Filled with knowledge and details and was able to answer every single question. I felt like I received a BA in ancient Roman Jewish history by the time my few hours was over. Loved every minute of it and can't wait to return to learn more about other aspects of the gorgeous city which is rich with Jewish history that dates back to 161 BCE, well before the start of Christianity.

Marco's knowledge of these areas is unbelievable. There was no language barrier. He spoke in clear English (with a charming Italian accent). The tours were anything but dry history lectures. Marco brought ancient history alive and kept us, and our 3 sons (a toddler, a tween, and a young adult) fully engaged. Marco was a wonderful resource and offered much appreciated assistance beyond our scheduled tours. He seemed genuinely happy to make our trip run smoothly. Marco helped us save time and money by assisting with advanced ticket purchases to the Vatican, Forum, and Colosseum; He advised us on restaurants (even making recommendations on what to order!); He suggested museums and sites that we should visit; He put us in touch with a driver for airport transfers and even recommended a wonderful guide for a private tour in Florence. Having Marco show us Rome was like touring the city with an old (and extremely knowledgeable!) friend. Our only regret was not booking more tours with this fantastic guide, I cannot recommend Marco highly enough! You will not be disappointed!

Wanting to learn the history of our destination and maximize our time wisely, we found overome tours on google and were not disappointed with the service we received from start to finish. Our tour guide for the colosseum and Ancient Rome tour, Issa, was polite, professional and patient with all of our questions. Our second tour-the Vatican wonders tour with Salvatore did not disappoint! If we want to book more tours we will absolutely come back to this company! Our group was a very good size versus the many other tours we saw that had MASSIVE amounts of people-this made digesting the information that much easier!

The sight she, sounds, and smells or Rome are fantastic, but our tour was even better because of our tour guide, Val. Not only is he a tour guide born in Rome but he spent some time in the U.S. and was able to talk us about how the cultures vary and his English is perfect. He is also an architect so he was able to on give us some great facts that no other guide could. He stopped when we needed to stop and even showed us things that weren't even suppose to be on the tour. He made the day amazing and I'd highly recommend Overome.

The company is clearly much less beloved on Yelp, but my experience more than met my 4.7-star expectations. The Colosseum tour package starts at $45 a person for a basic English language tour with a large group. We went a few tiers up for a small group tour with arena floor access, and this cost us a little over $100 each, and included all tickets and fees. It was easily worth the money. The tour added a ton of value to our day of sightseeing. We met our guide Andrei at the Crown Tours office and got set up with handy audio sets, so we could hear him clearly throughout the tour. We were a small group, something like eight of us, and it was easy to get around together. The tour was around two-and-a-half hours long and entailed a good deal of walking, none of it was particularly difficult. We started at the Forum, then went to Palatine Hill, and ended at the Colosseum. A manageable, logical itinerary. Andrei was an excellent guide, knowledgeable and enthusiastic. The tour was deeply engaging and educational. What a treat to learn about the Colosseum while seated inside the arena. I gather from other reviews that not all guides are created equal, but we were very happy with Andrei. I can't speak to Crown's other offerings, but I'd highly recommend the Colosseum, Roman Forum & Palatine Hill Guided Tour. It's a wonderful way to enjoy these marvels of ancient Rome.

We happened to go on a Sunday where they actually allow free entry into the colosseum, therefore the line was much longer than normal to enter. Although you can enter for free they still conduct tours throughout the shortened open time for the day. If you enter for free you do not have a tour guide, you simply have access to walk around yourself without guidance. The tour guides and different companies walk around the outside trying to persuade each tourist into taking a walking tour through the colosseum. I would highly recommend taking the tour it is most definitely worth the 20 euros a person they charge. When buying a tour through the company you get to skip the "free entry" line and enter almost with no wait. They split you into small groups with about 10-12 people in each group (separating the groups by desired language), leading you first through security to keep the building secure then into a waiting room where you wait for the rest of you tour group to come through. Your tour guide then leads the group to several stops through the colosseum, while informing you of the rich history and very interesting knowledge not easily accessible to the public. Throughout the tour we stopped periodically so that you could walk around the area presented and take it all in before learning about what you see. You proceed to the second level where there is a gift shop and covering to escape any unwanted weather. After making a few more stops through the colosseum you stop on the top level where many people take advantage of the view and snap some pictures. The tour ends on this level and you are able to explore for any amount of time you desire on the way back down. This gives the tourist a chance to spend more time in certain places that the tour may have not spent much time on. There is not alternative way of transportation through the colosseum because of its state and age, only on foot. This, although inconvenient to some, is simply to keep the structure in the incredible condition it has been kept in for all these years. Our tour guide, Jean moorman, was very informative and was very cultured, able to speak four languages. This tour was by far one of the most interesting and intriguing tours I have ever been on. Our tour guide never failed to share facts that even after research were new information to us. Not only was he very informative but he had a good sense of humor and always had the group laughing. These tours seem to be a very important not only to the rich history of the city but to the people. Many local historians are employed here, seeing that it is such a famous, world-wide attraction to visit. These tours have a great impact on the tourist opening their minds to the beautiful history this city holds. If you ever get the chance to take this tour I would highly recommend it as would anyone else I know that have taken it.

I had only been on a Vespa twice before so choosing the 50cc was the best choice for me and my friend. The scariest thing is not driving the machine but navigating it through traffic. And I only say scary to those that are hesitant drivers. Italiens have places to go and be so drive with the flow of traffic and make sure you know where you're going and GO! The owners were really really kind and helpful and answered all the questions we had. I intend on visiting Rome again and I will 100% rent from the same business if I have the opportunity!

They wouldn't honor it with me and Visa would not even address the issues because the company makes you sign their agreement which then negates the ability to contest charges with Visa. As an alternative another disgruntled customer let me know of another company that is right by the Termini station. i tried them and I like them a lot. They have a better selection and are reasonably forgiving if you are a few minutes late to return as it can sometimes be hard to meander your way around Rome's streets. Best part, they are only about 1/2 mile from "My Vespa". If you search scooter rentals termini you should find the other place.
