Loved our Vespa tour of Rome with these two smart, handsome, polite young men. The ride was so educational and informative. Five stars!

One of our favorite afternoons in Rome was on the Ape Calessino tour. Everything from booking to the very last minute of our trip, was seamless with Scooteroma. Giovanni was extremely helpful getting our reservation all confirmed and our tour guide, Marco, was the best. Marco taught us so much about the city as we cruised along and made sure to stop and take photos of us along the way, which was very kind. I'd definitely recommend to any of our friends and make sure to request Marco!

    Beautiful streets!

The experience was perfect from start to finish! The tour was amazing. We had so much fun and are so happy we got to see Rome this way. Alessio And Enrico were fantastic!!! Communication from Giovanni was always quick and he gave great details before the tour. I was so impressed with their knowledge and how good the presentation of the city. Alessio was so knowledgeable and really helped us understand the importance of Rome's history. Enrico was able to help with the tour providing the same info during the tour as Alessio was giving to my husband. I can't say enough about how enjoyable this tour was on our first day in Rome! Tr

Quick stop at Aventine Hill for photos and rest.

Scooteroma was SUPERB! Our Vespa private tour was probably the highlight of our two week Italian vacation so I highly recommend it. Scooteroma even helped us with a private tour of Pompeii! Both our guides were professional and very knowledgeable so you are in good hands.

You HAVE to do this tour!! We did the "classic" vespa tour. It was basically like hanging out with your really smart Italian friend. This is the best way to see all of Rome, especially if you're only there for a few days like we were. Our tour guide (Alessio) was awesome. We met him at the Vespa rental shop (Bruno was so nice too!) and it was a super easy process. Alessio also provided us with a map of recommendations for restaurants, bars, etc.

This was hands-down the best decision I made about our trip to Italy! Annie and Giovanni were terrific. Giovanni was my contact before our trip - he was responsive, helpful, and patient. Annie and Cristiano were our two drivers and they were AMAZING. I brought my 14-year old daughter to Italy last month and this was her favorite part of our trip (and we did a lot of cool stuff). I like to know the lay-of-the-land when I visit a new place and this was the perfect way to see the city -- an up close, personal, guided tour on our first afternoon. My daughter and I both felt completely safe on the backs of their Vespas, scooting along the streets past incredible sites that we were going to see later that week. Annie + Cristiano made it very personalized, taking us to see specific places that were interesting / important to us (e.g. street art, Jewish Ghetto), in addition to all the main tourist sites (e.g. Coloseo). We stopped every 15 mins or so to take a break and hear all about the area around us. My biggest concern was how the rest of our trip would possibly compare to this fantastic experience on the very first afternoon we were there. I have to add that Annie was a wonderful resource -- recommending other places for us to see during the rest of our stay, restaurants to go to, the best gelato places, neighborhoods to visit. She and Cristiano actually marked up our map of Rome with all of their ideas and suggestions, tailoring it to what they knew about us and our interests. Later on, we visited all the main sites they'd shown us (e.g. Vatican, Colloseum, Roman Forum, etc.) and in every tour group when we heard about certain things, we thought, "Oh yeah - we saw that!" or "Right - we were there and heard all about that". What we'd learned from Annie + Cristiano was consistently more in-depth than what we heard from the guides INSIDE the actual sites we'd driven past. I recommended Scooterama to everyone we met. Best best money I've ever spent on a trip and they deserved every penny.

This tour was fabulous!!! Our tour guides Dominico (Mimmo), Donato, and Fabrizio were friendly, professional and most of all fun!!! They were knowledgable about history and took us to places we would not have seen if we had not booked this tour!! I have been to Rome twice before, and this was one of the most fun tours I have ever been on!! I am so glad my friend booked this tour! I highly recommend it!! You will not be disappointed!!! AMAZING!!

    Homage to Pier Paolo Pasolini

I must admit, I was a bit apprehensive about riding around through the bustling city of Rome with nothing but air between our bodies and the pavement, but as soon as I hopped on the back of Annie's Vespa my anxiety melted away, and I was completely immersed in the experience. And what a liberating and exhilarating experience it was! Annie and Michele's friendly and fun manner combined with the fascinating history they shared with us was more than we could have imagined. Although I am sure we would have enjoyed taking a walking tour of some of the street art in Rome on our own like we had planned, my husband happened upon the Scooteroma website, and we are so fortunate that he did. With the tour we were able to understand some of the meaning behind each piece and learn a bit about the history where each was located. And we also had the opportunity to see works we would have never found on our own. It was a really rich adventure all the way around. Annie and Michele also gave us interesting information about the different neighborhoods in the city as well as excellent restaurant recommendations. We tried 4 of their dining suggestions actually, and each was outstanding. We look forward to trying another Scooteroma tour the next time we are in Rome!

Easily one of the highlights of our trip!…read more We really hesitated in renting because of reviews online and the shops seemed to not push you to rent if you were uncomfortable, rather they continuously asked if you've driven before and warn you of the safety of it. I had only been on a Vespa twice before so choosing the 50cc was the best choice for me and my friend. The scariest thing is not driving the machine but navigating it through traffic. And I only say scary to those that are hesitant drivers. Italiens have places to go and be so drive with the flow of traffic and make sure you know where you're going and GO! The owners were really really kind and helpful and answered all the questions we had. I intend on visiting Rome again and I will 100% rent from the same business if I have the opportunity!

Originally,…read moreI thought their representations were "accidental" but they consistently have issues with (1) availability of the product you reserve - when you show up they tend to have less powerful models that do not have enough power to move with traffic in busy Rome; (2) their equipment is older and god knows they do not even disinfect their helmets so bring your own or don't rent from them in the Covid-19 age; and (3) when they say they will credit you for the issues, don;t count on it. They wouldn't honor it with me and Visa would not even address the issues because the company makes you sign their agreement which then negates the ability to contest charges with Visa. As an alternative another disgruntled customer let me know of another company that is right by the Termini station. i tried them and I like them a lot. They have a better selection and are reasonably forgiving if you are a few minutes late to return as it can sometimes be hard to meander your way around Rome's streets. Best part, they are only about 1/2 mile from "My Vespa". If you search scooter rentals termini you should find the other place.

We spent about a week in Rome last month and booked three guided tours: one for Vatican City, one…read morefor the Forum and Colosseum, and this one with Top Bike Rental and Tours, built around the ancient Appian Way. Of the three, the bike tour was the longest and the least mandatory, for lack of a better word. It was also one of the best things we did on our entire vacation. I picked this tour because it was highly rated on various travel sites and my husband Matt B. is an avid cyclist. It was a six-hour, 17-mile tour of Appian Way, the Catacombs of Saint Calixtus, and the Park of the Aqueducts, 9AM to 3PM with a stop for a casual lunch. I booked it for our one Sunday in Rome, when Appian Way would be closed to car traffic. We went to Top Bike on Sunday morning, which looked like a comprehensive bike rental joint in addition to a tour company. It was a big place, and there were a few small groups gathering, all us tourists getting assigned bikes and guides. We had the great luck of landing in Nima's group, with three other couples. He gave us a brief, informative orientation and we were on our way. I didn't really know what to expect from this tour (my fault/laziness, not theirs) and had been a bit apprehensive about the amount of biking involved. I'd never ridden an e-bike before, and if I had, I would not have been worried. I wouldn't even say we got exercise on that 17-mile ride. The only challenging part was the uneven terrain of Appian Way. I could see that being an issue for small children or frail seniors, but otherwise anyone who can pedal and balance can go on this tour. And they absolutely should. The tour was incredible. Nima was a wonderful guide, so warm and knowledgeable and conscientious. It can't be easy leading a bunch of bumbling tourists on e-bikes, many of them retirees, on a route that takes them through city streets. But he was great, responsible and watchful while we rode. He was equally impressive as a tour guide, imparting a wealth of knowledge at every stop. We stopped frequently, seeing, among other jaw-dropping sights we pedaled right past, the Basilica Santi Giovanni e Paolo, the Mausoleo di Cecilia, and the Chiesa di San Nicola a Capo di Bove. Nima told us about the gates and walls leading into Rome, and the Baths of Caracalla, which we waved at as we crossed the street a quarter-mile away. The three main attractions were as advertised, and we started with the catacombs tour, an optional add-on that I would definitely recommend. (You can book a four-hour version of the same tour that skips the catacombs, but hey, when in Rome.) Nima and Top Bike weren't involved in this leg, other than buying the tickets and getting us there, but it was fantastic, very worth our while. The catacombs were on Appian Way, which was apparently the place to be buried if you had money and status in ancient Rome. The heart of our tour took us along this road, over 2,000 years old and still in remarkable condition. We biked over stones marked with grooves from chariot wheels. We stopped for a casual lunch that was much better and less haphazard than I'd expected, at a pay-by-weight pizzeria called Pizza Gege. Then we went to the Park of the Aqueducts. I didn't know anything about Roman aqueducts, and when I booked this tour, I was only mildly curious why we'd be visiting a park devoted to them. Turns out aqueducts are a quintessential part of ancient Roman city planning and architecture. They're astonishing and beautiful, and I'll remember biking among them for the rest of my life. I know there's a lot to see in Rome, and a six-hour tour outside the city center might seem like a big commitment. But the Top Bike Rentals Appian Way tour is an A+++ excursion. I'd recommend it to anyone, visiting for any amount of time.
