I have been waiting over 3 months for a procedure and the office is claiming it is due to insurance denials. However, as my condition got worse and didn't improve, the care declined. Dr. Reilly suggested I continue to use Miralax and other laxatives for my chronic constipation after my colonoscopy came up clear. No further investigation was suggested. I asked to see a dietician, and she referred me to someone. I was told the first 3 visits are covered by my insurance with pre approval. I double checked with both my insurance AND their care team AND their billing department before attending an appointment. After working with the dietician for several months, I continued to have trouble. I switched to Dr. Raju Ramu at the practice in Louisville. He brushed me off saying I needed to add more fiber to my diet and continue the Miralax. Then I get 3 bills at full price for the dietician, had I paid out of pocket it would have been $100 cheaper, even though their billing department verified and my insurance rep said it would be covered. Not only that, they charged me TWICE for the same visit taking money from my HRA BOTH times. This is ROBBERY. Not to mention they were charging me twice every time I went to the doctor, charging me at the time of the visit and then taking money out of my HRA. I didn't catch it right away, so who knows how much money they've stolen from me. When I called the billing department they said they would reimburse me but there was no way for them not to double charge me. So if you don't pay attention, they will DOUBLE charge you and they will not fill out the proper paperwork for your insurance to cover the extras.

Original Review: Be warned, this office location is not owned by GI of the Rockies and you will be billed by a multiplier of 4x to 5x for the facility alone. You will be told about this charge, but only one day before your appointment. Their automated calls to remind you about the appointment hang up after you answer, forcing you to call back and wait on hold to ask why you received a phone call in the first place. Lastly, during my visit there was tape all over and the office did not look finished. I have serious concerns about whether or not this is a legitimate endoscopy center and would not recommend this business.

In case you or your family is having dental work done I wanted to share with you an experience I…read morehad with Dr Raposo of Alpine Oral Surgery so you don't have the same experience I did. Dr. Raposo seems like a competent dentist, but beware the surprise billing - for me an extra $900 on top of the $500 I was told I would have to pay. I took my daughter to Alpine for wisdom teeth removal, and we had our intake in the spring for an August operation. I was told when I checked in that the price to me would be just under $500 and the insurance would pay the rest. In August we went in and had the procedure and were very satisfied, and I confirmed that I had paid in full. Then two months later, out of the blue I received a second bill for over $900. I phoned up and was told that in the end my insurance company did not cover as much as Alpine thought they would. I checked with my insurance and Alpine had not queried my coverage to confirm at any time in the five months or so between my check in and the procedure. Then someone from Alpine phoned me back and told me that, in fact, the staff person who did my intake was fired because she had been wrongly informing patients about their financial responsibility. In other words, Alpine admitted their staff person had misled me. So my position was - OK it's your staff person who gave me wrong information, it's your responsibility. They said, no, you pay up for it, or it goes into collection. In the following months I have been trying repeatedly to speak by phone with Dr. Raposo and he has refused to set up a call with me. The best I have gotten is a voice mail message telling me to pay up. In other words - his staff admitted that I was misinformed by their staff and yet this surprise bill of nearly $1000 is on me. Compounding that is the disrespect and discourtesy of Dr. Raposo in not even being willing to set up a time for a phone call with me. I called him at least half a dozen times and he was always unavailable, and when I sent him times I was available for a phone call, he simply ignored me. So, I guess, either he thinks so little of his patients that he blows them off or he doesn't have the guts to talk and instead hides behind his staff. Aside from voicemail all I got was another notice saying that it was going into collection. Clearly it's the fault of Alpine that I was not correctly informed as to what my cost would be, and even so I offered to negotiate, but all I got back was a threat of collection if I did not pay up. So I would say, unless you don't mind the possibility of getting misled about what you are going to have to pay, and then being treated with disrespect and as a delinquent debtor, then you should go ahead and go to Alpine. However, there are many oral surgery options in the Boulder area so you might want to find some equally good practice which will treat you with professionalism and respect, not mislead you regarding your billing and surprise you with a final bill of about three times of what you were assured would be your out-of-pocket cost, and even though you were misled by their staff demand that you pay it, without even having the courtesy to discuss it with you.

I came in needing a root canal and was nervous, but they made me feel incredibly comfortable from start to finish. The lady answering billing questions was not very helpful and at times pretty short. Insurance can be scary and uncertain, and as a patient I want to know (1) what the procedure is going to cost, and (2) if there's uncertainty around costs, what they are, and how they might be resolved. Having a patient and empathetic billing person would go a long way to helping this.

After seeing a pain management doctor for more than a year (receiving countless injections and repeated physical therapy) and not getting any relief, my pain management doctor referred me to Dr. Gary Clark for prolotherapy. Dr. Clark gave me a thorough exam and found that I had scoliosis in my spine and that my sacroiliac (SI) joints were out of place. He took a detailed medical history, and at each visit he explained what he was doing and why. He did repeated injections and adjustments on the SI joints -- the latter of which corrected my leg length discrepancy. These treatments relieved a lot of pain. Dr. Clark also referred me to a physical therapist who works with scoliosis and joint displacement using visceral manipulation. (Dr. Clark's office also went out of the way to find me a practitioner who both offered this treatment and accepted my insurance.) I have been receiving care from Dr. Clark for six months, and after today's visit, my SI joints have improved greatly. The scoliosis is gone, and the leg length discrepancy is resolved. I still get breakthrough pain in the thoracic area, which I can reduce with specific exercises and a percussion massager, but if it were not for Dr. Clark, I would still suffer at a pain level of ten day in and day out. He is thorough, thoughtful, caring, and patient, and I highly recommend Dr. Clark to anyone looking for relief of any type of orthopedic issues.

Following my prolotherapy injections, some adjustments he taught me to do on my own at home, coupled with PT and pilates, my knee pain has DRASTICALLY improved and I have been running 1-2 miles, which might not sound like much but is a miracle after my initial diagnosis. I cannot say enough good things about Dr Clark and how different his care has been in comparison to my initial diagnosis from my ortho. He genuinely cares about his patients and is committed to helping them improve mobility and live a satisfying life.
