreeing to accept text communication for my upcoming appointment I was somewhat flooded with several communications of not only assuring me of my upcoming service "at my home", but even they sent a video explaining what to expect when there serviceman arrived and what he needed from me. All of this information made me feel even more assured and expectant of a great service experience. However, the day before all these commitments were to take place I receive a call from their office stating that "not only will they have to cancel my appointment", but I will have to reschedule to come to their facility because they are not able to provide me with the mobile service at my home, for my particular vehicle. Talk about the "left hand not knowing what the right hand is doing". This is just another example as to how communication through "AI" automated systems is flawed. All the promises, all the information, all my enthusiasm to get the work done blew out the window...
