From my experience they don't really listen to your problems or just don't care…read more I had them press rear bearings for me and when they did they seated them incorrectly, costing me over $1000 having my wheel hub replaced as well as the 2 lyndall sprocket it chewed up in the process. My fault cause I brought them the bearings apparently. when all that it needed was a rotor spacer $4 part. Not sure how with all the experience in the building that couldn't be deduced... their response was " as long as the rotors not rubbing it's fine" it wasn't anymore cause they pressed the bearings incorrectly.... Still my fault cause I supplied the bearings.... Then they put in a 1250 kit on my sportster in which every gasket leaked atleast twice and I was given some grief at the fact that I wanted a bike that didn't leak from the owner and push back. On top of that I'd been chasing a noise they refused to actually pay attention to and just gave me the run around every time I dropped it off. only to find out doing my own due diligence the bolts they removed to install the kit aren't torqued to spec. I wasn't charged for any of the additional gaskets needed however for the one job my bike saw their shop atleast 5 times that summer, not counting the time I had to re drop it off cause they didn't complete the service I requested. I originally had a better review posted but I'm still leaking oil from my base gasket on the rear cylinder and I'm having to go through my bike and make sure bolts on the drive train are actually tight and I'm constantly wondering what care was taken re building my rocker box's and the other internal parts if I have bolts on the outside loose. Shops beautiful, summers nice. Other than that my experience wasn't great and as it's known for being performance driven I expected to be taken care of much better and I shouldn't have ever even had any push back to having my bike fixed properly.

This is my second bike from Steel City Cycle, and once again they exceeded every expectation…read more I'd been searching for a 2005 CVO Fat Boy for years. When one came up at Steel City, I called right away and spoke with the owner. He was friendly and honest, and the price was fair enough that I bought it sight unseen. That's the kind of trust these guys earn. Steel City has very fair pricing and a wide selection. The team really knows their stuff, whether it's motorcycles, gear or maintenance. They take the time to answer questions and make sure you get what you need. What really sets them apart is how far they'll go for a customer. They helped me through financing and made the whole process easy. They even tracked down my bike's original seat, picked it up from the previous owner and had it ready when I arrived the next day. It's been a long time since a purchase felt this good. I have no buyer's remorse, just appreciation for a great team and a bike that means a lot to me. Thank you, Steel City. If you're looking for a motorcycle, gear or service, I highly recommend them.

Well apparently they never changed any of the rubber in that carb and it was dumping gas into the bowl because of a faulty float gasket.

Asked about helmets, armor, boots, etc. and everyone there was cool to talk to. Answered my questions and pointed me in a good direction. Bought the wrong size helmet, they let me get the next size up no questions no hassle. Their gear is very reasonably priced. I went in for boots and armor the other day, expecting the combo to cost me over $500. Ended up paying $360 for name brand boots, and a set of full upper body armor. The location is 45 minutes away from home, but I'll always go there when a new want / need comes up. Thanks gentlemen.

Got the bike back -- now it's leaking oil. Took it to an independent shop for a look. What he found (pic attached): the helicoil they installed is visibly crooked, and there were still metal shavings sitting in the oil pan. Filter was overtightened again. Called Vickery to discuss. Their response was essentially "that was our best guy, he double checks everything" with no explanation for the shavings or the crooked repair. No offer to cover the cost of having another shop redo their work. Just said they wished I'd brought it back again (why would I?). Will never let them touch anything I own ever again and would recommend you do the same. Plenty of other great shops around.

I contacted John at Moto Fix and gave a rough estimate just for the seal replacement and suggested if I wanted to save on labor cost I could remove the engine from the bike myself and just bring the engine in if I felt comfortable with doing that, which I did. Since the engine had to be completely disassembled I told John to do a "top end" and anything else that needs repairs, just keep me posted. John kept me updated and informed every step of the way. John is very meticulous and I feel he gave my bike the same care as if he was working on his own bike which is why I went to him in the first place because I don't much trust the big bike dealers repair shops. It did take a little time for John to get it done as he had a lot going on and he is basically a one man show but it was well worth the wait. The final cost with all extra work was very reasonable and slightly less than I was expecting

I've worked in lots of garages -- automobile and motorcycle -- and I have never seen anyone work like John. He is methodical AND quick. I expect to lean much harder on John in the future. Superb work by a master mechanic.

A bubble test showed that there was a leak and the air pressure went from 38 to 26 in a few hours time. I could still drive the car if I pumped up the right front tire every day. I got some great advice to take the car to Woody's Wheel works. They were able to repair the wheel today. The bent wheel is straight now and so far is holding Air pressure nicely. It would've cost me $1000 to get a new wheel. Woody's fixed it for 30% of that price! Recommended.
