They recommended the expected "By the book" repairs but because they were very reasonable on all their estimates, I was able to do the full bank of repairs without having to debate what details we could do without and get away with. Both Chat GPT and the dealer said that quote was overinflated and ridiculous. so I decided after feeling scammed to call and demand my truck be ready for pickup right as I returned home. When I got back to the shop again now wasting 8 hours of my day, they said my truck wouldnt start. they then charged me $200 for diagnostic chat gpt and dealer said should have taken 30 min to diagnose and only cost $300 and 2 hrs of labor. Then they charged me $200 to tow it to the dealer I bought it from that after one day made my warranty claim work as it should and cover the entire issue And said I was profiled and targeted. This shop is a bunch of crooks so take your diesel anywhere but here! I want my money back for all the time wasted for nothing and nothing but lies and wasted money. I will never go back to this shop, stay away!

I am not a mechanic, but here is why I recommend Lowetech to ALL of my friends without reservation. I took my car for an oil change (at one of the chain oil change places) and they gave me the usual laundry list of services my car needed. A couple of them seemed fairly serious, so I took it in to Lowetech and said, "The oil change place said I need this, and you guys don't charge as much as they do. I need to get this done." Dan laughed and said, "We'll check it and see." They checked and said there was no problem with my car. I walked in, ready to pay, and they said, "No issues here. No charge". I got my car hung up on a driveway leaving a driveway with a drop off I did not see. Had to have a tow truck lift me off the curb so I was concerned about damage under my car. Took it to Lowetech and they put it up on the lift, checked it, said "No issues and no charge." Last story. I had a Chevy Malibu with a leaking radiator. I tried to pour sealant in to fix it without reading/understanding the very clear instructions, "Do not use this product if you fill your radiator from the overflow tank." Needless to say, I caused some damage to my car. Lowetech quoted me a price and went to work. Short version: one problem led to another on my car, and it took much longer to work on/fix than expected. I was prepared to pay MUCH more in labor charges, but they honored their original price. The only reference I have for price/value is what the oil change places, and dealership quote me (when I go in for recall work). Lowetech is always WAY cheaper. But the most important thing to me is integrity. So what if they are $50 cheaper than the place down the street if they are telling me/charging me for services I don't need. The Lowetech guys are men of integrity. I will continue to take my cars and send my friends there, gladly associating my name with their work.
