Current technician is high quality guy, Mike. This company is now owned by PRIVATE EQUITY and is everything bad you have ever heard about PE. Coldest day in December, Saturday night, heater goes out around 9PM. Called and the answering service didn't even know what company I had called. "Someone will call you back on Monday when they get into the office." HELLO!?!? my heater is out on the coldest day of the year. Is there is no emergency service available? "Oh yes, we have an emergency service option and they will call you when they get in on Monday." Monday 9am, got a call. VM. No urgency, no nothing. AVOID Santa Fe HVAC and any other company that is PE owned. I was on a service agreement and they would not refund the unused visit. AVOID.

I called Polar and within minutes had a call back and within an hour had a service person out to look at our unit. Shortly after that, everything is up and running. The service person (JT) was fast, efficient and personable. Update: so fast forward a bit...and it was time for us to replace our a/c and furnace. I got multiple estimates and was very pleased that not only was Polar Aire competively priced but they did a great write up of their estimate and emailed (type written with multiple options explained and quoted) whereas the other companies scribbled out their estimates. (I was comparing a lot of different efficiencies and units so this was very appreciated. As well I recently got a water heater from them. Now I have met several of their technicians and they were all a pleasure to work with...timely, professional etc. I love their appointment confirmation calls and texts and how they follow up to see if you are happy with their work. Instead of paying the fee again for their mediocre service, I had someone else out (great thorough service) and they put Freon in. What kind of technician isn't checking Freon when they're in there? We have been a Patriot HVAC customer since we purchased an entire Rheem HVAC system for our home on…read more29 April 2014. We have had super equipment reliability across twelve (12) years. On 12 January 2026, we noticed the house was cold when we woke up. After looking at our thermostat, I tried to change the batteries to see if it fixed the problem which it did not. We called Patriot at 10:06 am, explained our problem, and got on their list to send out a technician. Mike arrived at 11:00 am to check out system to determine the problem. I explained what we experienced with our heating system that morning and then he began his trouble shooting. After checking the furnace fault codes and operation, Mike came upstairs to look at the thermostat. He stated he needed to hardwire the thermostat to the system which he did in a few minutes. When the furnace turned on, Mike went downstairs to monitor fault codes on the furnace. He stated the codes cleared and that is all we needed for the fix. Our heating system has been working just fine since this repair. We always receive prompt service response from Patriot as well as service we trust when Mike has performed work in our home. We highly recommend Patriot HVAC.
