Last weekend we rolled in around happy hour, grabbed some loaded nachos and wings that hit way better than your average bar food (that Sofitel polish really shows), and just vibed with the pool view in the background. Staff were super friendly, kept the drinks coming without us even having to flag them down, and the whole place has this fun, laid-back energy that makes you forget you're in a hotel. SNAPS bar is one of the places we go to for some beer and to shoot some pool then go hang out by the bay for sunset or hang out just after sunset. Drinks are hotel priced so expect to pay a little bit more than your usual pub. Service is good and the bar chow is what you would expect from a hotel bar. There's also happy hour from 5-8PM so that can also be an alternative venue for some post-work drinks or apero. Just a word of caution: try not to drink too much, otherwise, you may end up gambling at the casino just next to it!

But the chicken wings and dishes with rice are spot on so you cannot lose there. If you're American accept the fact you'll sacrifice western comfort foods for more value with your favorite drink or another type of food available that is just as good if not better. The staff is solid and considerate with a no b.s. attitude so take care of them. You get a lot of rowdy patrons here but every one here wants a good time so roll with the vibe of the place. You have options as a couple or a large party for a more private experience at any time of the day so if you have no idea where to go no matter what time it is come here and you'll have all your needs met for a good time. The Naked Turtle is a nautical themed sports bar, owned by former dragonboat athlete Ana Santos. (Hence the affection for the marine theme!) It gives a good weekend gimmick feel without the crowds of the more well-known bars on the other side of EDSA. They've got all of the good pica-pica on their menu - salpicao, sizzlers, fries, peanuts, street food - as well as rice meals. Of course, they've got a complete bar, from cocktails to beers. I usually head straight for their Amaretto Sour, beef salpicao, and spicy tofu. To top it off, every Saturday, they've got the best, most awesome live performers ever!
