When I called to schedule the service, I was told it would not be an issue. I paid $415 expecting professional, effective removal. What followed was a frustrating, ineffective, and misleading experience: The first technician walked around my house but did not spray the actual nest. The nest continued to grow. I requested a follow-up, specifically noting the need for a ladder to reach the nest near the roof's peak. Two weeks later, a tech returned--without a ladder. Still, I insisted he spray again and watched him do it. Wasps returned again shortly afterward. I informed Orkin that the underlying issue--a gap in the masonry--needed to be sealed to prevent the wasps from coming back. At first, they said this would not be a problem. Then, they quoted me an extra $1,500 for a scissor lift rental, despite initially promising comprehensive service. When I questioned the added cost, I was told it was because the nest was "too high." This height limitation was never mentioned during scheduling or on their website. After nearly 1.5 months, I still have an active wasp nest above my child's room. If you want transparency, follow-through, and actual pest resolution, look elsewhere. Orkin failed on every level. ADDITION: Orkin did provide me with a full refund after creating this post, and we agreed to sever our services with each other.

The traps never found anything... Fast forward to last week when they showed up unannounced to check the status of the attic with the mice. They told us the problem was now worse and we needed to completely replace our insulation and were trying to charge us $10,000!! (This was after their "discount" off of $13,000). We've have 2 other pest companies come and inspect since and none of them have found ANY signs that there have EVER been mice. I asked them if they saw the holes that Orkin showed us picture of. The only holes they found they said were clearly made by HUMANS. No holes from mice whatsoever.

The costs are super reasonable and he won't oversell you on repairs or treatments. He charged $7 for a shoe shine and to apply dye to the heel and edges of shoes. He also charged about $60 to repair 2 pairs of dress shoes, including replacing the rubber heel covers for both shoes and also doing some repairs on the sole (without needing to re-sole). He seems like an honest and hardworking individual and I will be going back to him for any future shoe repair needs.

After seeing this large raccoon walking and sitting in my sons playset, I knew it was time for him to find a new home. Hearing how great Scott is from people around the Irondequoit and on the Facebook pages, I decided to give him a call. Seeing it was after business hours called Scott to see if he could come over the next day and see about relocating this unwanted guest. Not 15 minutes later after I talked to him Scott was at my house setting a have a heart trap. He understood my concern being a father himself and assured me that he would trap and relocate this raccoon. It took only one night to catch this critter. Once the raccoon was in the trap I called Scott and he was over first thing in the morning. Scott from Scott's Pest Solutions is my go-to guy now on. Scott does not control the pests he is the Solution. If you have a critter problem, and know one else can help hopefully you call Scott. No critter is too big or too small. Had a yellow jacket problem I could not fix. I couldn't find Scotts number although I used him in the past. Called a local exterminator that fed me a song and dance of how difficult this job would be and wanted $250. I said no then found scotts number. Excellent service! Took care of 2 yellow jacket nests at my house, and 1 at my neighbor's. I sprayed the nests 5 times with 2 different cans of store bought sprays and neither one worked. A couple of years ago we developed a tiny fly problem in our house centered around our guinea pig cage. We tried EVERYTHING to get rid of them but had no luck at all. When we called to try to reach some sort of resolution, the owner, Don, was completely unprofessional. He began swearing, completely unprovoked, and said a series of things (including that our house was 'sh*tty'). What was interesting was that he said these things without ever having seen our house or any pictures/descriptions of the damage that was done to it. Our house is actually very upscale, so it was very telling on character to have the owner not only swearing at me, but also insulting my home, when I'd called over a repair that probably would have taken 15 minutes. To add insult to injury, the spray itself didn't work. We still have wasp nests and carpenter bees. Don (again, the owner) ended up having his lawyer send me a really nasty note that was laughable- I went to Law school, and the idea that the company that damaged my home was going to somehow take action against me truly made me laugh. I am sure it was one of Don's friends acting as a lawyer, and underestimating the intelligence of whom he was talking to. We ended up being stuck paying for the damage out of pocket, and the bee repellent that did the damage never worked. We never received an apology for the vile words that he said to me; it was an experience I can only describe as gross. I would stay far, far away from this company. What's interesting is that it's now 2026, and I still see complaints about them going up on Facebook within the community. It surprises me that they are still in business.
