Colorado Orthopedic Consultants in Aurora is an organized office. They sent me texts and emails prior to the appointment to get paperwork filled out. Once I arrived I had a short wait to see the doctor. His PA came in first and looked at my ankle and then I had X-rays done to check on status of fracture and healing. Dr. Meyers evaluated the X-rays and found my ankle was healing. All of the rooms I was in were clean and stocked with cleaning wipes. The office has a large area for physical therapy that I just saw. Be aware that parking is limited outside; there is a large parking garage that I ended up in since this office is adjacent to a hospital.

My…read moreprevious orthopedic surgeon had put me in a brace and said that it looked great every time I had an office visit and they took an x-ray and said to come back in another couple of weeks for another check up. My arm was NOT healing and the pain was unbearable and they didn't seem to even care. Dr. DeLaRosa immediately said he was very concerned on my first visit and ordered blood tests and took x-rays and told me that there is definitely something delaying the union of the bone and it was not okay to keep waiting. Within 2 weeks, we had performed surgery and my bone had been stuck in the muscle the whole time and was never going to heal without surgery. Dr DeLaRosa put in a plate and screws and the bone is literally in perfect alignment again! Today my arm is nearly back to full function and better every day! I cannot say enough about the quality of care from all of the staff from the front desk to the schedulers, the MA's and of course Dr DeLaRosa....everyone at OCC went above and beyond for my care and still does!

The surgery went well and he had a special splint made that would allow me to get back to work ASAP. He said the swelling would take a year to completely resolve and he was right. My family and I are so beyond grateful to him and his amazing team that has helped my father get his life back. He has been a patient of Dr. William Choi's from 2019-2026. My father's back issues vary and are complex. From breaking his back in Vietnam jumping from a helicopter to all the hard work in his long 74 years of life that has caused several back issues throughout the years. 2026 has been off to a hard start, Dad fell from the top of the stairs early January and rushed to the Castle Rock Adventist Hospital. He had broken his spine in 3 spots; the ER department was ADAMENT his spine injury was too severe for the hospital and were insisting on him transferring to another hospital. I called Dr. Choi's office after hours knowing it was a long shot, I'd get a response, but they went above and beyond. No other surgeon at the hospital would touch this severe case, but Dr. Choi and his team stepped in and told them don't dare move my patient to another hospital. He performed emergency surgery the next day and every step of the way him and his team were there. We've had to undergo two other back surgeries since January 2026 due to the fall, and Dr. William Choi and his amazing PA-C Samantha Sanchez-Cifuentes have done nothing but astounded my family, and we are forever grateful for this amazing team, Health care these days is such a challenge, but with this team fighting for us every step of the way we were always in the best care imaginable.

In July, 2024, Dr. Choi performed a spinal repair on L2-5 for me, in order to fix two former ones. In November he fused L7-T1. I have healed and regained my strength in practically no time at all. I feel great! These surgeries were skillfully performed by Dr. Choi to allow me to retain my strengt as I care for my handicapped wife most all the time. In fact, I am looking forward to Dr. Choi possibly operating on my wife's spine soon. It will be a very complicated and delicate procedure. This review is for my wife's surgeon, Dr. Hugh McPherson, his PA Chris Jackson and the 2 post op…read morenurses Ricky and Lindsey in the OCC Surgery Center. My wife had lower back surgery which went as planned with no complications. This just happened yesterday so she is definitely in the recovery stage at the moment. Back surgery is a very traumatic event no matter what type it is and Dr McPherson and Chris did a great job prior to the surgery explaining everything. There is little for me to say about the surgery itself but I can certainly comment on the recovery at the OCC Surgery Center next door to Peak. The admissions staff was welcoming, very professional and courteous. The bigger story was the pre op and post nurses, Ricky and Lindsey. It was their job to make my wife as comfortable and at ease as possible considering what she was having done. Ricky was with her from both pre op to post op and Lindsey finished off her stay in recovery. Caring is the first word that comes to mind closely followed by professional and simply knew their stuff! This was a difficult experience for my wife to handle and they helped every step of the way. There are not enough words to express her gratitude to the fullest! Thank you and yes, if you need to go this direction we highly recommend Dr. Hugh McPherson, Chris, his staff and the team at the OCC Surgery Center!
