We stopped by here after a day of kayaking. This place was so cute. There's a lot of items to try. The ambience was casual and service was fast.

Let me start by saying that I am not an ice cream fan. I rarely crave it and when I do, I am picky. I don't just like any ice cream. I only tried one scoop here and it was enough to earn my 5 stars. I got the regular chocolate. It was heavenly. Creamy like a mousse, not too sweet, silky and just perfect. I wish I had space to try other flavors. Oh well, next time but try this and you won't regret. The staff were nice and friendly as well and let me try a couple of flavors which were also delicious.

Scoops La Jolla was so good. I got the cookie dough ice cream and it was amazing. They also have crepes and I tried the brown sugar cinnamon, which was a 12/10. The crepes are really big, making them perfect for sharing. The location is great. You can walk to the beach or grab a bite to eat nearby and then stop here for a sweet treat. Definitely worth a visit.

Excellent Vegan options, seven choices. Creamy and delicious you would never know it was vegan, as it taste like normal ice cream only healthier nine plant based milk. I highly recommend that chocolate fudge brownie and the cookies and cream. I can't wait to go back and try the other remaining flavors.

I liked that they offer samples, which was a nice touch. I also went during a non-peak time, so there were no lines. It's great that it's a local shop. I got a scoop of the chocolate fudge brownie, but it felt a bit doughy as I was eating it.

They serve VanLeewan ice cream!! After dinner walk led us right past Scoops and when I saw they served VanLeewan ice cream I knew we had to stop. My cousin had never tried V.L. and she loved each sample. She settled on two half scoops and was surprised at how big each was. I was disappointed the find their vegan flavors were out of stock and was told they've been put of stock for almost a month with no idea when they'd be back. Booo!! Thus the 4 stars. I settled for an almond milk latte and it was actually made very well. Although I didn't get what I was hoping for, I would still highly recommend stopping by Scoops, or better yet, make it a destination to try Van Leewen ice cream, you will not be disappointed!

Lowkey small portions and kinda pricy, basic flavors. Also their ice cream and kinda runny. I've had better.

We swung in to grab an ice cream cone, and enjoyed it on their patio, with great views of La Jolla... I tried their French Vanilla, and it was so good...and my husband raved about his flavor (??). I would also like to thank the rep who helped my husband get his Columbia jacket back!! He left the jacket in the patio chair...and called the shop to have it ready for ubereats to deliver it back to us. I was somewhat surprised it worked! So again, THANK YOU!

Great selection of ice creams in the beautiful La Jolla neighborhood in San Diego! They also serve crepes and shakes as well. I ended up getting the Cafe Latte Swirl and it was very creamy with a light coffee taste. The crepes are made fresh so can take a little bit of time if it is busy. Good service and nice spot!

Perfect cute little stop while walking around in La Jolla! Vegan Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough : soo good! Made with cashew & coconut milk, super creamy, doesn't even taste vegan! Banana Matcha: earthy flavor and the banana milk is made in house, does not have an artificial banana taste

good ice cream but nothing to write home about! service was slow but staff is kind. Seating out front. One split scoop in a cup comes out to $6.75.

Great ice cream and friendly service. Enjoyed speaking with the staff, they were young and respectful. Except that one girl from Michigan, who commented on our Ohio State T-shirt. lots of great free samples. Was nice to try them all before we actually had to commit.

This place has some tasty ice cream for sure! I opted for a milkshake with vanilla bean ice cream and cold brew. This thing was so amazing and the cold brew was soooo good. Service was fast and efficient with a steady group of people coming off the beach. Great little patio to sit and people watch while you eat your sweet treat!

From delicious food, to fresh produce, to the most gorgeous and vibrant flowers, to beautiful pottery, to unique clothes... you name it, they have it there! Make sure to come early as parking can be a bit tricky, especially if you want to park closer to the farmers' market. Once you get parked though, everything is a breeze. They even have tables and chairs around for people to eat at. There's also a playground for families who have little ones! I could never go to a farmers' market and leave without fresh flowers, so of course I had to pick up some from Hidalgo Flowers. They always have the most colorful and stunning arrangements, and for a decent price too. This time, I got a bunch with the prettiest sunflowers. We also picked up the sweetest and reddest strawberries from this one vendor. I highly regret not getting their name, but I will definitely be on the hunt for them the minute we go back. We got a cup of strawberries with some dark chocolate sauce from Strawberries and Chocolate. That was sooo good! We devoured it so quickly, we didn't even get to take a picture of it. One of the standouts for me was the Pork Sisig Rice from Baryo Eats. It was AHHHHMAZING!! It's the best kind of pork sisig that I love to eat--the taste was so good and nostalgic, it took me back to my college days back in the Philippines! HIGHLY RECOMMEND. We also got some Paella from Driana Catering/Taste of Spain. It was so flavorful and the rice was cooked to perfection. We were just sad they ran out of shrimp by the time we got some, so we were left with chicken only. We got some goodies from It's Cafe Thai as well--Milk Tea with Boba, Taro Thai Coffee, and the Mango Sticky Rice. All of them had just the right amount of sweetness and hit the spot for us. Lastly, we had some of the watermelon and the cucumber lemonade refreshers, and the chicken and pork tamales from Gourmet Tamales. They were so good, we even took some home for later! Overall, I'm already looking forward to the next Sunday we can stop by this farmers' market!

(Warning: this review contains a large amount of pupusa content)…read more What a treat! This Farmer's Market (and more like mini-foodtruck fest), is a foodie's dream! I went over the lunch hour in the first week of school opening and was met by a bustling and bussing crowd of fellow student food connoisseurs who were ready for a yummy treat! Altogether the lines were pretty manageable and as expected, you could tell where the good food was from the lines. One thing caught my eye expeditiously and that was the Pupusas stand! Y'all a stand whose sole dedication is to make sure you get freshly cooked, never frozen, filled with flavor and cheese pupusas. The central theme in all the pupusas, of course was the cheese - the options were chicken and cheese, spinach and cheese, pork and cheese and bean and cheese. As someone who could literally roll in pupas, I found the 2 that I ordered very filling (they're wider than your typical pupusas). They were so good! I definitely was almost pulled in other directions though with some pretty interesting contenders such as the Caribbean-themed stand with jerk and barbecued meats with some key Jamaican staples, the 'Torpasta' stand, which is a toasted bread FILLED TO THE BRIM with pasta and sauce, tonnes of burritos and a sambas stand. It may have been luck, but we found somewhere to sit despite the place being quite packed (probably people scarfing down their yummy food causing high table turnover - but who knows). I found the prices overall very fair and 'student-priced' - confirmed by the super long lines of students. I would recommend coming here if you are looking for yummy cooked food, but if you are hoping for rows and rows of locally-grown produce from your local farmers, this isn't quite the location for you - this would be the only potential downside - otherwise, I was a very happy camper and left with a belly full of pupusas and a new lease on the day! The other one had too much cream cheese too. All i tasted was rice and cream cheese. The staff were very friendly and attentive though. We didnt notice that we had dropped something on the floor and one of them picked it up for us. The restaurant itself is nice but as introverts, the two seater tables are very close to each other. The shell itself was nicely warm, had a soft texture with a thin layer of crispiness, making it hold together well, while still being easy to cut through with a plastic knife and fork. The filling was a thick spreading of Nutella, crumbled bits of Oreo Cookies, and mini-marshmallows heated until they were gooey. It was then folded, drizzled with more Nutella and sprinkled with powdered sugar. To add to the artistry of it, a single marshmallow and larger cookie chunk were placed on top. All in all, a beautifully well-made dessert. With my experience limited to the sweet side of the menu, I start with a fairly positive view of this place. The only downside I experienced was the wait for a single crepe to be made. It appeared to be only a single employee behind the counter, making the length of time between ordering, cooking, filling, and plating, a good 12+ minutes. If there had been a line, that could easily have stretched upwards of a half an hour or possibly affected the quality of the final product and tarnished this review. Coming down to UTC is not something I do often. Still, the chance to try something else off this menu is enticing enough to eventually try.
