The tree put two holes in the roof that were leaking into the house. I called my insurance company and then called Big Timber (our first time needing a tree service), they were already on a job but committed to come out to to take a look at the mess. At 10pm they were here checking out the tree and the damage. Because the tree was so big and was on the second level roof a crane would be needed to keep from further damaging our house. By 9am this morning the crane and the team were here and working on the job. An hour and a half later they were finished. The tree was gone. My yard was cleaned up of every twig as if nothing happened. My roof was covered in a tarp which was fortunate because it's raining again as I type this review. There's not much more I can say, Denny and his crew did great and fast work exactly when I needed it. Don't hesitate to give them a call.

I called Denney and he made no effort to look at what they did to my other trees and when I questioned him when they were going to be stump grinding, Denney says 'oh, was that a part of the service'. Everything was done on a handshake with Denney - he is local, good reputation, but never again. If you do use Big Timber, get EVERYTHING in writing and make sure Denney is there in your presence at the beginning of the work to make sure his guys know the job. Recommend you NEVER pay them until Denney comes to inspect the final work either.

I was told he would go by and provide me a quote by Friday. Come Friday EOD, I hadn't received and so I called to follow up. He said they had a spat of recent storms that caught him up - which is completely reasonable - and that he'd head there on Saturday. Saturday EOD comes and I don't hear back. My husband reaches out to say hey, if you're just too busy please just let us know because we have a timeline we just have to work within. He calls back and says I didn't make it today, I'll go tomorrow (Sunday). Sunday comes and he sends us a text message at 7 am (we're on PST, which he knows) asking for the address, which I provided the previous three times I spoke to him. We didn't get the message until 11:30 am when we first went to our phones for the day. We text back the address and he says "I'll pass. I was up there earlier today", like I missed the chance to work with him. But I provided the address three times. He missed his own timing estimate three times. But I'm the one who catches his attitude? I'm pretty shocked at this. It seems others have had better experiences but this certainly wasn't a good one.
