Last night driving back home to Dallas I walked in and found 3 employees busy cleaning floors, counter food prep areas, and replenishing the yummy looking cookie displays. Music playing just puts you in a relaxed mood. Found little cups with lids full of tasty bites of their Cherry Fudge Pecan Cake. Who knew what a delicious treat these would be. Just like the name, rich fudge-like texture, perfect size pecan pieces, and bits of cherries throughout the sample. So very good. Grabbed a regular size 1lb 14oz- 7inch Original De Luxe Fruit Cake and small Pecan Fruit Cake to take home to add to our holiday dessert table. I did get some macaroons to snack on. Also tried the chocolate Praline, looked like a piece of thin lace. Both were very tasty. Everyone was so nice and helpful. I will be back. See you soon.

Parking is generally not a problem (meaning, the drive thru line doesn't block it, at least not when we've visited.) The (2-stall) women's bathroom has paper towels (my preference on a roadtrip) plus the Dyson hand dryer. (Husband reports no paper towels in the men's bathroom.) Even better, they make a decent cappuccino/latte the majority of the time. The little things add up here to a solid and reliable experience for us, worth the repeat visits.

We had been…read morethere a couple of times and definitely was not one of my favs, but we wanted to visit with them so we agreed to meet them. First time my wife and I visited Pettys it was packed and the second time it was fairly crowded as well. This night as we arrived at 5:30 on Friday evening, it was almost empty. While not my favorite in the first place, we ordered an app of onion rings to start with all of us ordering 2 piece orders of catfish. The waitress brought the onion rings after about a 30 minute wait. The order was a huge order but very dark and over fried. After the first few bites by each of the party, it had so much breading, you just couldn't eat them and no one did. The catfish plates immediately followed the onion rings which was disappointing as well. But the onion rings were so awful that it didn't matter. Our plates were delivered and expecting 2 nice pieces of catfish, each of us had 3-4 pieces of small over fried fish. I don't recall such a horrible meal ever. The onion rings were brought to the attention of the waitress and she just said the cook was new and not very good. Most of the waitresses were teenage girls with very little training and basically just shrugged it off. Needless to say, I will never step into this restaurant again and to be quite honest, fail to understand how it can remain operating ! Looking at the very sparse number of diners, it may be an indication on the direction of this restaurant.
