After reading many good reviews through Google I decided to check out this dentist. I have several…read moregenetic issues with my teeth, including hypodontia (naturally missing teeth) and enamel hypoplasia. I brush twice daily, I floss, etc. No matter what I do, my teeth have continued to decline. I decided to visit this dentist because on the website they specifically said they do everything from cleanings to dental implants. I was completely fed up with my teeth and went there to discuss extraction implant options. I also absolutely hated the way they looked, which was a fairly large factor in deciding to have my teeth extracted and replaced. They did a full exam and then the dentist looked at my teeth and completely ignored everything I said about how I have diagnosed genetic issues that affect my teeth. He told me I just wasn't brushing enough (I brush until my gums bleed, it doesn't help). He also said he wouldn't do implants on me, and instead quoted me like $15,000 worth of dental work which involved many root canals, crowns, and fillings, all of which could eventually fail anyway due to my genetic problems. In short, he made me feel like absolute garbage. He told me I'd have to "prove" to him that I was committed to having better teeth by brushing for over an hour a day. It was very clear he was not willing to take into consideration my medical history. He also was not willing to consider improving the cosmetic look of my teeth, which has always been my largest insecurity. He started running down a list of why implants are a bad idea, and ignored me when I said I was more concerned about my current teeth causing repeated infections. I've already had sepsis once, and I do not want to go through that again. he ignored that. On their website they also state that the financial wellbeing of their patients is a top priority for them, and that they believe that finances shouldn't prevent people from accessing high quality dental care. I have dental insurance. I'm a single parent and I don't make a lot of money. They mentioned in-house payment plan options. Let me be clear: this is a lie. They do NOT have in-house payment plan options. They have third party lenders, and you must have a good credit score to get approved for those. Also, they don't bill your insurance up front. Instead, I was halfway through treatment when I discovered I had to pay FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS out of pocket just for the services I received that day. Then, after I paid that amount of money they would send the invoice to my insurance and my insurance could reimburse me. I don't have an extra $500 just laying around, and insurance can take weeks to send reimbursement checks. $500 is 20% of my monthly income, and I already live paycheck to paycheck. I left the office in tears. The next morning I sent an email to the office to let them know that I wasn't happy with my experience, and I explained exactly what had happened. I wanted to give them a chance to try to understand my dental situation and then maybe they'd understand and offer a better approach. They didn't even respond. No email, no phone call, nothing. I'm sure they have a great approach for people who have expendable funds and naturally healthy teeth. However, if you have a complex dental case and a limited budget, avoid this place at all costs. I sought treatment elsewhere and finally got implants and I have no regrets.
