Went to Sugar Coated on this hot Friday before work. I start work at 8am and went at 7:30 to make…read moreit on time-- I did not make it on time. There were only 2 people in front of us when we went in. The screen with the coffees on it was not on so we had to wait to get to the counter to pick our coffees. I ordered the Tiramisu latte, a cream puff (it was not labeled in the donut case so that's my assumption of what it's called), and a caramel cookie. My friend got a coffee, a donut, and a breakfast sandwich. Ordering was simple.. we got our coffees about 15 minutes after we ordered. Ok that's fine, looked like there was just one girl working on coffees. It took about 25 minutes to get our donuts (which were ready in the case). We got our donuts finally when my friend went up to the counter and asked. It did take about 15/20 for my friend to get her sandwich, which was more understandable because it was a hot sandwich and it did come out verrrry hot. I'm sure they're working out the kinks because they're new so if I come back, I'll update this review for sure! Everything was very tasty, just took awhile to get. The caramel cookie was good, kind of thick but still good. My friend said her strawberry donut was tasty and so was the sandwich. The coffee was super sweet and good, but had a hint of banana flavor, I'm guessing from maybe someone getting a banana latte before me lol. Overall, everything was great, just spent wayyyy longer than I thought standing around waiting. Editing my review to add: My friend had ordered a cinnamon roll but was told there would be no cinnamon rolls until 9am. Kind of inconvenient on a week day when a lot of us are going to work!

Everything felt clean and well-maintained, which is always a huge plus for me. One thing I really loved was the variety. Whether you're looking for breakfast, coffee, a sweet treat, or just a quick snack, there's truly something for everyone. I will say that many of their offerings lean toward the sweeter side, but everything looked absolutely delicious. I tried the maple bacon donut for my husband and a guava donut for myself. The donuts were incredibly fluffy, which I loved. While the guava flavor wasn't as strong as I expected, it was still enjoyable. I'd give it about a 7/10. I also ordered the mango bowl, which is similar to an açaí bowl but with a mango base instead. The fruit was absolutely pristine--fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. However, I don't think I'd come back specifically for the bowls. For the price, the portion felt a bit small, especially considering there are other places in town that offer larger bowls at a similar price. That said, I will definitely be back to try more of their menu. The breakfast options looked amazing, and the prices seemed very reasonable. They also offer a wide variety of coffee drinks with some unique flavors that I'm excited to try next time. Overall, it's a cute spot with plenty of options and definitely worth checking out!

The only thing I wasn't a big fan of was that it came with a lot of boba and jellies, like popping pearls. That part just wasn't really for me, but honestly, everything else about it made up for it. Also, the inside was so cute--it's such a vibe in there and makes the whole experience even better. Overall, it was such a great experience, and I'm really excited to go back and try more flavors!

Got the Sage sausage and egg on a biscuit. Was really good. Biscuit may have been in the dry side but a SOLID flaky buttery biscuit. But what I will be back tomorrow for, and to be honest maybe again today, was the Açaí bowl. This Açaí bowl is a solid 10 out of 10 for me. I've hit the point where I've allowed down eating it to savor it because it's that good. I like more açaí but the mix of berries and the honey they put in it sends it OVER THE TOP! Didn't even get coffee. But I did get a cinnamon roll with maple that I've yet to bite into. Service from the girls up front was great. They ordered my food for me as a first time visitor. Also not too busy. I'll be back!
