After discovering I had bats we called Ehrlich, Ashley came out promptly, assessed and confirmed bats were in my eaves. She explained the process, presented me with a contract on 9/22/2025 and stated they would be in touch for the next step. The next day I emailed her with additional questions and when I didn't hear from her I left a voicemail, when that wasn't returned I called corporate on 9/26 where Clayton assured me someone would be getting back to me by the end of the day. So far I haven't heard another word from them. If you want your wild life problem addressed and solved in a timely manor I wouldn't recommend them. After our greenhouse was literally eaten away by ants in 1997, we decided to invest in a year - round pest protection plan. We chose Ehrlich and are very happy with the service. We live by a lake and insects are a continual problem. Ants, yellow jackets, hornets, carpenter bees, bats and mice have all been a problem. We have had regular inspections and emergency situations. Ehrlich's knowledgeable and friendly techs have quickly arrived to deal with our problems. We actually have 2 properties and one is a rental so it is important to have them respond quickly when we have a swarm of ants flying around the tenants or a hornet's nest over a door. read more

This is such a creepy subject, I fain to write a review, but I am in hopes that someone else is encouraged by my experience. Perhaps you may have heard that their is a current bed bug epidemic in the western world. As an international traveler, frequent visiter to New York City, and hostess to friends from the Big Apple, I was well aware of the infestation. Regardless of my due diligence to prevent their appearance, (deep breath, deep breath), those nasty buggers found their way into my home. As can be expected, I went bizzurko! Clearing clutter, vacuuming, spraying over-the-counter pesticide, purchasing mattress and pillow protectors, sprinkling Diatomaceous Earth in every crack and crevice, tossing out unnecessary stuff...you name a home remedy, I probably tried it. I devoured everything I could find on the Internet to be rid of this nuisance and hours and hours of my time was consumed with annihilating it from my home. You can't underestimate the amount of anxiety and lost sleep this pestilence pestilence creates in your life. I battled it for nearly a year and half, with brief periods of reprieve, whenI finally thought I'd overcome. Finally, I acquiesced to the fact: professional help was needed. I called four companies that specialize in bed bug treatment. Out of the four, Rochester Exterminating was by far the most informed. The employee I spoke with, Patty, was thoroughly knowledgeable on the subject, spending more than 20 minutes with me on the telephone, competently answering all of my questions. Rochester Exterminating was the only company that offered both the conventional treatment (sprays and powders), and the heat treatment, (special heaters brought to the house to bring the interior temperature to a point that "cooks" the bugs). The heat treatment was extremely interesting to me, since I have pets and was very concerned about the impact of strong pesticides in the house. An appointment with Ray was scheduled for the following day. The meeting with Ray was surprisingly pleasant. He was good-natured, EXTREMELY knowledgeable, and truly sympathized with my situation. He spent more than an hour and half at my house looking at my mattress, box springs and other furniture. As life would have it, he could not see any evidence of bed bugs (chalk that up to my obsessive at-home treatments). Possibly I eradicated them, possibly they have just learned to become very good hiders, possibly the irritation on my skin could be from some other home invader. Ray was genuinely interested in my plight and was not flippant about the financial investment required for extermination. Regardless of my panicky response of: "maybe we should treat the house, just to be safe," Ray set-up little sticky boxes around the house to "catch" evidence. I am to call him next week and report what I found. In the meantime, he said, relax, live life, and understand that this problem will go away. "We have studied bugs for years and years. Eliminating them is a science that we understand." So, while in truth, Rochester Exterminating has not done any exterminating for me, yet. I know this is a trustworthy company. If, and when I do need an exterminator, they will be the ones I call. Are they the cheapest? No. Are they the most honest and competent? Absolutely! read more

Aside from taking advantage of us and overcharging a startup fee, Ehrlich has terrible customer service. They missed or rescheduled (without my knowledge) multiple appointments in the short 10 month period we used them, none of my concerns were followed up on, we had a different tech at the house nearly every visit due to techs quitting, and none of them were knowledgeable on the bee and insect issues that were present in our log cabin. Even when I cancelled service they didn't follow up with a phone call as promised to discuss why we cancelled. Mailed a letter to local and corporate offices with no acknowledgment or response. The only person at Ehrlich that was helpful was the salesman that roped us into their plan. Once we signed up, he was useless too. Update 7/26/18: Ehrlich responded to this review on Yelp to make it appear that they care, however I still have not received any communication from them. I responded via e-mail exactly as requested. Not surprising though, since this is how I was treated as a paying customer as well. read more

Needed services..gave them a call...my problem wasnt huge so the guy got my payment down to about $200, this $200 was supposed to cover the first three visits as they guy told me...i was charged about $300..and now after months they are charging me 50$ for a monthly fee I was never told about...dont go to this company..very professional read more

I only give it two stars, as they use so many "i am so sorry for your experience" and try so hard to apiece and they did show up 3 times. I have wasps living inside my roof, not on the edge, but inside. Ehrlich came highly reccomended and after lengthy discussion of this being a specialist job and that I want to keep poison to a minimum because of my pets, one guy shows up and drenches the entire house with some toxic solution, waves goodbye and leaves. Wasps still there, even after a week. When having them come back and again, explaining and agreeing on this being a specialist job, a very angry person shows up, yelling at me, that if I like, he will rip down my roof but for sure not replace it and barking at me the whole time during his visit, and when I wanted to move patio furniture for him to be able to work on a spot, he was about to run off with "i don't have time for this!" --one week later-- wasps are still there and with another VERY apologetic dispatcher, another single person came out to finally do the "special job" requiring two people. He at least went closer to the roof and was friendlier and for a few weeks there where no wasps. I had to go on a work trip for 5 weeks and came back to the same amount of wasps and a new exterior nest- now in winter!!! calling them back, they told me, that they are sooooo very sorry, but now it is outside the warranty and they can do nothing unless I pay for new service!!!! I don't usually write reviews, but I think, this is valuable information to anyone wanting to work with this company. read more

I hired them recently for a squirrel problem in my attic. They were very responsive initially, but eventually became harder and harder to contact as the problem proved harder to resolve than they must've initially thought. The initially guy I was working with stopped returning phone calls, and eventually I got a hold of a supervisor who did stay in contact. However, he delayed additional service visits to the property due to the cold, however, although I believe this was more to burn out the service contract time than actual weather related delays. I know squirrel removal is hard, but I do not feel they put in a 100% effort. In summary, I don't know how they are with other pests, but I would not use them for squirrel removal. read more

The company sent a complete idiot who sprayed our outdoor furniture with insecticide because he was to lazy to get a ladder, then he sprayed a window, he did nothing to help with the problem of wasps and the stinkbugs, said he couldn't see them, and wore so much cologne we had to cover our faces. We paid 250 in advance, don't waste your money, nothing will be done. read more

We have been having a bee 'issue' for a few weeks. It had gotten to the point that I called Ehrlich. I spoke with Sandy at 12:30, she contacted the technician and Eric was here by 3:00. They were both very knowledgeable and helpful. Although not the worst he's seen, he said it was pretty bad. So glad I called them when I did. read more

Called Erhlich after a previous pest control company failed to control our mouse problem. The tech was very professional but after putting down traps and poison (we even opted for outdoor stations) we still had a mouse problem. We even had to discover one of their nesting sites on our own. Erhlich claimed the poison would work in 5-7 days. We called them back 2 more times, but after a month of spending almost $400 feeding mice, we gave up and bought some electronic mouse traps. One day later we had a dead mouse, and 2 days after that another. After that, no evidence of mice. Very unhappy that their poison only seemed to be feeding the mice, not killing them. Talked to manager, but he refused any adjustment to the bill. Seems to us that spending $400 for a month of feeding mice ineffective poison a tad high. Save your money and buy your own electronic and glue traps. They sure proved cheaper and more effective. Ehrlich provided lots of talk but not much effective action. read more
