Located within the heart of Cramlington this is a popular place to shop with a good selection of…read morestores. I say good, not excellent, as there are a few gaps - it could do with a book/DVD/CD store as the selection in the supermarkets is limited to current hits and new releases. There are toilets in Sainsburys, by the exit near Johnsons the dry cleaners and down near Asda. Of the three, I recommend avoiding the ones near Asda as they often smell unpleasant! The car parking is free, with plenty of spaces at the Sainsbury and the Asda end, but the car parks are regularly patrolled and there is a three hour time limit and a no-return policy. Mind you don't get caught out as they do enforce it! ATMs are spread through the centre - Sainsburys, Barclays and the Co-op have machines outside and inside Northern Rock, HSBC, Halifax and Lloyds have them so you're never far from one. At the time of writing the centre is decorated for Christmas and Santas's postbox is popular with the children!

There is a medium sized ASDA and Sainsburys store and due to be a M&S simply food opening in 2014. There is 80 shops overall in the mall. The shops are fairly good there is the usual Greggs, boots, HSBC, Barclays and other well known retailers. The mall has not been able to keep up with the times though. Unfortuntaly it feels rather dated, South mall is newer though and more modern. However it's encouraging that the old Focus/B&M store has been knocked down and going to be a large shopping complex, M&S, Dunlem mill, PCworld/Currys coming soon. So in conclusion, fairly good mall nothing like metro centre or Eldon square but perfectly adqate.

It was known as intu Eldon Square between 2013 and 2020 but following the collapse of intu, it has returned to its original name of Eldon Square. At the time of writing, Eldon Square is the 15th largest shopping centre in the country in terms of retail size, there is a much larger shopping centre, Metrocentre around a 10-15 minute drive away, but despite being smaller, I prefer Eldon Square, I still think the mall is a good size and it just seemed to have a better atmosphere, being in the city centre too rather than a soulless out of town mall. The mall has a great number of stores and brands including anchor retailers Fenwick, John Lewis and Marks and Spencer. Other brands located here include Apple, Boots, H&M, Next, Rituals and the major mobile phone/telecommunications networks. For food and drink, you have the likes of Starbucks, Nando's, Pizza Express, Ask Italian, Wagamama and TGI Fridays. The mall staff were friendly, and while there wasn't really anyone dotted around the mall, the help desk was easily to find so I could seek assistance finding a store. The layout of the mall is a little confusing and I think makes it seem bigger than it actually is - it can be quite a trek from the Bus Station to the Apple end of the mall. I do think the stores do shut a little early for the centre of a big city, between Monday and Saturday, the mall shuts at 7 pm, with some stores shutting as early as 6 pm including John Lewis. Thursday is an exception, where all stores tend to remain open until 8 pm, and Sunday is bound by Sunday trading laws so there's not much they can do there. 4* -

Fenwick as a brand has 8 locations across the country and was founded here in Newcastle Upon Tyne. This location is their flagship. The store has entrances on street level (Northumberland Street) as well as entrances from the mall. The store is open until 7 pm on most days, although opening hours can vary, this means they're generally open an hour later than John Lewis, which is the mall's other main department store. The store is fairly attractive, with modern and older parts and the selection again is reasonable. The renovation is starting to show which is ongoing to celebrate the store's 140th anniversary. The Food Hall area reminded me a little of a smaller version of Harrods, pricey for sure but they had a variety of items appearing to be high-quality, including some meats which looked of a fantastic quality. I much prefer the technology section at John Lewis nearby, however - although Fenwick for sure wins on the Food Hall side of things. 4*

There lovely cakes, food, tea, coffee, it's wonderful and I always have a pleasant experience there. The groceries are lovely. They have home brands and proper brands. I love the sainsburys finest, it is posh yet affordable and lovely. My husband seems to love Sainsburys basics- the cover is boring I guess, but they are so cheap and delicious! Example; pack of choc chip cookies- 40p! Kids got homework...no nightmares anymore! My eldest daughter (11) has started high and she has to do a lot of craft work, so I can just stop buy and get paints and card. Also my two kids (5&7) loved it when I come back with an art project like a wooden dinosaur set ( they sell them for only £2, my kids loved it!) ive bought storage boxes, candles, my house is slowly getting better day by day...

The selection of drinks is limited, the pricing was quite good, they mainly sold cans and things like that however, I'm normally a person who prefers drinks in bottles, plastic or glass rather than cans which I find to be a frustrating mess. The store its-self had some items for decent value, some for not, and some items which in my opinion were just junk. There was a decent amount of space in the store for movement, a little more than the average Pound Shop normally has which was decent. The location is also good being inside the bus station making it one of the easier places to grab a drink before you get on the bus, with prices probably cheaper than Waitrose nearby, albeit a poorer selection and a greater selection than Boots also in the same building, which only sells Coca Cola in Diet and Regular, unless you go up onto the main level of the store. Location mainly earns an extra star, this store deserves two stars in my opinion as it is okay, yet in all below average and the stores slight modern features and location at least warrant a two star rating.

Funny aren't I ;) but seriously, I have heard people asking sales assistants how much things are Anyway, Poundland do sell some absolute rubbish but there also diamonds to be found. They sell loads of computer components that sell for £8+ in other shops. they sell tons of branded cosmetics (I saw Rimmel foundations and eye pencils last time I was in) and shampoos that are £2 elsewhere so are worth stocking up on! Also they have lots of things that would make awesome stocking fillers for kids and their friends, such as Bratz and Harry Potten moneyboxes which sell for £5+ elsewhere. Their decorations are good quality too, and cheap and cheerful - important given the current financial climate as you need to stretch the pennies! So many people are snobby and shun these kinds of shops for selling tat, but if you actually keep your eyes peeled you can save a lot of money by shopping there for your toiletries and other home essentials.

This store is located on Northumberland Street in a fairly decent location in the city centre of Newcastle Upon Tyne. The store is over four floors, with Women's on the Ground Floor, Mens in the "Basement" and a Costa Coffee store with the Kids range and Customer Services on the upper/second floor. The staff around the store seemed average, perhaps less helpful than other branches, however. A decent store in a decent location - hence the reason I'm struggling to rate this place, yet sadly due to some slight issues with product range, slight issues with service not being as good as other Primark branches and issues with the overall feel of the store in parts, the lifts also were an issue for me, I feel this store only deserves a medium to high two-star rating at best.

It opened in 2012 to replace the old BHS and it has proven popular with Newcastle because it's always jam packed. The basement has the menswear department which is pretty large. I can always find something I like on this floor. The ground and first floors are both taken up by the womenswear but the second floor has the amazing Primark home section, accessories and a Costa, which you can head to if you want to escape the crowds of the main store. Even though it does get VERY packed, the store is very spacious, so it doesn't really feel busy. The escalator arrangement is complete and utter pants. You have to go to the other side of the store to get to the next one in the set, what rubbish! Also the elevators (even though there is lots of them) feel like they are always flooded with people. It has a good layout, it is pretty generous in size, mens department is big and it has a coffee shop, so what is not to like about Primark Newcastle?

Sadly, (and per multiple online consumer reviews), numerous customers have been victim to Jules B's unprofessional, unacceptable, and unlawful merchant actions inclusive of their failure to issue rightful refunds and/or ensure delivery and receipt of purchased merchandise. Moreover, it appears that Jules B continues to demonstrate non-compliance with nationally and E Commerce designated policies and protocols specific to seller actions and consumer rights as well as a lack of "accountability" for shipment related issues and non-receipt of goods. Further, shipment and delivery related issues are the seller / sender's onus (not receiver's) whether in a customs setting, other shipment environment, or postal facility. Therefore, consumers are at risk for a problematic transaction with Jules B due to their disconcerting business practices, non-compliance with nationally designated and E Commerce seller policies, lack of merchant accountability, honesty, and integrity, and violation of consumer rights. Victims of Jules B unscrupulous actions and/or refusal to issue a rightful refund or take ownership for an undelivered shipment can initiate a refund request via their credit card company. USA based customers can also submit a consumer rights violation complaint to the Federal Trade Commission (FTC). (REFER TO ATTACHED PHOTO FOR JULES B RESPONSE TO MY COMMENTS) (4-26-23) Response to Jules B comments: Jules B disingenuous reply depicts their company's ongoing failure to take merchant responsibility for customer related issues inclusive of inquiring about significantly delayed delivery of a package allegedly going through a customs process. Furthermore, I was informed by a customs representative that it is the seller / sender's onus (not receiver) to initiate an inquiry into a problematic or delayed customs clearance. Additionally, the customs agent indicated that the package may have incomplete or missing merchant paperwork, a non-legible shipping label that was damaged in transit, and/or was lost in their system. Unfortunately, following my request to investigate this matter, Jules B refused to do so nor ensure the delivery of my order. Hence, Jules B's comment that there's nothing they can do while the package is in customs depicts their ongoing manipulative pattern of avoiding seller responsibility, unethical and unacceptable business practices, unsatisfactory customer service, and violation of consumer rights! Thus, I have escalated this matter to my credit card company and requested a full refund due to Jules B egregious actions and my continuing non-receipt of purchased merchandise.
