As a new mom, I know I've probably asked questions she has heard a million times before, but she never makes me feel rushed, dismissed, or silly for asking. She takes the time to listen, explain things clearly, and make sure we feel completely comfortable and informed. Because of Dr. Brito, I feel so much more confident as a mom and confident that our daughter is healthy, thriving, and on the right track. We feel incredibly lucky to have her as our pediatrician. The nursing staff is also exceptional, especially Vicky. I honestly don't know how many emails and exchanges I had with her during that first month as a new mom, and every single time she was incredibly kind, patient, knowledgeable, and reassuring. She made what can be such an overwhelming time feel so much more manageable. Having someone so responsive and compassionate on the other end of all of those new-parent questions meant more than she probably realizes. Dr. Brito, Vicky, and the team are truly the best. We couldn't recommend them more highly!

My son has been a patient here for seven years, and I've finally decided we will not be returning…read more At his recent seven-year checkup, I received a $130 bill because the office tried to classify it as a "double visit." After multiple calls and days of waiting, I was told the charge wouldn't be covered because I had asked for a letter for speech therapy. Even worse, the original explanation given to me was that we were charged because "autism was brought up" during the visit. This is absolutely unacceptable. My son has been on the spectrum --why would I be charged extra for discussing his health during a well visit? If this was truly a "double visit," that should have been communicated upfront, not hidden in the billing process. It feels dishonest and misleading. Families who already have enough to manage should not have to fight surprise charges or be made to feel like discussing their child's diagnosis is somehow billable. After this experience, I cannot recommend this office. Parents deserve transparency, compassion, and honesty in their child's care, and unfortunately, that is not what we received here.

When you think of doctors, you imagine them cold and a bit callus but Dr. CINTRON is so far from the opposite end. My daughter, now 13 years old, has been a patient of Dr. Cintrons since birth. I honestly couldn't imagine my daughter having anyone else as her pediatrician. She exuberates such a maternal care for her patients that it almost feels as though she's one of your family members. She's very proactive in the well being of my daughter; always making sure she's healthy; physically, mentally, emotionally. Her skills as a pediatrician far exceeds others that I've encountered in my 32 years. Her knowledge of pediatric care is impeccable. She can answer any question I have without having to refer back to me. My daughter asked me just yesterday if she'd have to switch doctors after she turns 18 (which is still some years from now) and said to me that she never wants to replace Dr. CINTRON. I cannot sing her praises enough. To say she is a great doctor is honestly an understatement. She's as close to perfect as they come. After having Dr. CINTRON as your children's pediatrician, no other pediatrician will compare. I HIGHLY recommend Dr. CINTRON as a pediatrician/doctor. Your child's well being would be her #1 priority and it shows. Upon meeting her, you'll know you made the right choice. Dr. CINTRON sets the bar pretty high as far as what to expect from a physician. She is the true epitome of a beautiful person/pediatrician inside and out! Thank you Dr. CINTRON for being the compassionate, caring, humble and just all out wonderful person you are. Know that you are appreciated by many and you are an amazing doctor! Sincerely, Melissa & Destiny

Extremely kind and great bedside manner. My kids adore him. He's very flexible in regards to…read moretreatment and preventive care strategies. I love that he encourages our family to have healthy lifestyles i.e. exercising, eating healthy, taking whole food vitamins, eating organic and locally grown when possible. Before rushing to prescribe a bunch of antibiotics or other pharmaceutical drugs and saying "good luck" like most doctors do these days - he'll suggest more natural, holistic remedies first, depending on the medical nature of the problem. He implements a logical sequence and balance of utilizing modern medicine, research and pharmaceuticals as well as natural remedies, as needed. Another thing that I found interesting is when asked at different hospitals (Rush, University of Chicago, and West Suburban Medical Center) who was my or my kids general practitioner , all the nurses and doctors said "you've got a great doctor" or "he's really good at what he does". That's totally reassuring when, if they wanted, could have instead advised me to utilize one of their staff doctors. Dr. Shauttauer came to the hospital after my second child was born and ensured she breastfed immediately to get the colostrum and that the baby nursed properly. And he was very concerned that I was doing well also. That experience was completely different from the hospital ended up at after delivering my first child (before I found Dr. Shauttauer) where the staff wanted to immediately take my son to see some random pediatrician and my husband had to debate with the staff to keep the child in the room with us or he was going where ever they were taking our child (and he did - they called him "the crazy man that won't leave his child") and they also gave our baby formula (which caused him to vomit multiple times) after we told them not to...sorry, had a short post traumatic stress moment there. Anyway, Dr. Shauttauer insured he was at the hospital on a Sunday to check on my newborn so the staff didn't have to whisk her away. Just be aware you have to pay out of pocket for office visits and hope to get reimbursed from insurance. I never remember to submit my claim to the insurance. So my visits were never counted towards my deductible. But, I'd rather pay out of pocket for good care for my children than let my insurance pay a crappy doctor. I can't say what the prices for everyone else will be, but I paid a ranged from like $50/visit to $150 for hospital visit. It may be different now because I had my daughter in 2015. Call first to check the prices before making a visit, to be sure.

Dr. Matusiak ran a second strep test, (we had one on Thursday afternoon/evening came back negative) which came back negative. Dr. Matusiak was very rude when breaking the results to us by saying "Bad news, its negative. Now I know you wanted it to be positive so you would get antibiotics and be all better by tomorrow. He is exactly what you'd want in a pediatrician: super smart, attentive, kind, available, and always patient and respectful of the kids. He has answered our late night calls, had told us when to get extra attention, and has also told us when things aren't as serious as I was worried they'd be. Three of my sons have some underlying issues and are seen by a nationally known specialist out of state, and we have always appreciated how easily Dr. Mercola interacts with that doctor. There is always coordinated care. The staff could not be nicer, and we have never had to wait long for an appointment. We've also always been able to schedule same day appointments when needed. We grateful for that! Parenting is hard. De. Mercola makes the medical part of it much, CMU easier.

After calling the office, I was told "That doctor does not generally test" and "Each doctor has their own way of doing things." Dr. Haukness is not our usual doctor there and we would never have gone to see her had we known in advance there was such a difference in care (which diverges from what most doctors do / recommend). I think we called at the right time. Our main provider, Dr. Turk, is awesome. She takes as much time as is needed, she is extremely caring and seems to understand our concerns perfectly. We love their setup regarding sick visits and urgent/non-urgent call system. Our youngest daughter is only six weeks old at the time of writing this review. Overall, she is healthy, but she did catch a virus and ended up hospitalized one night when she was four weeks old. We brought her in for a sick visit when the symptoms were minor and first presenting. I was so impressed that Dr. Turk called the very next day, after the visit, to check on our daughter's progress. The first symptoms were relatively minor (still scary in that young of a baby). Unfortunately, they worsened. However, the practice was so accommodating and took the initiative to continue contacting us once they were aware of the problem. Dr. Wegner saw us for the second sick visit and correctly advised us to bring her to Northwestern, where she was inpatient for a night. The practice was then very proactive in continuing to follow up with contacting us upon discharge to check in with how our baby was doing. I was extremely impressed and grateful for the care this practice provided, and continues to provide, to our family.

But he also saw Dr. Ramana & Dr. Gruszka for sick visits and they are also wonderful. Dr. Freed was very patient with all the questions and concerns we had at every visit. He took his time to listen and make sure we understood everything before we would leave. He gave good resources & explanation. He was not the type of doctor who would just give you medication and not give you a chance or input on what you want/don't want. He makes the plans along with you! My son liked coming to see him and out of all the doctors he sees he always ask when we see his other specialist if we can see Dr. Freed instead. The nursing & front desk staff their are very sweet too and we were able to see the same faces usually when we came. Also, got to know some of them on first name basis. They were caring and interacted with my son well. Very patient people. Overall, I would recommend this clinic to anyone. As someone who works in healthcare we are usually careful (very picky) on who we trust with our care and I cannot say anything negative about the providers here! Although I do believe he is very intelligent and a good doctor im afraid he is just too old to still be working and im just being practical. He takes so long to say one sentence mostly saying "ummm" and trying to find the right words to use. Very nice man never treated me bad or made me feel uncomfortable or anything. Now Kayla on the other hand I felt was rude and unprofessional with her responses to me as if I should know why my daughter is sick or just made me feel like I didn't know things I was "supposed" to know . I felt very judged because I look very young im 26 but felt as if she was talking to me like I was the child in the room. I brought my mother a few times to make sure I wasn't just having mom guilt or just mistaken about how I was being treated , my mom agreed .
