What really sets Byron apart from other salons I've tried is the attention to detail. It's clear that Ronnie the manager has incredibly high standards and it feels as though there's a real collective effort from all the staff (senior stylists to trainees) to exceed those standards. The service is second to none, the salon is impeccably clean, and while it's certainly pricier than other salons, the whole experience really makes you feel like you're getting value for money. The pricing seems quite standard of St Andrews hair salons with a women's cut and finish setting you back around £42. However some nice added touches are that they do a nice little head massage when washing your hair and often offer you a drink if you need to wait for your hairdresser. On my last visit, it was pouring outside when I went to leave and really appreciated when they offered for me to stay until the rain subsided, even giving me a cup of coffee while I waited. I recommend coming here during the day if possible when they are not so busy. Else make sure you make an appointment for the evenings to make sure someone is available for you.
