Came here with my cousin & little brother. She lives 5 minutes away, so it was super convenient. We had the ricotta pancakes, steak & eggs, ricotta pancakes, and caramelized spam bowl. All of it was sooo good. The ricotta pancakes were beautifully fluffy, it comes with 4 big pancakes. We shared this dish and ate like half. It comes covered in syrup & some butter. So good! The steak & eggs were good, though I only had a taste of the steak which was tender & came with tasty gravy sauce. The potatoes looked sooo crispy, and the eggs were perfectly cooked. The spam bowl was good! I'm not the biggest fan of brown rice though (so healthy, right?) so I probably would've liked it more with white rice. The spam was super soft, and flavored well. Kind of sweet, which I like but i know lots of people don't. I'm used to super crispy spam, but this was good. The real star of the meal was the truffle scramble. The crispy and non crispy mushrooms were soooo good. And there's a truffle paste that goes on top! It was so flavorful! And the eggs..... idk how they get it so fluffy and idk, the texture was just so perfect. Honestly probably the best eggs I've ever haha. The ambiance of this place is super cute, something that reminds me of home in the Bay Area or LA. It's in a popular shopping area too. As for pricing, it's more expensive than your traditional breakfast but very cheap compared to US prices which I'm used to lol. The service was super quick and attentive. read more

This place is perhaps one of the most stylish restaurants I've been to in the Philippines. The BGC location is split-level and super cute and photography friendly. I wish I had explored the second floor more. My family and I ordered different types of dishes and paired them all with red wine for dinner. My cousin ordered one of the milkshake and I had to keep asking him for a sip. My mom and I were raving over the creamy carbonara and even ordered an additional plate of it. 2 stars for the look of this place - pretty much made for Instagram. No stars for the coffee or service. It took 20 minutes to get our hot tea and 2 iced americanos... and then another 20 minutes for my cousin to get his cappuccino. We kept flagging down the waiter/waitress to get an update on our drinks but they'd just give us blank stares and then ask their colleagues who couldn't answer. My fiancé (who is as white and blond as they come) asked for a glass of water and the waiter insisted on giving him bottled water. It was only 55 PHP so not worth the debate, but we'd have been fine with service water. We aren't fragile. When my cousin asked for water later on, the waiter have him service water without any questions. So bizarre. And the water bottle looks... phallic? Who designed this stuff? Anyway, my iced americano was fine, if a bit too watered down but no big deal. They provide coarse cane sugar and powdered creamer on the side. This made no sense. Coarse sugar will not dissolve in cold beverages. Overall, would not recommend for coffee. I've not tried the food so maybe that's better here. Service is nonexistent. Tables are sticky. I don't care how much millennial kitsch you throw on this place, would not return. read more

It continues to spread from one town to another as the cafe recently opened a branch in Alabang Town Center and soon in Vertis North across Trinoma. Nothing can be more appealing to the young generation than having a perennial shades of nudes and millenial pink. The store design is charmed with unconventional elements. It has sleek clean lines and good lighting. There is a a marble bar counter that serves coffee, milk shakes, and cocktails. Adding up to the vibe is the chic cuttlery with air plants as table centrepiece. The plain slate at the outdoor sidewall gives a good backdrop for photos. The menu is nothing short but creative. Never imagined a quail egg to be a little cutesy sunny side up egg placed on a crispy parmesan tacos! the meat is spiced up with cilantro. Crispy Tacos (P279). Sunnies Risotto (P370) stands out for me. The main ingredients pardon cheese and caramelised bacon is a flawless duo for me. It is creamy and consistent enough. Food is okay except that I limited my orders to the best-sellers. Sunnies worked hard on the aesthetics even in the presentation of the food they serve. read more

A cute cafe in BGC. We tried to visit a few times but was (politely) turned away due to issues with the gas pipe leak. We did get to dine in a few days later. The interior design was reminiscent of California chic. The leather upholstery is seriously cracking and could use some serious restoration work. Servers were nice, food was substandard. We ordered the pork belly bowl and the loin part was dry af. Soup was a bit watered down. The best part was the fried potatoes, which wasn't horrible. read more

Service was good and attentive. Expected as there seems to be too many staff. There are even 2 ladies outside who just greets you and take you inside. Good variety in the menu. Reasonably priced and serving portions just right. My main and only gripe - food are too salty. Everything we ordered - pumpkin soup, spicy calamari, spicy pomodoro pasta, lax &bagel - were seasoned abundantly with salt. Chef, please check your recipe. Was so excited to finally try this out! My friends and I ordered their best sellers, Eggs Benedict (with bacon-you can choose between bacon or salmon), Steak & Eggs, Tomato soup and for dessert we had the Chocohoe and the black bottom banana cream pie. I really really loved the tomato soup, eggs benedict with bacon and the Chocohoe, everything was good but those three were just awesome and the prices are reasonable too. The tomato soup comes with bread and cheese and the combination is just perfect! I've been looking for really good tomato soup and so glad I tried theirs. Love the interior of this place and the fact that the bathroom had two full length mirrors. Definitely going back to try their milk shakes and chicken and pancakes! read more

I was extremely excited for Sunnies Cafe mostly because of their all-day brunch menu. Looking at the photos online would make you want to try every single item they offer, but it was the Breakfast Risotto that really caught my attention. My boyfriend ordered the Steak and eggs, and during our visit, we also availed their free Sunnies funfetti dessert, which they said was "good for sharing for four people." While I enjoyed my breakfast risotto a lot (I finished the whole thing in less than five minutes), the serving size was disappointing (case in point: I finished the whole thing in five minutes.) For Php 360, it's not something you can count on to satiate your hunger, and you'll need two of these to be happy. Breakfast is supposed to be the most energizing meal of the day, which is why I love breakfasts. Even the Steak and Eggs was pretty dry and sad. The Funfetti's serving was also small, and is good for one. I hope they improve the serving sizes so that their meals would be good value for money. As it stands with their "Georgina Wilson" serving sizes aka pang-model, I don't see myself coming back in the near future. read more

We were walking around BGC and wanted a quick bite before a scheduled massage and decided to stop here since the menu was right up my alley (breakfast foods) and the interior had a funky feel... Unfortunately, after we were seated, things started to go downhill, we waited 10-15 min for a waiter, any waiter to stop by. When we ultimately waved one down, he gave us a deer in the headlights look like why are these people waving at me? Duh, there's a reason why you're here ! They don't pay you to walk around in squares trying to avoid eye contact with customers... But anyway, after ordering we waited another 20 or so minutes for the food to arrive. Keep in mind, I ordered chicken and waffles, not beef wellington or what not... and my gf ordered the fish. By this time both of us were pretty disappointed with this place but the food actually tasted surprisingly good ! But by that time we were both turned off about the wait... And by no means was this place understaffed so it's not an overworked wait staff. Service is a prob one the easier things to fix in a restaurant so I hope management can right the ship... Given the food and decor, it's a unique place along the strip that has a lot of potential of being a standout place, but some employee training would go a long way.... read more

Experience was very disappointing. Food took forever to make. When food finally arrived, it was cold. Kimchi fried rice tasted nothing like kimchi. We told the waiter. All he could do was apologize and promised to notify the chef. Also, the bathroom had no paper towels or dryer to dry off your hands after washing. And of. The green tea was dark brown in color. The food here is so good. I ordered the Guacamole Salmon Poke with chips and the Truffle fries that they have. I gave this place a three because service was so bad. There weren't a lot of people when I was there, perhaps half the restaurant was full. It was hard to order from the waiters and I had to go to the counter. One of them even forgot my order and so I had to call them again. When I got the bill it there were two orders of the Macha Bomb... also the coffee I ordered was spilled all over the tray. I worked as a waiter one summer so I know how hard it is, but I also know that service and attentiveness is important when working in this environment. Hope you can improve. read more

I visited Sunnies Café during a recent trip to the Philippines. Everything was exceptional from the service to the food. The menu has good selection to choose from without being overwhelming. The Sunnies Risotto had the perfect texture and creaminess. The fried chicken was super crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The meal ended with the best milkshake I ever had!
