Scots 1748, as the name suggests, is a very traditional shop for fine clothing, aimed at an older market. I came here shopping for my mother, since I know she likes their styles and quality, but normally baulks at their prices. I was hoping to get something on special, and specials there indeed were, but they only brought a three-quarter sleeve knitwear top down to $139. Still a little pricey for me!
They sell a brand called Vima, "The Cashmere of Cotton", and this is true. It's a beautifully soft, knitted cotton that makes lovely clothing.
The styles in here are very conservative, in both style and colour, which is again to be expected. I went away with nothing, sadly barred by the excessive pricetags. read more
