I liked that they offer samples, which was a nice touch. I also went during a non-peak time, so there were no lines. It's great that it's a local shop. I got a scoop of the chocolate fudge brownie, but it felt a bit doughy as I was eating it.

Scoops La Jolla was so good. I got the cookie dough ice cream and it was amazing. They also have crepes and I tried the brown sugar cinnamon, which was a 12/10. The crepes are really big, making them perfect for sharing. The location is great. You can walk to the beach or grab a bite to eat nearby and then stop here for a sweet treat. Definitely worth a visit.

They serve VanLeewan ice cream!! After dinner walk led us right past Scoops and when I saw they served VanLeewan ice cream I knew we had to stop. My cousin had never tried V.L. and she loved each sample. She settled on two half scoops and was surprised at how big each was. I was disappointed the find their vegan flavors were out of stock and was told they've been put of stock for almost a month with no idea when they'd be back. Booo!! Thus the 4 stars. I settled for an almond milk latte and it was actually made very well. Although I didn't get what I was hoping for, I would still highly recommend stopping by Scoops, or better yet, make it a destination to try Van Leewen ice cream, you will not be disappointed!

We swung in to grab an ice cream cone, and enjoyed it on their patio, with great views of La Jolla... I tried their French Vanilla, and it was so good...and my husband raved about his flavor (??). I would also like to thank the rep who helped my husband get his Columbia jacket back!! He left the jacket in the patio chair...and called the shop to have it ready for ubereats to deliver it back to us. I was somewhat surprised it worked! So again, THANK YOU!

Great selection of ice creams in the beautiful La Jolla neighborhood in San Diego! They also serve crepes and shakes as well. I ended up getting the Cafe Latte Swirl and it was very creamy with a light coffee taste. The crepes are made fresh so can take a little bit of time if it is busy. Good service and nice spot!

Perfect cute little stop while walking around in La Jolla! Vegan Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough : soo good! Made with cashew & coconut milk, super creamy, doesn't even taste vegan! Banana Matcha: earthy flavor and the banana milk is made in house, does not have an artificial banana taste

good ice cream but nothing to write home about! service was slow but staff is kind. Seating out front. One split scoop in a cup comes out to $6.75.

Great ice cream and friendly service. Enjoyed speaking with the staff, they were young and respectful. Except that one girl from Michigan, who commented on our Ohio State T-shirt. lots of great free samples. Was nice to try them all before we actually had to commit.

This place has some tasty ice cream for sure! I opted for a milkshake with vanilla bean ice cream and cold brew. This thing was so amazing and the cold brew was soooo good. Service was fast and efficient with a steady group of people coming off the beach. Great little patio to sit and people watch while you eat your sweet treat!

Interior was super cute, small space (no seating inside, but there is seating outside). It's pretty cold though so bundle up! As having heaters would melt the ice cream lol! Although I love how this area at night time it is all lit up. Where Scoops is located is in a spot where cars can't drive down too. While we were inside, I found the workers to be kind and fun (dancing and friendly). The menu writing could have been a few cm bigger, but no problem. I tasted the cookies and cream (was good, creamy, and great amount of cookies). I ordered in a cup, one scoop, of BLACK CHERRY CHIP! It was great. Had a vibrant black cherry taste and the chips were a little excessive but good. I think it would be even better if the (chocolate) chips were thinner. It was missing the burst of cherry pieces, but it satisfied my cherry garcia/black cherry ice cream craving! Next time, I'd get one of their crepes. I think it would be great since after sunset it's pretty chilly out. Having some warmth in a bite would be lovely. They also had milkshakes, coffee, tea, and hot chocolate. My brother had the VEGAN OAT MILK CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIE DOUGH ice cream, one scoop, in a cup. He really enjoyed this as someone who's lactose intolerant. I tasted it and it has a really prominent oat milk base. Overall, happy with our ice creams and if we are in the area again.. we will stop by for dessert! I recommend this place.

Delicious treats and quick friendly service. The pistachio ice cream was fantastic, maybe one of the best I've had. Generous scoops and several vegan options. Outdoor dining on the sidewalk.

Haven't tried their ice cream yet! I came here to pick up an order of day old baked goods. The employee at Scoops was friendly and offered wonderful customer service since she was able to prepare my pick up order earlier, which was convenient to prevent me from being late for work. To your right as you walk into the ice cream shop there are some merchandise you can purchase. It's a cozy place but there are NO seats inside to enjoy your ice cream or baked goods.

Ice cream was amazing and it seemed pricy for $6 a scoop but it was so good! And for a second scoop it would $8 total so maybe that's a better option. The worker was very welcoming and was polite and let us know there would be a slight wait for milkshakes. She was very friendly. My wife enjoyed her cookies and cream milkshake. She said she would definitely get it again. Overall, amazing place and would definitely stop by again.

From delicious food, to fresh produce, to the most gorgeous and vibrant flowers, to beautiful pottery, to unique clothes... you name it, they have it there! Make sure to come early as parking can be a bit tricky, especially if you want to park closer to the farmers' market. Once you get parked though, everything is a breeze. They even have tables and chairs around for people to eat at. There's also a playground for families who have little ones! I could never go to a farmers' market and leave without fresh flowers, so of course I had to pick up some from Hidalgo Flowers. They always have the most colorful and stunning arrangements, and for a decent price too. This time, I got a bunch with the prettiest sunflowers. We also picked up the sweetest and reddest strawberries from this one vendor. I highly regret not getting their name, but I will definitely be on the hunt for them the minute we go back. We got a cup of strawberries with some dark chocolate sauce from Strawberries and Chocolate. That was sooo good! We devoured it so quickly, we didn't even get to take a picture of it. One of the standouts for me was the Pork Sisig Rice from Baryo Eats. It was AHHHHMAZING!! It's the best kind of pork sisig that I love to eat--the taste was so good and nostalgic, it took me back to my college days back in the Philippines! HIGHLY RECOMMEND. We also got some Paella from Driana Catering/Taste of Spain. It was so flavorful and the rice was cooked to perfection. We were just sad they ran out of shrimp by the time we got some, so we were left with chicken only. We got some goodies from It's Cafe Thai as well--Milk Tea with Boba, Taro Thai Coffee, and the Mango Sticky Rice. All of them had just the right amount of sweetness and hit the spot for us. Lastly, we had some of the watermelon and the cucumber lemonade refreshers, and the chicken and pork tamales from Gourmet Tamales. They were so good, we even took some home for later! Overall, I'm already looking forward to the next Sunday we can stop by this farmers' market!

That said, after being offered and happily trying two samples, which samples are becoming increasingly rare at ice cream shops these days, it was an easy decision. Fully leaning into vacation mode, I added Peanut Butter Cups and crushed Oreos on top, and I did not regret it for a second. For those who are a bit more calorie- or health-conscious, one thing I really appreciated is that if you want to try two flavors without committing to two full scoops, you can order two half scoops for the price of one full scoop. That was a first for me and honestly a model I wish more ice cream shops across the country would adopt. Cassandra helped us during our visit, and she was not only incredibly friendly but also offered great recommendations that left me extremely satisfied with my choices. Before, it was located at UCSD's Town Square, which I thought was pretty inaccessible for non-students. Now, it's located at the Epstein Family Amphitheatre, which is conveniently located next to the UCSD Central Campus Trolley Station and the Gilman Parking Structure. It's a really beautiful setup, with plenty of outdoor seating, whether you want to sit at the lawn, the various tables and chairs, or even the amphiteatre seating itself. There were a few vendors that have usually set up at the market, including House of Bao, Bubbas Hawaiian Snack Shack, Belinda's Familia, Seb Panini and a Sambusa place. I think it's a pretty good lineup, but I noticed the items are very expensive. Further, the selection outside of prepared foods was pretty lacking. There was a florist, but I think more fresh fruit and vegetable options (that accept EBT!) would have elevated the experience and helped with the food insecurity issues that plague college campuses. I ended up visiting Belinda's, where I was enticed by some free samples. I had a chorizo egg burrito, which I thought was really good and a deal for $10! Overall, I think the return of the farmer's market is a net positive for the community! I visited on re-opening day, so I think a couple more weeks will help iron out the selection and variety issues!

Pros: I got the spicy miso ramen and it was really good overall. The flavor was rich, savory, and well-balanced, with a broth that felt hearty and satisfying without being too heavy. The noodles had a good texture and held up well in the soup, and the portion size was solid for the price. One of the biggest positives is the convenience of the location in the Convoy area, which is full of food spots and easy to get to. Parking was also surprisingly good, which is a big plus for this area since it can get busy. Service was fairly quick and the food came out in a reasonable amount of time, making it a smooth and easy dining experience. Cons: Since it's a popular spot, it can get crowded during peak hours, which may lead to a short wait or a busier dining environment. The interior is more casual and functional rather than upscale, so it's not really a sit-down "experience" type of place. Depending on timing, consistency can also vary slightly between visits, especially with different broth types. Verdict: Overall, Raki Raki Ramen is a solid go-to in Convoy for flavorful ramen, especially the miso. It's a great option if you want a quick, satisfying bowl with good parking and a reliable casual dining experience in the area.

The shell itself was nicely warm, had a soft texture with a thin layer of crispiness, making it hold together well, while still being easy to cut through with a plastic knife and fork. The filling was a thick spreading of Nutella, crumbled bits of Oreo Cookies, and mini-marshmallows heated until they were gooey. It was then folded, drizzled with more Nutella and sprinkled with powdered sugar. To add to the artistry of it, a single marshmallow and larger cookie chunk were placed on top. All in all, a beautifully well-made dessert. With my experience limited to the sweet side of the menu, I start with a fairly positive view of this place. The only downside I experienced was the wait for a single crepe to be made. It appeared to be only a single employee behind the counter, making the length of time between ordering, cooking, filling, and plating, a good 12+ minutes. If there had been a line, that could easily have stretched upwards of a half an hour or possibly affected the quality of the final product and tarnished this review. Coming down to UTC is not something I do often. Still, the chance to try something else off this menu is enticing enough to eventually try.
