I was at the Scooters on 2027 Santa Fe Street in Olathe Ks and received the worst service ever Furst set at the intercom for 10 minutes while the was laying on the counter talking to the car at the window! She seen us so she knew we were there. Got to window and she informed us the speaker was broke! No sign on it and she stated it was against policy to put a sign on it! Did not apologize at all!!! I've been going to this location for several years. Unfortunately it's a hit or miss. I always get the same drink and each time I go it tastes different. It's been to the point where I've spoken to the manager. I don't know about anyone else but a $8 drink is a treat. To top things off they absolutely will not take a $50 bill, regardless of how much your order is. Over time this location has gone down hill. I will say the customer service is good. This is more a coffee drive through, than a coffee shop, with no apparent indoor seating and no exit during the busy morning rush. That leaves you to pull around through a drive through on the west side of the building and get stuck in line, when the store is out of the one thing you wanted to get... ok, to be fair, that sometimes can't be helped, and I've only gotten stuck once...sitting there with people behind me and in front... staring at the menu and trying to find words to replace the drink order I was expecting to get. I mean, what are the low carb options if all the have is milk...and the folks in front of me move up.. order something. Anything. Or just sheepishly move through the line... I'm pretty sure the truck behind me was getting impatient, even though they didn't move or honk or give any indication of dissatisfaction with my lack of progress. But you know, you get a sense of things, right? So my brain blurted out and order. Well. Half and half or a breve is not on the plan, but that's what I ordered after the many many many seconds of panic. Probably derailed my entire meal plan :-(. Add an extra shot to lessen the damage... This was my first visit. The service was great. The oatmeal was runny and watery. Left a lot to be desired. The sausage burritos are not what I expected. It was like a microwave burrito that was heated up and runny. The iced tea was not sweet at all. The blended mocha was not terrible but I definitely like Mcdonalds breakfast burritos. Went here for the first and last time a few days ago , pulled up to order just wanted a medium extra hot chai I was surprising my mom with a nice drink (she's a busy ER nurse) the gal at the window had a nasty attitude and an even nastier attitude when I paid cash and kept my .76 cents I don't have a lot of cash or money myself just doin smthn nice for my mom not lookin to pay $6+ for a medium drink to someone that had a nasty attitude to begin with ! I'm a fan of Scooter's. Nothing against larger, more well-known chains, but Scooter's just makes a better macha latte. It's sweet but not too much so, and the macha flavor is more robust than I've enjoyed at other places. I've never had poor service at a Scooter's. Although Scooter's coffee house isn't new to the area, it was new to me. I swung thru the drive thru which is the only option. The barista was friendly and knowledgeable. I wasn't sure if I should try my standard drink or try one of their more unique drinks like a green tea smoothie. I wasn't feeling brave so I just ordered my usual. Their menu has many options that include brewed coffee, espresso drinks, and smoothies. They also have pastries like muffins, cake and scones. Then they also have two breakfast sandwiches and two deli styles. Really I didn't think Scooter's was anything super special or unique. I do appreciate the location and I enjoyed my drink so I'm sure I'll be back as it's along my route for work. If you haven't been the give it a try. read more

I love Scooters. I use to stop in the one in Merriam all the time on my way to work and no will pop into the one in Olathe on occasion. They make a mean Chi Tea Latte with Soy, and it is heaven in a cup. They usually aren't to busy and easy to get in and out of, I love the drive thru concept it just seems faster than going in. They have never messed an order up for me and do a great job. They are friendly and make syrup suggestions if I can't decide what flavor of latte on what if I don't do chi. They make a nice mocha too. read more

So, I went to the location near Sante Fe and Antioch. That location does not have their own yelp page to review, hence reviewing here. So this does not reflect an experience at the location in Olathe. However, I am sure since it's a chain and the issue I experienced was related to the food, I am sure it's probably the same situation for all Scooter's locations. The good: I got an iced coffee, which was good. Good flavor, just the right amount of sweetness, not overly iced, it was what I would expect it to be. The bad: I also purchased a vegetarian breakfast burrito for $3.25. This burrito quite disappointing. It looked and tasted like one of the small frozen burritos you would buy at the grocery store. What I received was a small burrito, stuck to the edge of the paper sack I received it in, with hard tortilla edges (probably from being microwaved), and the burrito filling had a weird gritty texture to it, from being mostly egg and potato mixed together with a tiny bit of onion. I guess technically it qualifies as being vegetarian, but usually a vegetarian burrito has more than 3 ingredients... Anywhere else you would go for a quick breakfast burrito, I think you would find this on their dollar menu. TLDR: Good coffee, but the food is struggling to be rated as decent for what you pay for it. I could literally go 2 blocks over, pay the same amount for a breakfast burrito at a fast food place: it would be twice the size the one I received, as well as "freshly" (as fresh as you can expect from fast food) made rather than just a frozen burrito that was microwaved to warm it up. If I could give 0 stars I would... applied online and was contacted for an interview. I show up to the location when it's pouring down rain only to find out the manager wasn't there and she decided to cancel ALL remaining interviews. The funny part is she didn't even bother to send an email or make a phone call notifying that interviews where no longer going to be conducted. This location is a joke and is a poor reflection on the company as a whole. Spend your hard earned money somewhere else and not on an establishment that doesn't even have common human decency. read more

Seriously there baristas make gooooood nonfat coffee

This location consistently runs out of staple products, including coffee itself. The coffee is often served cold after sitting in the container for hours without being refreshed. Although the baristas are usually friendly, they make mistakes much more frequently than what should be acceptable. I do think that when a Scooter's runs properly, the coffee is superior to Starbucks and many other chain cafes. The problem is that the coffee is often tainted by a bad experience at this location. read more

I have frequented the Scooter's on College and Antioch and off Woodland and never had a bad experience. I've tried this new location in Olathe three times and have never had success. The first time I went I ordered a scone and it was cold (as in just came out of the fridge.) The second time my daughter and I went and each ordered a chai - hers iced, mine hot. Hers had so much cinnamon sprinkled on top she said it was like taking the cinnamon challenge. My medium was so full of foam I came home and poured the liquid into a measuring cup: only 8 oz of chai, one cup, or what I'm guessing is usually a small. The third time I waited in line for 15 minutes before the "barista" could take my order, because apparently she was the only one inside. Another 10 minutes to get my drink (chai no foam this time.) Taste is OK, and while the employee was very nice, it doesn't seem hygienic to have someone with picked off fingernail polish working with food and drink. I don't mind the dyed hair or the tattoos, but the holes in her ears from removed plugs weren't very pleasant. This location needs additional training, more employees, or some sort of assistance that can make it as good as the other locations. Until then, I'll have to seek out another place for my drinks. read more

I used to be such a fan of this place, I came almost everyday. Lately though I have had a lot of trouble. The new manager seems incompetent and never seems to know what's going on or how to handle situations. A couple of the girls have been very rude to me also and my drinks have not tasted like they used to. Definitely not as good as they were in the past. Another thing is they have been extremely slow. Most days I will wait in line for almost 15 minutes for only one drink. I am very disappointed at the way this place has been for the past couple months. read more
