A friend and I went here for dinner after watching a play over at Ateneo one Wednesday night. It was a quick jump over since it's right across the school. The place was pretty small but the inside was fun because they had this sports cafe thing going on. The flooring even had a half-court design. Cute! The menu was written in chalk all over two wall posts, so as soon as you're seated you see it right away. It wasn't a very big menu because it seemed the focus was really on "game food"-- you know, those simple eats for when you park in front of the TV to watch a big sports game.
I appreciated that they put effort into food presentation considering it's just a small restaurant with a simple menu. My Homestyle Fries were quite a lot and came in wedges on a big chopping block, while my friend's Spaghetti & Meatballs came in a big, deep bowl. Plus points for serving size, yay! Taste, however, was underwhelming. The pasta sauce was fine but the meatballs needed so much salt and pepper. The fries were also a little undercooked and unsalted. We were a bit disappointed with the 50-peso Scoop Shots when they came out because we thought the "shots" meant they came in one of those cookie shots but they just came in these small one-scoop size bowls. The flavors were good though (cookies & cream and green tea) and had extra toppings. At least the crew was very nice and relaxed about our lounging around. Overall, it was a good place for a chill-but-nothing-fancy after school snack. read more
