He carefully assessed the situation and immediately knew what needed to be done. He gave us honest options--either replace the internal components to save money or replace the entire units. We decided to replace them, and he did an incredible job. He rewired everything, cleaned up some of the previous work left behind by the former homeowner, and neatly rewrapped all of the pipes. Everything looks fantastic now, and most importantly--no more leaks! I also asked Troy about having our chimneys cleaned. He was more than accommodating and came inside to inspect our fireplaces. To my surprise, he didn't charge me and honestly told me they were already clean and didn't need to be serviced. I can't help but wonder how many other companies would have been that honest. That says a lot about his character and the way he does business. While he was here, he also adjusted our water pressure, took the time to educate us about it, and checked our front irrigation system to make sure everything was working properly. He was incredibly thorough and never made us feel rushed. What impressed me most, though, was how willing he was to help my elderly mother. While Troy was still working at our house, I went over to my mom's and called him about an issue she was having with her water pressure. Once he finished at my house, he actually drove over to my mom's to take a look and make some adjustments for her. He then came back to my house afterward to adjust my irrigation timer when I remembered one of the irrigation sections was programmed to run twice. We had him running back and forth between my house and my mom's, and he was an absolute trooper. He never complained, was always friendly, and was genuinely happy to help. Troy is hardworking, knowledgeable, thorough, honest, and genuinely cares about his customers. You don't come across that combination very often anymore. I will absolutely continue using him for all of our irrigation needs and any future landscape projects, whether it's a waterfall, hardscape, or anything else. Lindsey, who scheduled the appointment, was professional and explained that they serve one area on specific days, which is why it took weeks to get on the schedule. I made a mistake when I received a reminder text stating that no fire should be burning within a 24-hour window. I immediately called the morning of service to inform them that a fire had been going the night before, since their policy indicates that would prevent service. Despite my attempt to reschedule, I was told it was okay, that they would come later in the day, and that it would be fine. Instead, Rodney came while nobody was home, refused to service the fireplace, and left it partially disassembled. Lindsey later called to reschedule and did not mention any fee. Two days later, we received a surprise invoice for $150. At no point during scheduling or phone calls was this fee mentioned. It was only after I questioned the invoice that I was told it was in the fine print. I had been upfront and gave them the opportunity to reschedule, but they chose to come anyway and then charge me afterward. I paid the fee, but the experience felt untrustworthy--especially because Rodney claimed the fire vents were not opened as instructed. Because we were out of town, I believe he assumed he could say that without question. However, I had video evidence showing that I paid someone to follow his instructions exactly and open the vents. When I confronted him with this, he became defensive and said it didn't matter and that I would have to pay regardless. I offered an opportunity to resolve this privately, but the trust was broken, and it became clear they felt empowered by the scarcity of chimney sweepers in this area. Fortunately, I found another chimney sweeper and was able to create a safe environment without any hassle. I wouldn't recommend this company unless you truly have no other option.
