I went to Dr. DiMento yesterday for my fillings and I lost sleep over the thought of the procedure…read more I hate needles. I was up all night, throwing up and worrying about the possible pain. When I got in the chair, he got me relaxed and I didn't even know the needles went in! The rest of the procedure went very smoothly! The attention and care for each patient goes above and beyond here and I cannot thank Dr. DiMento enough. Getting into the office was quick and easy. Very little wait time and the staff was all very friendly and welcoming. Thank you!!!

Once again, Dr. DiMento performed his magic yesterday (9/13/22) I left a review months back…read moreexpressing how my visits with this dental practice had been beyond phenomenal , but I truly have to say, Dr. D is so patient, caring, focused on what's best for his patients, so precise with his work, considerate, friendly, personable, down to earth, funny and so so much more. I started seeing him in June 2021 and when I say this man had/has his work cut out for him when it came/comes to correcting issues with my teeth, that's an UNDERSTATEMENT. I was very embarrassed bc I didn't want him or his assistants to think I didn't take care of my teeth, bc I did. He instantly put me at ease simply by sitting right next to me with my x-rays up on the screen and said, " I can tell you care about your teeth bc I can see the work u've had done in the past If you didn't care , you wouldn't have had any work done. So don't be embarrassed. Together we're gonna come up with a treatment plan and take care of everything that needs to be done, so never be embarrassed "and that is exactly what he has been doing once a month. During my recent visit I had expressed to him how I had brought my 78 yr old mother with me. With out hesitation, this man points to the chair in the corner of the room and says, "How come Moms not in here. Do you want us to have her come back here with us?" I didn't lol, she was comfortable out in waiting room, but it was so generous of him to offer and it was more then appreciated on my end. But what truly won me over with him, not that I wasn't already, is when the next thing he said was. "I'd love to meet her. Your mother. Are you able to wait a cpl extra minutes in the waiting room after we are done here, I'd like to come out and introduce myself to her"....ok I won't lie, that honestly touched my heart....who does that? What professional WANTS to take the time to come out and meet a 78 yr old woman, a patients mother ? And she even had a cpl questions and he nvr once rushed her, said he didn't have time to answer questions, blow her off or make her feel like her questions were not important. That, to me, is the highest form of respect. . But THAT is who Dr. DiMento is. That's the kind of human being he is. He's not looking at you as a "paycheck", he truly treats his patients like family. I more then recommend Syracuse Family Dentist. The whole entire crew is friendly, funny, personable and professional, The office is beautiful, welcoming and comfortable. Need a dentist? Don't look any further, Call these guys, you will not regret 1 second of your decision. See you next month SFD. LOVE THESE GUYS

I read through many of the recent reviews before deciding to write this, and it's clear that some…read morepeople had experiences here that were frustrating or hurtful to them. I don't dismiss that. Feeling disrespected, rushed, or stuck waiting in any medical office is upsetting, and I understand why emotions can run high around that. That said, my experience with Dr. Kaur was very different. During my visit, Dr. Kaur clearly showed me where the trouble with my teeth was, explained why those issues existed, and walked me through what could happen if they were ignored. What stood out to me was that she never demanded that I do anything. There were no scare tactics, no pressure, and no "you must do this now" tone. She simply explained the situation and offered reasonable options, leaving the decision in my hands. I felt listened to, respected, and informed rather than pushed. That matters to me. I also want to offer this gently: medical and dental offices are run by people, and people are not perfect. Schedules can run late. Communication can break down. Stressful days happen. That doesn't erase frustration--but it also doesn't mean every patient will have the same experience. I went in looking for care, not conflict, and that's exactly what I received. For anyone reading reviews and trying to decide, I would encourage taking a balanced view. Different people can walk into the same place and come away with very different experiences. Mine was positive enough that I would return without hesitation and feel comfortable recommending this office to others. I truly hope that those who had difficult experiences are able, with time, to rethink them and put them in perspective. Emotions can run high in moments of stress, and sometimes distance helps bring clarity. My experience showed me that there is more to this practice than what is reflected in the most emotional reviews.

I did all the things, all of them Arrived to my supposed-to-be consultation with the dental proprietor of the establishment, to be served a cup of rinse. I rinsed. I spat. I sat awkwardly through 20 pictures of my teeth being taken by digital camera. I held the tongs when asked. My husband raised an eyebrow. I shrugged. I was there to discuss a plan for getting implants, as my teeth did not make it through terminal lung cancer as peppy as I did. When I informed them I was not there for the $149 super special super cleaning, confusion was thick. I said again, I was supposed to see the owner. Andrea said she works with the #1 implant specialist in the country. I was stoked. We then waited 30 minutes for the dentist who showed up delightful, gentle and absolutely clueless to anything. She asked why I was there. I said to fix my teeth. She said what's wrong with them. I said there's only 7. She asked what I was specifically there for. Now less sure, I answered... expertise? On... dental... implants? Did no one... sigh. She excised herself to peer at my X-rays for the first time, and then said she would not be able to help me, but handed me a useless post-it where 'a firmer cancer patient like me can go to get specialized care for my cancer deformity.' Um. Those teeth were pulled in the 90's, back when sedation dentistry wasn't really a thing, and my dentist pulled anything that needed more than 10 minutes work because I had panic disorder. Unacceptable in the late 80's and early 90's. Point is, it was a waste of time, a schmooze to get me there and it was irritating because now my sedation dentist is like: appreciate what you have. And maybe that's it. I'll give him 23k because my deformity, whether from cancer or anxiety, doesn't bother him And he knows I'd absolutely smack him if he said I was deformed. Because what a douche to the ego High traffic. Very busy. It's dark. Addams family decor (black blinds with dark blue floors). Don't recommend. Unless that's your thing. Then go for it.

I have been seeing Dr. Schwab the entire time, he's probably nearing retirement now. The hygienists and receptionist have been there for many years, low employee turn over is always a good sign. The entire staff is friendly and professional. A few years ago they started submitting claims to insurance on your behalf, I like that. I'm not a huge fan of the location, it's in the, "badlands" of Syracuse. I still make the drive from the southern suburbs because I think Dr. Schwab is worth it. About a year ago I left central New York for Austin, Texas. My new dentist complimented Dr. Schwab's work on my multiple fillings. She said they looked tight, clean and professional. I have never had a filling crack or need to be replaced, the work speaks for itself. If you live in central New York and need a dentist, stop looking and call the Dental Arts Group, it's well worth the drive.

Its so refreshing to be encouraged rather than told all the things you're doing wrong. They were beyond amazing. Dr. Schwab is so friendly & warm. His assistant is lovely. The girls up front are so helpful & kind. The hygienist I saw was wonderful. She was gentle on my teeth & completed my cleaning much more quickly than I expected. Everything ran like clock work. I love the location. Its so convenient for those of us that live near Tipp Hill or work near downtown. I have an appointment for a filling in a couple weeks & I'm actually looking forward to going back... to the dentist! Can you believe it?! If you're looking for a welcoming atmosphere, great staff, and excellent dental care I highly recommend Dental Arts Group!
