My son has been a patient here for seven years, and I've finally decided we will not be returning…read more At his recent seven-year checkup, I received a $130 bill because the office tried to classify it as a "double visit." After multiple calls and days of waiting, I was told the charge wouldn't be covered because I had asked for a letter for speech therapy. Even worse, the original explanation given to me was that we were charged because "autism was brought up" during the visit. This is absolutely unacceptable. My son has been on the spectrum --why would I be charged extra for discussing his health during a well visit? If this was truly a "double visit," that should have been communicated upfront, not hidden in the billing process. It feels dishonest and misleading. Families who already have enough to manage should not have to fight surprise charges or be made to feel like discussing their child's diagnosis is somehow billable. After this experience, I cannot recommend this office. Parents deserve transparency, compassion, and honesty in their child's care, and unfortunately, that is not what we received here.

We received a very unprofessional treatment by Dr. Taback. She completely ignored me (the father),…read moreand rushed through the whole meeting in 25 minutes for two children combined. She was dismissive, rude and impersonal. She clearly did not care about our children and her line of questioning showed the least amount of care possible. She quickly read through all questions without even looking up to see what our responses were. I do not recommend this business at all. People working in pediatric care should be patient and show empathy, my family received none of that.

If you need a professional, extremely polite, accommodating, friendly, well-versed primary care…read morephysician....Dr. Forrest J. Robinson, DO is the man!! After years of taking care of an elderly parent, I neglected myself. My 1st appointment was with Dr. Cynthia Page (Ob/Gyne) I asked her to refer me to an African-American physician & she recommended her husband...EXCELLENT CHOICE!! lol My introduction at the Oak Park, IL Lake St office was with the receptionist extraordinaire Ms. Alice Cole. Very friendly, pleasant, greeted me with a smile and made me feel welcomed, like a member of Dr. Robinson's extended family versus just another patient. My next encounter was with Laquita, who began with my preliminaries. Very professional, knowledgeable and kind. I've worked in the dental industry for over 30 years and have "the eye" to spot exceptional employees. Laquita is definitely the "employee every office wants". My first experience at Dr. Robinson's was a world away from previous experiences elsewhere. When I say Dr. Robinson and his team of professionals made me feel that I was in safe hands, I mean it. I smiled, laughed, cried when sharing personal "hidden secrets" and was never left to feel like a statistic, I felt "loved". He treated me with tender loving care because he really does care! You can believe this man of God is awesome and I am truly grateful Dr. Cynthia Page referred me. So the next time you're feeling bad, need a physician, want a second opinion or unable to see your own physician, Dr. Forrest J. Robinson, DO is the man to see. I appreciated his willingness to answer questions and prophetically speak life into me (only the saved will get that~wink) Kudos to Dr. Forrest J. Robinson and the awesome team at Edward-Elmhurst Oak Park location. If I could give them 10 stars I would.

Dr. Al-Kadari has been professional and a caring surgeon treating my mother's necrotizing fasciitis…read morethroat abscess. She is almost fully recovered from her surgery the first week of October 2021 and Dr. Al-Kadari informed us he expects my mother to be back to 100% by Thanksgiving or Christmas 2021. This was only my second time meeting with Al-Kadari even though he was the main surgeon on my mother's case and she spent 3+ weeks in the hospital at Rush Medical Center. Since her hospital discharge October 20th, we have had three post-op visits with his associate, Ashley Knies. Ashley appeared nervous, insecure, and all around lacking intelligence. Our first visit with her she did nothing besides prescribe more opiates. Our second visit she remover the bandage but did not feel comfortable replacing my mother's wound vac stating she did not have proper supplies or bandages. Luckily, our home healthcare nurse, Sarah helped me pack/prepare the wound vac for the post-op visit, in addition to extra bandages. I tried to hand the bag with the wound vac to Ashley but she shook her head nervously so instead I handed a bandage to Ashley who emphasized, "I wish we had these, our bandages are not near as good as these." After our visit, I reviewed the appointment notes in "MyChart" and was shocked to see Ashley wrote we failed to bring my mother's wound vac to the appointment, which is an outright lie! Moreover, let's pretend we had not brought the wound vac or bandages, why are these supplies not at the hospital? Are they truly lacking necessary medical supplies or is it simply Ashley's incompetence placing blame elsewhere?

Not going to name names but I switched doctors internally since my one doctor of 15 plus years…read moreseemed too busy. The new doc I asked to renew my ADHD meds and take them from 30mg to 40mg. She agreed but I had to take a urine test. I received the results back the next day and the RX I use could not be found. She said that happens but I had to take it again. No problem. That was well over a week ago and my professional life is suffering. She insist the govt "audits" her for these test. This is BS. They think I'm a junky (even though I don't do any drugs and am randomly get tested by the company I work for). There are a few great docs there (Fair, Chan and the NGP) but I'm not a happy camper. Good luck out there my friends!

I was recommended this office thru MacNeil hospital, the doctor told me this was a good doctor to…read morego to "Dr.Freed" . Although I do believe he is very intelligent and a good doctor im afraid he is just too old to still be working and im just being practical. He takes so long to say one sentence mostly saying "ummm" and trying to find the right words to use. Very nice man never treated me bad or made me feel uncomfortable or anything. Now Kayla on the other hand I felt was rude and unprofessional with her responses to me as if I should know why my daughter is sick or just made me feel like I didn't know things I was "supposed" to know . I felt very judged because I look very young im 26 but felt as if she was talking to me like I was the child in the room. I brought my mother a few times to make sure I wasn't just having mom guilt or just mistaken about how I was being treated , my mom agreed . She also would address my mom in the room telling her things about my child & how to care for her like as if I was the child not the parent . I never brought this to anyone's attention in the office I just simply stated I did not want Kayla being my daughter's doctor but it's only her or dr . Freed. They scheduled me with Kayla multiple times after I expressed to them I was not comfortable with that . I've changed doctors since then, obviously. just writing this because I would love to inform the younger mothers out there , you know when you're being judged or talked to like a child & the thing is, im not even that young I've seen younger mothers but regardless should not be judged for bringing a beautiful baby to this world. The ladies in the front are great !! just putting this out there byeee

For my very first review I wanted to give it to this pediatric group. My son has been coming here…read morefrom newborn til 8 years old. But unfortunately we moved to California so we had to say goodbye. (Honestly can't even find good doctors compared to them here still). They are very compassionate and truly love what they do for the kids and their families. My son was seeing Dr. Freed (He is THE Best!!!) But he also saw Dr. Ramana & Dr. Gruszka for sick visits and they are also wonderful. Dr. Freed was very patient with all the questions and concerns we had at every visit. He took his time to listen and make sure we understood everything before we would leave. He gave good resources & explanation. He was not the type of doctor who would just give you medication and not give you a chance or input on what you want/don't want. He makes the plans along with you! My son liked coming to see him and out of all the doctors he sees he always ask when we see his other specialist if we can see Dr. Freed instead. The nursing & front desk staff their are very sweet too and we were able to see the same faces usually when we came. Also, got to know some of them on first name basis. They were caring and interacted with my son well. Very patient people. Overall, I would recommend this clinic to anyone. As someone who works in healthcare we are usually careful (very picky) on who we trust with our care and I cannot say anything negative about the providers here! I miss them as my son's healthcare team!
