On the way home from work, the lights were on so I popped in. These guys are open Tues to Fri late which is great. My wax was done quickly and efficiently. The salon was lovely and clean and quite often, they are able to offer walk-in appointments. It was £20 for a half leg wax (a tad expensive compared to what I normally pay) but a good job was done. I'll probably come here again and I'd like to try other treatments to see if they deserve my 5* rating :-)

This was a few months ago and it's now the only place I go to in Edinburgh for a facial, it's amazing the magic Hollie works with her creams and potions! Each facial is specifically targetted to your own skin type and particularly problems (we all have our own issues don't we ;-). The staff are all incredibly warm and welcoming with a personal touch so you feel special from the moment you walk in the door. I also have to say after getting a manicure there it was the longest lasting one I've ever had. I normally can chip a good polish within a few days but this one lasted two weeks without one chip, which makes it really good value. As mentioned in the other review the free parking outside is also a great bonus, they have regular special offers (follow them on twitter or facebook for regular updates on deals), and they have a loyalty card which means money off on future treatments. What's not to love about The Zone!

i bought an itison voucher for a shellac manicure back in january and scheduled my appointment for…read moremarch to coincide with a wedding and holiday i had planned. i'm always a bit wary of getting vouchers for beauty/spa treatments as i had a rubbish minx manicure done once that was barely worth the £9 i paid for the voucher. however, my faith has been restored in vouchers after a lovely manicure at chamomile sanctuary. i was actually surprised that there are no reviews for this place and also that i had to add it to yelp. chamomile sanctuary is a really lovely place and the staff are lovely as well. when i arrived i was shown to the sitting area to fill out a few forms and wait for the therapist to set up the manicure station. the seating area was decorated to a beautiful standard with big plush couches and chairs and calming music being played. my therapist (i think her name was jenni) came to bring me through the their nail room. it's a very white room with two pedicure stations and three nail stations. i liked that this was an actual room as having people peering in as they walk by or through windows is the street is a bit off putting from the relaxtion bit. jenni showed me the different colours i could have and seemed quite knowledgeable about which were darker/brighter/more sheer than others. i selected a fairly bright pink colour and after sitting down at the station she started the manicure. the whole shellac manicure took about 30-40 minutes, but included a nail file, cuticle tidy, and application of the colour. i was totally amazed at how quickly everything set and within a minute of the infra-red light finishing after the last coat my manicure was set and i was ready to go. almost two weeks late the colour is still bright and completely chip free. to add to my delight, they offer a half price special every tuesday for shellac manicures or pedicures. i've already decided to book in for a pedicure as i was told the colour lasts up to a month!! they do charge £10 for removal of the shellac, but my therapist also helpfully told me how to do it at home if i wanted. so overall a great experience and a great beauty and spa location. i'm already looking forward to going back.

I have been to several places to get waxed across Scotland and also in Boston MA, and I can honestly say that this is the best place I have found both in terms of the quality of the wax, the lack of pain and the cleanliness. It is also the only place i trust with my eyebrows so I schedule in here whenever I come home. They send text message appointment reminders which is fab and also text offers - but I would rather more wax offers than facials/massage! Any of the staff here are great and the pricing is just the same regardless who does the treatment. They also stock Elemis products which i LOVE and have a good range of trial sizes/testers too. All the staff are friendly and approachable and will give advice on beauty/skin issues when getting waxed/plucked. My rountine of eyebrows, full leg, bikini, underarm usually takes around an hour and I can honestly say that it is the most painless wax I have had - and I'm a wimp. Oh and they - don't wax your eyebrows automatically they pluck instead (of course you can ask for a wax) which i love as it is less traumatic for the sensitive eye area. Only giving it 4 stars as it is quite expensive - if there could be some discount for regular customers or more package deals then that would make it a perfect 5!!!
