I've be a patient of Dr. Nagy for decades. I've always been very satisfied. Had my first filling in decades. Painless. Two thumbs up.

I love Dr. Nagy...very caring and good dentist. Biggest problem is their accounting practices. I've had a credit on my account for like a year, figured I'd use it if I have to have a procedure. Called today because I need an extraction and they can't access my account and said I'd have to wait like 30 days for them to do an accounting audit. Really? Not ok with that. With technology today, you should be able to access a person's account immediately. Therefore I requested a refund from my account which the credit was substantial and am now looking for a new dentist. read more

We transferred our services to Nagy Family dental in Jan 2023 after our dentist retired. We have quickly come to learn that this practice is more in to the business side and not necessarily for the best of the patient. As a practice this large they should fully understand billing dental practices and not provide services without getting prior approval from insurance leaving the customer to pay expenses out of pocket for services not needed. And be aware that if you cancel a scheduled appointment less than 24 hours from appointment you will be charged $75.00 read more

My child had to have another oral surgery this morning. Our first experience was absolutely horrific and tramazing. No child should have to go through what he did.Needless to say we found a new oral surgeon. I am SO happy that we drove to Dr. Scott Nagy's office just north of LCCC in Sheffield. He was incredible with my child. He explained everything and he is so compassionate. My child was actually excited to go this morning and not afraid even after the last experience, because Dr. Nagy earned his trust during the consultation. If anyone you know is looking for a new Dentist or Oral Surgeon I would encourage you to refer them to Nagy Family Dental Group. I am seriously considering changing Dentists and driving 35 minutes each way because the experiences have been the best I have ever had with anyone in the Dental field. read more

This is a dentist office unlike any other. They immediately just put you at ease once you check in. During the exam they get to know you and what you prefer when you're at a dentists office. I like to know everything that is about to happen and Dr. McDonald was so good about letting me know what was going on. They are super gentle and you can tell they really care about their patients. read more

This is a Christian establishment. They have a wonderful staff who make you feel like family. Fish radio plays on their loudspeakers and their are bibles available for free on the side tables. They schedule you so that you always have the same hygienist to clean your teeth. The most important part of this practice is that they have a painless dentistry concept. If at anytime you feel pain or discomfort, they fix it! The doctor truly cares about your well being. He's also a huge Ohio State fan, his alma mater. I have been going to them for over 5 years now and I would never go anywhere else! read more

Work for the VA in Lorain and was referred by a former patient of Dr. Nagy. I was also forwarned by several former patients/co-workers of the VA receiving the same rude/unprofessional treatments from front office staff Shelly and poor billing practices. However, based on the dentist's work ethics I took a chance. Dr. Nagy great! I paid fees charged at the time of my visit with Shelly. Received another surprise bill for a consultation fee that was NEVER explained to me when I scheduled with Shelly. Went to the office the following day in November regarding the bill seeking explanation. Shelly was nasty, spoke in a demeaning manner and when I requested the office manager ,"She is not here. I will have her call you". I have called three times (December, January) requesting the office manager again to be told "Not here I can give her a message" or "She is in a meeting." Two months later, still waiting for a call back f from the office manager and today I received a statement for a late fee for the charge I had in question! I called today and Shelly said, "Office manager not here". Lesson learned, take heed when former patients or coworkers former patients tell you about any doctor's office. Especially, rude and unprofessional front office staff and poor billing practices. Unfortunately, my dental visits with Dr. Nagy are over as with my other VA coworkers. read more
